The beginning of the movie is very Abbott and Costello with the "Who's on First" style comedy writing. Sorry George wasn't into that kind of humor, but I'm glad he stuck with it and enjoyed the movie overall.

Id you are familiar with the YouTube channel, Legal Eagle, he did a take on this movie, and rated the courtroom accuracy. He said that this movie is one of the most referenced movies for lawyers. While there are, obvious, mistakes made for the sake of drama or comedy, he said that this, remains, one of the most accurate trial movies. In fact, Joe Peshi's cross examination of the witnesses, and his, open ended, questioning of Merisa are used as, positive, examples in many legal classrooms. Aside from that, I loved how Merisa's change of demeaner, during her testimony was portrayed. She was, not only, helping like she really wanted to do, but by pulling her onto the stand, unprompted, Vinny was showing his faith in her skill, to see the truth, with only a light hint. Seeing as, if Vinny had introduced his line of reasoning, and had her verify it, it wouldn't have had, nearly, as much impact as she seeing it on her own. In that moment, he was telling her that he trusted the case, and the lives of his cousin and friend with her. I think that was why she was smiling so much, and not just the vindication of showing up the whole courtroom.

This movie may seem ridiculous, but police in the states are awful and there are many cases of people getting convicted over stupid situations. That's why if you get arrested in the US just shut the fuck up and get a lawyer. I'm totally opposite to George on the writing. The parts George found frustrating I found so funny! I find comedy writing like this hilarious.
