In today's episode we celebrate 200 episodes of this nonsense, thank the patrons, talk about future plans, and discuss a monster from the 5th edition of the game, the Cadaver Collector!

The one thing I dislike about the cadaver collector is the name - I just can't get on board with the monsters that have dully descriptive names, even if the action seems like it should be evocative. I guess it's partly the non-native-ness feeling - if the language hasn't developed a natural word for it, it makes it feel like there's not much age to the setting. Even if it's made by a wizard, wizards would totally come up with more natural-sounding names on account of a) corpse collector sounds like a mid-rank janitor of evil not a terrifying harbinger of doom and b) wizards are frequently massive nerds who will not pass up the change to make up a cool word. I think if I used a monster like that I'd probably just describe it and see what the players nicknamed it, which might be a satisfying way to resolve the issue...

Also re future episodes, I still really want to hear your thoughts on both sets of contest monsters, though I feel somewhat egotistical making the suggestion!

Corpse Reaper. Necrotic Harvester. Gruesome Gatherer. Mort Hulk.

That was something I definitely put on my to-do list and then just got swept past.
