Hello again everyone!

A faction is nothing without any land to its name. That's why in this post I'll discuss how capturing non-civilized territories like mines and bandit camps will work in order to get your faction off the ground and begin to establish it as a power.

Upon creation of your faction, you will receive a new power, the 'Place Banner' power:

On activation, it will place your banner at the position you are standing at and claim the area as your own. This will only work after you have cleared out the location of all the bandits, warlocks, etc.

After you place your banner you will be able to manage the area that you have just claimed. Right now there are two types of areas you can claim with the 'Place Banner' ability: Hideouts and Mines. Capturing mines will allow you to recruit miners to it and use it as a source of metal for upgrades for your troops or selling to increase the income of your faction. However, you must also recruit guards to defend the areas, or you'll lose them back to the bandits.

Every area you claim will also increase the amount of troops you can recruit per day as your faction gains more influence. (This is not how capturing cities, forts, and villages will work as you'll have to plan with your General when you want to capture those.)

I have a question, is the "metal" you are talking about going to be its own resource or are mines going to give you whatever that mine produces? Ex. is Embershard going to give iron? If the second will we be able to capture dwemer ruins to get dwemer metal?

ConquestOfSkyrim

Yes metal is its own resource for simplicities sake.
