September Teaser - Loot tier WIPs! (Patreon)

Hi everyone! The theme for the month of September is Priest. The final instalment in the industrial arc, the city guard seeks refuge and healing in a temple, where an acolyte of a strange god can tend to their wounds.

- The inspiration for the deity of this temple and the vivid colour scheme was Tiamat, the many-headed dragon of Dungeons and Dragons. Though Tiamat is evil, we wanted the intentions of this god to be more vague, its malevolence or benevolence to be a mystery, and the temple to be a comforting place, so we kept the colours warm and inviting.

- Influenced by angel and saint imagery, we decided the priest figure in the card could be owl-like in nature, so he's a creature grounded in the world he lives in rather than a kind of otherworldly being. His garb inspired by the priests in ffxiv, with a smidge of real-world Catholic vestments.

- The creature pin's different coloured heads again draw from Tiamat. I included the very first thumbnail sketch Katie did here because it's so charming it makes me smile every time I look at it.
