Great movie! Love that they had the balls to kill off scarlet witch.

America Chavez was wearing a jacket inspired by the flag of Puerto Rico, not the US. I can see how it could be confusing though especially since you associate the name America with the US.

George: "it had an Evil Dead feel..." Sam Raimi: "Got 'em!"

America is not an uncommon name in Latino/Latina culture. I've known of a couple of women named America.

I think your movie style you're thinking of is "camp" or "b-movie horror"

Click your heels Dorothy, you've had the power all along. I so loved all of this, including the last post credits scene, that was definitely for us old school (or just old) Evil Dead fans, specifically a certain slapsticky sequence in Evil Dead 2. Yeah this one completely blew my expectations away, from the Prof X et al reveal to the necromancer Dr. Strange. I loved that Dr. Strange kind of got his own sidekicky Peter Parker mentee like Ironman did. And how the wrapped up the Scarlett Witch story line, she redeems herself and in a way releases herself, not to be morbid but she was kind of living in her own Hell, no Vision, no kids, and in my mind there's still definitely a chance, even probability, that we'll see another very powerful Wanda, I hope so. Sam Raimi showing us he's still got it! No one makes a movie quite like him, in part I think the charm is that it was well made but didn't take itself so seriously that it couldn't have some fun, take some risks. That's what I've always said made the Marvel movies generally more entertaining, with some notable exceptions of course (namely the Richard Donner Superman movies and the several incarnations of Batman). Also, they dropped a couple hints that they watched Serenity, looking forward to that reaction, haven't seen it in years but I remember I thought it was great (and sad 😢).

Looks like I accidentally deleted my comment. This is a great movie and it was was so awesome to see Professor X again. I'm very excited about the upcoming MCU Fantastic Four movie. Also X-Men that hasn't been announced yet but I'm sure its coming.

Loved the reaction! It was so great. Seeing Raimi back in action with a Character he loves is always a blast. I have a question. Maybe you already talked about it in which case I'm sorry for asking it, but, are you planing on reacting to Eternals? I noticed you jumped from Shang-Chi to Spiderman/Dr Strange and I was wondering about it.

It's funny I wanted to see this in theaters too! But I was so in love with The Northman (still am) that I wanted to see that multiple times rather than watch this. Pretty sure I saw The Northman like 5 times in the theaters! 🤣Anyways, had a lot of fun with this film! So glad Marvel didn't butcher Sam's style too much and they let that corny, zany style of his come through! You guys need to do a Sam Rami movie sometime like Drag Me To Hell or The Evil Dead films.

Thanks for doing this ... for some reason I was hesitant to watch this film because I thought they were going to make the multiverse corny. I had no faith in how they would create this. But you posted this and I figured why not watch, so I did, and the movie was quite fantastic!
