Review:

This game is what "Warrior Girl" (Post #40) should've been.
The gameplay is pretty fun - you control a female knight (mercenary?) that takes up jobs of clearing up lairs of monsters with deadly bosses at the end of them.

The controls:

- Slash: This is your basic attack. You can attack in 3 direction for different incoming threats.
- Defend: Always active as long as your shield isn't destroyed (has durability). Just like slashing, you can defend in 3 direction against incoming attacks.
- Special move: Hold back and attack to charge up a special forward attack that deals up to twice the damage of a normal attack. This attack is on cooldown that can be mitigated with items effects and buffs.
- Items: Use a variety of items to your advantage to take on the challenges ahead.

They actually did a good job turning this into a legit game with proper difficulty that requires focus and attention. Any game where mashing punishes you is already a plus in my book.

The difference in areas is mostly cosmetic with increased intensity up to the 4th dungeon, where new types of enemy behavior and hazards are thrown into the mix.
There's a big play at countering enemies from different directions, so you need to react to each encounter appropriately.

It's kinda funny how I usually write these reviews about praising the artwork and criticism for shallow gameplay, when this time it's the H content that could use some work.
Don't get me wrong, the animations are great, and the side CG for each one looking good, but well... there's just not enough of them.

While writing these lines, 2 of the areas don't have any H animations at all, and only the first boss has an H animation.
Knowing how these type of games often receive updates, and looking at all the empty space in the gallery, I think it is safe to say that the developer still has further plans for more H content now that the gameplay is complete. (When you beat the game, it says "end of chapter 1", which might also indicate there's more to come).

Overall I found this to be an entertaining experience, and would definitely recommend getting it for the great gameplay and lovely pixel art.

Are there any places besides dl site by any chance? Main concern was games not working due to not being in Japanese time zone. (FYI I’m stupid and new to this XD)

There are two ways to address this: 1. Download Japan Locale Emulator (first link in google, freeware) and right click on the game's .exe to choose to run it with the emulator. It will run just like any other exe, no changes in how you play it. 2. Change your own system locale manually. You can do so by follow these steps: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/all/how-to-change-system-locale-in-windows-10-the/d7826ef0-13cd-43ea-8e01-2846d813dfed I recommend just using the emulator, although some RPGMaker games will only work if you do it manually.

It’s pretty simple to reset locale for the comp, however, to take affect you will have to restart the computer afterwords. This is the first time I heard of an emu for this tho….
