America was a common name for the first child of a family born in the US. It means that her parents were immigrants. So I think she wasn't named for "Yay America!". I loved this movie in IMAX but when I saw it on the small screen I liked it less. I think this is a movie where a large screen makes a HUGE difference.

I loved this film! My favourite part is the arm chair critics saying its a mess of a film when there is literally "madness" in the title.

I liked this movie but agree with many of the criticisms here and elsewhere. I wouldn't call it a "disaster" as another user did, but it definitely has some big script issues. But nothing that completely soured me; not my favorite, but fun and so far there's still only two MCU movies I didn't like enough to ever want to revisit it, and this one isn't one of them. But also I'm generally more forgiving of movies and shows with some warts showing than a lot of people online. For instance, despite their flaws, I'm positive about all of the Disney+ Star Wars and MCU shows so far. It's kind of a blessing, it feels sometimes, that I can enjoy things that seem to get a lot of the internet all tweaked. Wish I could share my easy joy with them all lol

A Red Mage Named Blue

I can definitely see flaws in this film and I know what could have done with another draft to improve, but as it is it's still fun and that's the most important part

Elizabeth Olsen could have been a serious actress with her amazing performance in Martha Marcy May Marlene but instead went down this avenue. It’s a shame.

Didn't care for this one. Everything Everywhere all at once was vastly superior.

A Red Mage Named Blue

If you thought this movie was kinda nutso, I'd recommend "Army of Darkness", by Sam Raimi and starring Bruce Campbell. It would definitely be an interesting reaction video

Dooly

Gotta start with the og The Evil Dead or at least Evil Dead II

every criticism is basically explaining why the pink wedge was Arts and Entertainment

Simone looks like Ms Olsen at that age.

Definitely think they can skip the original Evil Dead and just go to Evil Dead II. They should also get Darkman in there, and The Quick and the Dead.

I honestly found this movie rather dull. That was until it went full on Raimi in the last 30 minutes and became hilarious with its stilted dialog, sharp camera cuts and overly long shots. The quick closeup cut to 'zombie strange' in Wonda's house almost mad me spit take in the cinema. By that point I stopped caring whether or not it was a good MCU movie and just enjoyed the 'madness'. Of course Bruce Campbell's little cameo was the icing on a strange tasting cake.
