Cardonali the magical imp was doing what he always did, he caused   trouble to others for his own amusement.  Cardonali had the ability to   put any thought into a person's mind and manipulate them as he wanted   to.  He stood unobserved or at least unacknowledged in the back of an   elevator waiting to see who would get in.

When Judith and William entered the elevator, Cardonali put some very evil thoughts into Judith's mind.  Judith rubbed her hands and smiled broadly.  But it was William who was the first one to speak.

"What did you do to me?" William asked.

"Do you remember that woman who you had an affair with?"

"Affair?  I never had an affair."

"Don't deny it, I'm a witch I know everything."

William knew that Judith his wife of over fifty years was telling the truth.

"Anyway, you are over seventy, but now you have the maturity of a tenth that.  So you have the maturity of a seven-year-old.  You have all the likes and dislikes and knowledge of a child.  You won't be chasing after women anymore, you think all girls are yucky!"

It was true, but William wouldn't admit it.  "I do not!"

"Yeah, sure.  We'll tell everyone you had a stroke and you are returning to a second childhood.  A childhood you will never grow out of.  I'll buy you lots of toys and games and stuffed animals.  We will play Sorry! and Guess Who.  You'll help me  make cookies and you'll lick the spoon."

"I won't!" William crossed his arms across his chest and pouted.

"Yes, you will.  I'll be able to keep an eye on you all the time and do you know what will happen if you try to tell anyone?"

William asked tentatively, "No."

"Then it's the three Ds for you."

"The three Ds?"

"Yeah, Diapers, Dresses, and Dollies.  And you know I can do it."

William believed her.  He was trapped in his second childhood and he couldn't do anything about it.  Then the doors of the elevator opened, he followed his wife to their apartment.  His head was down, he was very scared.

Judith looked back and saw William, Judith admonished, "DON'T SLOUCH!"
