Tail: At this point, I feel as though we’re just teasing the readers…

Jess: I would say Ms. Fox feels the same way. I remember you audibly losing it when I pitched you this dialogue and scene.

Tail: I chuckled at that. But I do really like our pacing and build up, I just thought us cutting right before the reveal is such a tease. It’s fitting since you wrote this.

Jess: There are two considerations on pacing when making a webcomic. Firstly, how it plays on initial release, and how it plays when it can be read as a whole. This is one of those moments that will be a little rougher on pay off for our readers who check each update, compared to supporters who come later and see the next page back to back. It’s just one of those “Nature of the business” situations.

Tail: I figured as much. I often think of the people who pop in every time we update. You can’t please everyone, I suppose. I’ll be happy when we get more pages done though, we’ll be able to please more people right off the bat. ;} Also I forgot to comment on our 4th wall break… Very Wile E. Coyote. I was very much a fan of that.

Jess: Well Tail often will pull a *looks at camera* move on me whenever I say something  that he wants to draw attention to, so putting it in the script is a total homage to the artist as it is to looney toons. And the people who check in with every new post ARE pleased silly, or they wouldn’t be checking in every new post. Just accept that you can’t release 20 pages at a time, because then we have to go months without posting anything as we build up again. ; P

*rimshot*

Tail: It’s funny we say that, because a few minutes ago, I got a message from a reader who commented that he loved when characters break the 4th wall like that and that he enjoyed the page. It’s warming to know people are actually looking out for the next page to come out. It’s reassuring for the future, and we haven’t even gotten to the spicy bits yet…

Jess: Well I did show some restraint… because one of my favorite cliche jokes on 4th wall breaking is to have the other person comment “Who the hell are you looking at?” I’m glad we have fans, and supportive ones too. Every share they give us on social media gives us more, and every fan empowers us to give more time and talent to the comic. We are a very fan driven project.

Tail: I’m glad you didn’t propose we go that hard on the 4th wall break and shatter it. I probably wouldn’t have let it go on. Haha. We’ll always appreciate our fans, but these early patrons and followers are really helping us out.

Jess: I would never shatter a 4th wall… they are expensive and time consuming to replace. And now let’s hop in the time machine to Friday and do the commentary on the begining of the sex scenes… sadly our fans will have to take the long way around… but we’ll wait for them there...
