In the first episode, the show introduces its primary characters and offers a concise overview of its premise. Additionally, it delves into Roderick's background, revealing details about his parents and the enigmatic woman from his past.

One of the most captivating aspects of this episode is its visually stunning imagery. Despite the brevity of Roderick's hallucinations, they leave a lasting and disquieting impression.

Following the funeral ceremony, a crow makes an appearance, drawing parallels to Edgar Allan Poe's literature, where crows symbolize eternal sorrow. Given Roderick's tragic loss of all his children, this symbolism takes on a poignant and haunting significance.

The episode's ingenious use of sound proved to be both frightening and praiseworthy. The subtle ticking of a clock in the background during the scene where Roderick and Madeline reach out to their resurrected mother adds to the eerie atmosphere. The sound, if attentively listened to, becomes exceptionally unsettling, enhancing the overall sense of dread.

That was an amazing first episode!! You guys missed the ghost of the mother behind Auguste Dupin, she turned around and walked away, there’s definitely too much lights where you guys are at 😂 Also, you didn’t recognize young Shirley from the haunting of hill house, who played the sister Madeline as a teenager (when their mother left the coffin and strangled the boss👀)

You guys only mentioned the first 3 shows. He did midnight club last year. I personally haven't been able to get past the 1st episode yet but it should still be included
