GRIMHELM (Circle)

GRIMHELM is a developer that I only discovered at the full release of Alien Quest: Eve, which left me shocked back then at how much effort can be put into H games.

In a sense you can say that it is thanks to GRIMHELM and Libra Heart that I decided to go deeper into the H scene and explore the real gems out there.
As someone who built his "career" from variety gaming, I always first and foremost care about the actual gameplay, and work my way from there.

This developer unfortunately didn't have that many releases, but even so, you can clearly tell that he put his soul into these games, by creating a unique atmosphere that peaked at Alien Quest.
While his first release felt like a tech demo, and the second one a more fleshed out version of it, you can see how he molded all the feedback and past experience into his third release and frankly one of the best 2D H games ever released to this date.

AQ:E's animations are incredible, the gameplay is legit (even if kinda janky here and there), it stays true to the rules of metroidvania, and borrows a lot of ideas from Metroid.

I did wish to hear more from GRIMHELM, but sadly I'm not sure if they're working on anything else or even involved with the scene at all anymore.
Nonetheless, I'd heavily recommend to check out at least Alien Quest: Eve.
The former two releases I'd say just watch the galleries, being of great quality on their own.
