My Birthday Break! (Patreon)

Hey guys :) This update is a little different from usual. First, I got a refund on the faulty Kinect Sensor, and with it, I've just finished placing the order on a New Kinect sensor straight from Microsoft. But, since it's directly from Microsoft, it looks like it will be a few days before it arrives at my place.

Since, I'd like to redirect the channel towards Blender and mocap, I wont be uploading any more videos until the Kinect arrives and I make some findings I'd like to share. That being said, I'll be silently working getting the Macrophage engine completed ASAP while I'm waiting on the mail.

With all that being said, I wanted to tell you guys how much you all mean to me, and what I'm hoping to accomplish next month. I can say without a doubt that there is no way I would have ever been able to afford the Kinect if it wasn't for everyone here. I've never had access video based mo-cap before, and I can't wait to see what it can do and share what I find out with the rest of the community :) I know mo-cap is one of those things that a lot of people want to get into, but have some trouble mustering up the courage to figure out. And, that's why I think this next series with Blender, Kinect, and Mo-Cap is so important.

My goal next month is to create the most affordable, quality, and simple to understand Blender Mo-Cap tutorial series in the world. I'm hoping to pave the way for anyone who needs to create a decent in-house mocap studio on a budget, WITH a rig designed for easily transferable Kinect Animations, which people can apply to their own character on a whim AND edit/clean-up with minimum effort.

Later on, I'd also like to do the same thing for more advanced mo-cap things like suits and facial software. But, for now, Kinect is what I've set our sights on for September -

On a side note, my Birthday is also coming up in a few days, and since there is very little I can do until the Kinect arrives, I've decided to take the next 3 to 5 days off catching up with family, friends, and taking a small break from social media all together.  When, the Kinect arrives, that's when I'll kick back into gear and immediately begin working figuring out as much as I can and sharing it as fast as possible.

So, I just wanted to share that with you guys to make sure you're all filled in on my end. I hope everyone is staying safe, and doing alright. Again, thank you everyone for being here supporting the channel. It really means the world to me.
