Expanding Our Squadron - (Patreon)

Hey Squad -! A few days ago YouTube informed me that the channel was eligible for Memberships. I wasn't sure what that was, but it seems to be YouTube's version of Patreon.
Now, I've been giving this a lot of thought and debated whether or not to activate this feature because I didn't want to divide our community. And, after much discussion with some close friends, I've made the decision to activate it next year.

The biggest reason is convenience. I've been told by other creators that in all likelihood, even people who want to support probably just don't want to go through the trouble of creating a patreon account. And, my gut feeling tells me this is probably true -

THAT BEING SAID - I've gone through great measures to make sure that this is just an extension of our current Patron family by doing my best to ensure the Patron Perks are Identical to the YouTube perks. I'm not going to discriminate whether people pay me 1$ on Patreon or $1 on YouTube. So, the $1 and $5 perks are identical to yours here.

There are few differences between the 2 systems though which were tricky. The biggest difference is YouTube required me to create a minimum of 3 Tiers. While Patreon has no such requirement. That's why our YouTube Squad has 1 additional Tier option of $2. This Tier is specific to YouTube because the perk has to do with 'Members Badges'. Badges allow me to see who in the comments is a Member. And, the perk essentially allows me to pay more attention to comments from people who wear the Badges. That's the only difference really. In essence, is similar to how as  a Patron, you guys can message me directly. Which is a bit of an 'Un-official' perk but is definitely something I don't offer outside of Patreon lol. The last big difference is that only 70% of the money goes to me on YouTube, while 95% of the money finds its' way to me on Patreon - So, it actually is better for the channel if people sign up here instead of YouTube if they have the option of both -

Anyway, I wanted to let you guys know before anyone else that this is one of the doors I'll be opening next year. YouTube Member votes will count the same as Patron votes. They will simply be added together. I hope you guys look forward to the new family we'll be growing on the other side :) I think it will be a great way to grow and create more engagement overall.
