The Feastbringer cometh. Prepare.

It's a feast day miracle! We've got one more release for you this December: a return to one of our earliest boroughs. Crabwell is known as the City of the Eternal Voice, and this year, that voice is demanding the citizens prepare for a holiday that sounds eerily like Christmas. Clearly that can't be a problem... right?

P.S. If you want another holiday one-shot, don't forget about the Thestwick Holiday Special from last year!

Borough Guide

In a rare twist for Borough Bound, this borough guide is in fact a proper little one-shot adventure module! Entac—the voice inside the Omniphone—has demanded that the city prepare for a holiday. He has also decreed that your party of adventures must slay the Feastbringer, a mysterious mountain giant who seems intent only to bring merriment. Will your player give Entac his wish? Or has the mysterious Feastbringer earned mercy?

Maps

We've got three brand new versions of the entire city of Crabwell! Day and night versions of festive, winter, and massacre maps. Celebrate your holiday one-shot with seasonally appropriate re-workings of this massive city. Alternatively, just transpose this faux-Mediterranean walled city to a more polar environment to better suit your campaign world.

PLEASE NOTE that because Patreon has a 200 MB upload limit for zips, you have to manually download most of these maps separately. Here are links to each of the versions:

Festive Day, Festive Night, Winter Day, Winter Night, Massacre Day, and Massacre Night

Patrons at the Chief Courier tier also gain access to three levels of Crabwell's central bank Blynka's Reserve. Look, this one isn't explicitly Christmas-themed, but it is a big building in Crabwell that we always wanted to furnish but never got around to the first time around. You can now run proper bank heists in Crabwell, one of the few cities we've released that canonically has a bank. Grab all three levels in day, night, and unlit variants.

Music

Our composer Will does not like writing Christmas music, and yet he has had to write Christmas music every single year since 2019. Whelp, at least you get to benefit from that! "The Feastbringer Cometh" is cheery but intense Christmas combat music, complete with tubular bells, big brass, and silly drum samples. Fight the Feastbringer in style with this cheesy romp. Alternatively, if your players prefer a bit of sleuthing, throw on the "Mystery" variant for lower-intensity holiday capers.

Michael Benoit

What a wonderful surprise! Is there a version of the stitched together maps with a grid?

Borough Bound

Hey Michael! We don't release gridded versions of our full-sized borough maps. It would increase the total size of our content by dozens of GB, and people who use these full-sized maps overwhelmingly do so in VTTs that have gridding capabilities anyway.
