Some directors just have that little extra magic that elevates your experience and you can't reach the same sensations in any other media. Tarantino, Fincher, Cohen, Gibson, Lynch, Crowe, Spielberg, Zemeckis, Burton, W.Anderson, P.T.Anderson, Vaughn, Villeneuve and Scott. The rest just seem to do bad to good work. It's funny how some are just consistently creating magic.

Really? I think Fincher, Lynch, Spielberg, Zemeckis, Burton and Scott all have made movies in the range from mediocre to absolute stinkers. 😅 Scott and Burton in particular are very hit or miss for me.

Mm yeah I knew when I had made the comment that all of it is super subjective. However. Your examples is spot on. Scott and burton is absolutely stinker makers. They have created magics though noone ever has. And that was my poorly communicated point. Its not about flawless directors but directors that are uniquely able to create magic noone else can.
