For our last Twin Peaks watch for 2023 we dig into Laura's Secret Diary and The Orchid's Curse, and what we find is a whole lot of Andy's sperm.

lol I did NOT think that was supposed to be a disguise. Thought the whole thing was part of the bad but intended execution. Considering most yellow/black face has always had that "bad-disguise-that's-fooling-no-one" aesthetic.

So I basically didn't figure out the Tojamura thing when I first saw the show, I thought it was actually a new character, although I knew something was "off." Full disclosure: I'm a Japanese-American, and not spotting the fake may or may not say something about me.

According to Frost and Lynch, Twin Peaks only has 5,000ish people. There are stories that ABC made them change it because small town shows weren’t doing well. I believe in one of the in-universe books, it’s explained the sign painter was drunk and added the extra digit.
