You guys should do Part 2 as well. A lot of people don't think it's as good as this, but I still love it.

And of course there's the irony of Sylvester Stallone's ex-wife being in the sequel, when the original was initially going to be a Sly movie. And they were definitely married at the time BHC2 was being filmed.

agree w most that the second is worth watching...the third not so much... they recently did a fourth film called Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley. According to IMDB it is in post production and due on Netflix in 2024.. looks like a good cast..along w Eddie it has Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Kevin Bacon so my hopes are high

I don't know why people say that the second movie isn't as good as the first one. I think it's the best out of the three. And to tell George and Simone to not watch the third one and to say that "we" pretend it doesn't exist, is a bit exaggerated. It's not as good as the first two but it has its moments and is still fun to watch.

yeah always thought the second one is also the best one, the ratings are pretty mean for that :/ when I was a young teenager I loved the third one cause of the setting lol

Not a great movie even by 80s standard but so much fun. The definition of a character driven show. Everyone loved Axel & Billy. It helped that MTV was promoting the crap out of it. That's the way I remember it anyway. Fun to revisit and glad you enjoyed it

I think Eddie Murphy did a lot of his own dialog... But I also think that he didn't do much - if any - improve while filming because the camera work and the other actors were "in synch" all the time... It seems apparent to me that he wrote his dialog prior to shooting...

Eddie Murphy in The Golden Child from 1986 ... not his best but the special effects are pretty good for an 80s movie
