This movie falls under a category heading I adopted years ago: "Harmless". It's not great - it was never designed to be. It's just a fun, innocuous way to kill an hour and a half. It's not terrible by any stretch. It's just . . .harmless. And thanks, George, for another thumbnail that will haunt my dreams. . .

People can label this movie a chick flick or whatever they want and I don't even care - if I see this movie on, I am watching the whole thing; I fucking love it!

So... Simone says "don't judge people because of what makes them happy." Let's explore this with some examples from the movies. Here are just a few things that make people happy. :-) - Patches O'Hoolihan from Dodgeball finds that dringing his own urine makes him happy. - That guy from John Wick got very happy killing the puppy. John Wick judged him for it. We all know how that went down. - Johnny from The Shining really gets happy chasing people with an axe. Does anyone else want to give Simone of things that make people happy that maybe we should judge them for? Great reaction. It made me very happy. :-)

Emotionally mature bully? Oh, Simone is so sweet. That's kind of like looking for serial killer with a heart of gold. My personal approach to bullying was to avoid them at all costs. No interaction is ever good. Don't try to pet the crocodile. Speaking of shy nerds, did anyone notice that the quiet dorky guy in the film was Oz Perkins, Tony Perkins' son? So perhaps if you are bullied as a child you can always go home to Mother . . . and later open a motel.

Hmm, Uncanny Valley . . . This supports my theory that the android movie was a docudrama, and that George created Simone to have a friend to watch movies with. Just a theory.

I love Luke Wilson but I just went through his filmography and realized he's been in a ton of terrible movies. Anyway, check out The Royal Tenenbaums, The Family Stone, and Old School for his good stuff.
