Also why does that hotel police chase scene remain me of both hitman contracts and hitman absolution lol

So you both a Fan of the Bourne series. It is a great series and can't wait until you react to the rest of them...

The shaky cam was very much the style of the time. I love that this film ends with an apology, it elevates it from a lot of the standard spy genre stuff. The writer of this and the next Bourne movie, Tony Gilroy, used his Bourne clout to make a legal thriller called Michael Clayton that is excellent and highly recommended. It fits in thematically with a lot of what this channel has been doing recently. Another good thriller set in India with a couple on the run who hide out in Goa is The Wedding Guest starring Dev Patel. Anyone who likes espionage thrillers/romantic road trip movies is going to enjoy it. Goa is absolutely a tourist town.

Alright Alright already. Get it with carema shake. LOL. Each of these kept getting better and better as they went along. The 1st 3 movies are based off the 80's books by Ludlum and these are the only 3. the 2016 movie) also Bourne Legacy was decent but connected only with couple things. (Things like black briar.) If we did a drinking game on how many times you mention shaky cam I'd be passed out drunk 🥴 🤣 🤪

Amazing reaction to part two of an awesome trilogy. I actually laughed out loud a couple of times. You two also opened up my eyes to why shaky camera work can be a negative. It has never bothered me and I never would have thought it could make a movie unwatchable for some people. Being entertained and learning something new at the same time, what more could I want in a reaction video!

For those of us that don't care about shaky cam I appreciate you letting us know every single time you notice the shaky cam.

Chints' Miniature Mistakes

Hello! Indian here. Can confirm Goa is a *very* tourist-y location. Loads of beaches, cheap food and alcohol and unlike a lot of other places in India, White people don't get stared at (as much) and have their personal space violated by people taking pictures. White women especially are victim to this a lot in places like Delhi or Bombay. Even more so in smaller cities.

Honestly, Simone is totally right as far as I am concerned, "the" fight is absolutely legible considering the intense shaky cam. There definitely is a limit, but imho the Bourne lines are still well within reasonable boundaries for what is tolerable. Bad luck for people with any sort of inner ear problems, the day we can fix vestibular well-being is the day VR and sim-racing will full blow up... but you can train yourself too, that is unless you fall within a tiny fraction of all people. It just sucks so much to get there. But still, maybe the picture was way down for George or something, but I think this is the perfect showcase of how to use seemingly confusing filmmaking techniques to favor the general mood and scene while still being proper about showing the important stuff to the audience - these movies (I think) are rated around "teen" in most countries and yet feel so visceral. That takes skill, many directors and crews can't make an R-rating work in their favor, let alone PG or PG-13.

People also perceive things differently, either by habit or some psychological thingamajig that I don't know well enough to talk about. The first time I saw this, I thought the editing was a terrible mess because I, too, was a fan of Hong Kong action movies and other stuff where you can see the choreography. Then I saw the third one and thought it was brilliant; after that the second one clicked, too, and I understood what was going on. I don't know if it was just me seeing it the second time, or being more open-minded, or what, but something changed.

Yeah, and I mean really, really differently on top. My favorite records (Baroness, somewhat shouty prog-sludge with some of my best-liked instrumentation, orchestration, and performances in general, esp. Blue, Red, Y&G) were recommended to me by a friend and I ended up playing at least two records through a series of cranky naps. Thought it sucked so much, but something made me power through after the fact and I ended up with one of my top artists, almost put aside forever because I was tired and hungry. Stuff's weird. "Ironically liking something" should fall under the same entry on tvtropes, I guess. Use idioms of your trade or niche, and you will obsess over them the same way fans would. A hater is just a huge fanboy - except with about twice the amount of knowledge. Either way, you'll learn to appreciate kitschy or stereotypical flourishes and phrases and licks just the same, And why stop there: reactions are such a weird little emotional booster, which I guess is what most people are here for: watching things with friends who have kind of perfected their brand of somewhat knowing when to not talk too much (because that'd clearly suck). Never mind the circlejerk nonsense about allegedly "parasocial" relationships skewing how your life will turn out - nah man, some of us have these circles of cynical friends and we all just sometimes can't with them. Great companionship, worst people to enjoy TV or movies with by a mile and a half. I like sharing this experience with folks who don't spend all their energy on trashing something they barely comprehend, hence this here channel, I guess. I had some cool movies massively enhanced, simply by other reactors' enjoyment. Which might explain why I feel like emotional or "visceral" reactors play well in that space, because it definitely can cue you. A way more subtle laughtrack, if you will. Shared empathy, all that's missing at this point is LSD. Priming and preconceptions is another aspect heavily skewing experiences, imho. Just hearing bad things about a movie might set you up for disappointment. Then again the bad word of mouth might very well overshoot the target so your expectation of "bad" ends up making you enjoy the movie even more, but yeah, I kind of don't like knowing what others already debate heavily. General plot is fine, I'm definitely with the sparse research on this one, hinting at vague plot knowledge enhancing enjoyment, not diminishing it. I'm a huge fan of rewatches too, most of us can't keep track of a story for more than a year, let alone a decade.

Great reaction from the both of you! Simone, the tower in Berlin is called "The Fernsehturm" or TV Tower. George keep up with the jokes! I can not wait for the third movie reaction. The three are linked pretty close together. The 4th does not have the character Jason Bourne in it and no Matt Damon. The fifth sees the return of Damon/Bourne and I found it equally as good. Keep up the great work, you two are a lot of fun.

Tyler Mckenzie

I got Simone's reference in the intro. Gilmore Girls fan here.

The Bourne trillogy is definitely great but we need you to get back to Mission Impossible also. There's a reason there's so many. Superb Tom Cruise franchise.

pam pam and her pam pams

The protest signs said things like "stupidity for everyone", "education is not a product" and "we are the future" - as far as I could make out. It seemed to be a mix of different protests but mainly education-related. The pink payphones (back when there were payphones ^^) were typical Telekom Payphones, pink is their brand color. Also iconic, albeit even more old fashioned are yellow telephone boxes. If you ever watch "Run Lola Run" (starring someone you might recognise from this film), you'll see a lot of those. "That building!" is the Berliner Fernsehturm or TV tower.

George was in rare form here. I for one enjoyed all of it.

I really wish you guys hadn't seen the shaky cam comments from the first film. I feel a lot of George's comments were driven from that. It almost seemed like he was spending the whole time looking for it.

Sarah

OMG George, do you play Eve?

Logan Kerlee

Really enjoyed watching this with you both! I first watched each of these in theaters with an old, old friend named Logan. He was an awesome dude who didn't mind taking a 12 year old with him, even though I was in a wheelchair. Maaaaan.. memories. :) Good vibes and all that. Hope everyone's doing well! Also, what the hell George?! xD The Alliance will be after you if you don't keep that down. :P

Steve Arnold

I loved how Simone was mesmerized by the TV-Tower „Alex“ on Alexanderplatz. There is a restaurant in there which offers quite a view over Berlin. The protest depicted in the movie was supposed to be about better education. Can‘t wait to see your reaction to Bourne Ultimatum. Looking forward to it.

David RedEagle

It takes two would be so much fun to watch you two play. Its designed for coop and its so much fun.

I will never understand why George hated the shaky cam in hunger games so much, here again " they were just walking over grass" they were running through the jungle lol. I usually dont have this with him, except maybe for expanse, but it seems like a hate to hate it thing, and if it really just bothers u as much, dont mention it all the time, I think it ruins alot for Simone, and for people like me, who arent really bothered by it. I still enjoyed the reaction quite a bit tho.
