The Denfield Hoard release to YouTube last week was a great success, and I was happy to see viewers were excited to see something new.

Someone not as familiar with Mac models asked a reasonable question.

Like moth to flame, experts quickly answered, who then argued (kinda) about the success of the Molar Mac, then piled on Steve Jobs.


My overall impression is that Gil Amelio was giving consumers a lot of value with their purchase, trying to win back consumer confidence that was lost during the Michael Spindler era. Steve Jobs seemed to be trying to take some of that value back, cutting legacy features in the name of forward thinking, but also trying to save money on the 'bill of materials'. At this point I can't confirm that the G3 AIO sold well or not, but I do agree that Steve would have killed it either way.

Regardless, it was a subject in my upcoming video and I was surprised it came up in the comments.
