2023-01-01 01:36:32 This isn't entirely distant from Alec Guinness's famous derision of STAR WARS and his late-in-life fame for the part of Obi-Wan Kenobi. He may have sounded like he regretted being recognized by young people as "Old Ben," but kids from my generation and the one after it actually *recognized* him, and we wouldn't have without it. Heck, I can't be the only SW fan who checked out BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI, THE LADYKILLERS, OLIVER TWIST, and KIND HEARTS & CORONETS because the now-beloved actor was in them. And that's something.
