Young Blood Priest

The commanding officer in Last Action Hero was a parody of several characters, one of them being Inspector Todd in this movie. The others were the commanding officer in 48 hours and Captain Dobbie in Starsky & Hutch a cop show from the 70s.

The sequel was pretty good too. The third was meh, imo. Eddie Murphy still has one of my favorite skits in all of SNL, Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood, a parody of Mr. Rogers but in the ghetto. Funny coincidence, Bronson Pinchot plays the funny art dealer guy with the weird accent, and he plays a small role in another crime movie about someone from Detroit who comes to LA: Quentin Tarantino written, Tony Scott directed, "True Romance", you guys gotta watch it, just for the insane number of cameos in it, so many actors, plus it's a really cool movie.

Axel is actually a fairly common name in Sweden. We have more than 58,000 Axels with ~18,000 using it as first name.

The name of that song is "Axel F", so yes, it was the theme to this movie and became a big hit.

"Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" is well worth a reaction. A classic post-modern western. (The Sting is also another amazing Paul Newman/Robert Redford pairing.)

George, I have to disagree about the scene in PT&A. They weren't just "cuddling". The man had his hand all up in Steve Martin's ass. Thus the "those aren't pillows!" line. I don't think they overreacted.

Of course it's possible to watch two things at once while paying full attention to both. I'm doing it right now and basically every moment I'm home lol. I'm playing video games, watching you, and watching the movie all at the same time (I have 3 TV's and a laptop in front of me). If I do just one thing, I get bored.

This was the movie that took Eddie Murphy from popular comedian/actor to mega movie star. Beverly Hills Cop held the record for highest grossing R rated movie for nearly 20 years. Passion of the Christ is the film that knocked it off. 😐

Victor Maitland's house, where the final shootout takes place here, is the same house where they have the final shootout in Commando.

The man who murders Mikey is the same actor who plays Mike in Breaking Bad

I'm genuinely happy that you both enjoyed this! This is a movie that I remember watching as a kid and getting tons of laughs! Now, as an adult II understand a lot more of everything that's going on - I enjoyed it far more. I'm hoping that ya'll continue along with the series. :)

To answer your question at the beginning… those were not extras and the film makers did not need permission. The law in the US allows anyone to film anyone, without consent, so long as they are outdoors in public
