10 Cloverfield Lane is nothing to do with this movie. It was something else that they didn't have faith in, so the renamed it relying on brand recognition. Cloverfield Paradox is a quasi-sequel but is meh.

You can actually see when the monster arrives at the end when they're on the ferris wheel and he's pointing the camera at the ocean you can see something fall from the sky into the ocean around that area where that cruise liner is passed it in the distance

10 Cloverfield Lane is worthwhile... I'd see no need to go beyond that

Deano

Right at the end you see something land in the ocean, far right check it

I really think you guys would enjoy Steven Spielberg’s adaption of war of the worlds

A bunch of people have already mentioned the details spread out in a dozen posts, so I'll try to condense: The various "Cloverfield" movies are not direct sequels/prequels to each other, rather they're vaguely connected through similar concepts and themes. The best comparison I can think of in current media is "Black Mirror", where each episode is a completely unique concept but nonetheless they still connect. Yes, I think "10 Cloverfield Lane" is the best of the films. "The Cloverfield Paradox" has a bizarre production backstory, and it received NO marketing or any pre-release buzz -- literally not even a release date -- until a trailer was aired during the Super Bowl and the film was released on Netflix an hour later. It's generally agreed to be the weakest of all three films, and it may not be worth watching for the channel. There is a VAST amount of lore for this original film that was released as marketing in the buildup to its release. People often say that if you watch the end of the tape at Coney Island you can see "the alien" landing in the water, but that's not quite accurate. You do see something falling in the water, but according to that lore it is a deorbiting satellite, and that satellite is what WAKES UP the monster from the ocean floor.

Love this movie so much! Definitely one of my favorite monster movies! Would you two do reactions to Godzilla movies? Wither it be the newer ones or the older ones? Would love to you guys react to Shin Godzilla (2016).

Dope that you two watched this, one of the best POV (maybe the best overall) movies ever. Much more realistic than I thought it would be back when I saw it in the theater

While it's very good and maybe the most technically proficient because of it's budget, it's not the best overall. Not while REC, Lake Mungo, and Man Bites Dog exist.

This is such a good movie-just a simple monster movie. Can watch it over and over.
