Since the episodes are so short we will be doing 4 at a time so season 1 will be done in 3 weeks, afterwards we will return to Season 5 of The Wire.

‘One’ is the name of the original webcomic author. His art is super goofy though so he teamed up with, in my opinion, the greatest present day manga artist (Murata) and basically remastered the series. Which is what the anime goes off of kinda

This is one of the very few times where I will actively and fervently recommend the English dub version to people who are English speakers. The line delivery is such a huge part of the humor, and whoever they hired to do the dub absolutely knocked it out of the park. Saitama sounds genuinely disinterested most of the time in a hilarious way, while Genos sounds exactly like the parody of the anime hero he is. So much of the humor is lost if you don't speak Japanese fluently.

One Punch Man is fun but I do believe that the joke loses steam after a while. It’s not that engaging to me for a whole series. But getting drunk and watch along with friends who have never seen it is a lot of fun and I highly recommend.

I thought of One Punch Man kinda like Dredd where the main character(Dredd/Saitama) in their world is already more or less established and maybe learns a thing or two but the show gives you another character with the potential for an arc and propel the story (Anderson/Geno).

Season 1 is cute, fun, and cohesive, but I wouldn't recommend continuing past that, honestly. Feels like one of those things where the series should have been done after that point (and the premise can only be taken so far), but they just succumbed to the temptation and over wore its welcome.

I recommend Mob Psyco 100 also from the author of One Punch Man, a more wholesome story with comedy, and good action

btw the episodes sometimes have an end credits scenes, they're not super important but I would recommend checking those out

Oh this is going to be fun. I'll second the Mob Psycho 100 comment. Same general feel and animation, but very wholesome and entertaining, and it's complete now (without being very long)

Omg! If One Punch Man is on the table, then does that mean Mob Psycho 100 (same author as OPM) has a chance?

When they released Space Adventure Cobra on DVD they redubbed all the voices and changed the entire soundtrack. The original SAC ad the greatest anime soundtrack of all time. I was livid.
