First Colin called it Sacred Symbols + last week and now he says the wrong number to open the show lol I wonder what’s next?

Not that it matters at all, but he said it wrong last time, and I heard it... Then I looked later on on the episode duration and thought... That's a long ss+

Most people aren’t buying the inflation excuse. They see a subpar service going vastly up in price and aren’t buying it anymore. I canceled mine as soon as I heard the news. Cloud saves are nice but not worth $80 - on Xbox they’re free and Nintendo only charges $20.

“Stiff” is the word to describe the collar look

It’s hard for me to get on board with Immortals of Aveum being “really really great.” Personally, I think it’s entirely average and launched in the middle of a truly great games. Just imo tho

DDTJOESTAR

more women are absolutely gaming, but as spoken of in the topic they don’t want to engage in groups like LSM or Gaming Illuminaughty where they’re usually hounded by feral men with no tact lol. Tekken is a big focal point for this kind of conversation as there is a respectable number of women who compete in that game. Absolutely things like Mario Party and Dreamlight Valley have their market as well (I constantly bring up my wife playing Dreamlight as an example) but I must say, absolutely there’s more women gaming. They’re just still tired of men making presumptions about it 😂 understandably so. (OH and Call of Duty, I still know 4-5 ladies to this day who only buy COD for the Zombies/Multiplayer experience)

The numbers on gender and video games are clearly not accurate. Kudos to Colin for not just believing the bullshit.

My ex girlfriend unironically wore goggles on her head when we went out. Needless to say we are not together anymore...

I like how the write-in mentioned Dredge was available on PS Stars, then Colin mentioned Dredge being available, and then Dustin mentioned it as well.

When I first tried wearing contacts as a teen it took me a long time to get them in. I had this fear of my fingers touching my eyes. Eventually I got used to it. The reason that I like wearing contacts is that I find myself more attractive with them. My glasses have thick lenses and doesn't show off my blue eyes in the way contacts do.

Stinkling

"for some reason people arent interested in immortals" Colin it runs like actual dog shit. For no good reason. Im glad its flopping, we need to stop excusing devs that refuse to optimize. Same goes for Starfield, that game being rated in the 80s and selling as well as it has, in the state its in, embarrassing.

PRETENTIEUX

Check out the excuses made in the Starfield episode of Defining Duke. Get ready to be talked down to like a child for not appreciating the work of a starving artist that is Bethesda. Matty went off the rails for a bit, acting like he's an OG and anyone who doesn't see things his way must be just stupid.

PRETENTIEUX

I switch back and forth between contacts and glasses and both have their benefits. I'm getting older and contacts will start to really dry out my eyes halfway through the day if I am wearing them daily. With glasses, I have to deal with them fogging up when going in and outside while also having to clean them occasionally which becomes a chore. Glasses also force us to make a stylistic choice in which frames we choose, which makes contacts even more appealing. If I could I would make as little stylistic choices as possible in life because I think fashion can be a form of dishonesty and it also gives me anxiety.

Good episode, boys. So far I’m loving Sea of Stars and how challenging the combat is. And man, that pixel art is jaw-droppingly beautiful. Outriders, FC6, Immortals of Aveum… If Colin says that Saints Row is great I think it’s time to officially name him the champion of the mediocre game.

great Episode guys, happy to see my entry got read. the whole correction section was hilarious. and really exciting to see Colin's connection with super*reviews. really looking for ward to that episode of Sacred plus,

Extra is still priced well, it was a steal. However Essentials is arguably a worse deal then just paying $10 a month, when you plan to utilize cloud saves, play something like Dark Souls, and play a "free" game. You also have the luxury of getting premium or extra for that month if you feel you will get a good deal. Premium can go jump off a cliff. I fall in the category of essentials. I am not far off from saying the same about Essentials, cloud saves should be free and paying for online was a fair argument for Xbox Live in 2009 (when things like discord did not exist), now though it is just a small tax we all expect to pay. One that Sony just marked up considerably, sparking a dead topic. I think one of the big problems people came to the realization of with this, is Sony can snap their fingers and boom lock your decade of PS+ games and basic system functions behind a higher paywall.

I personally know more women gamers in real life than men. Although I have more women friends than male friends. The women I know are more likely to play a few games a year and not quite the volume that the men I know that are gamers. In my experience none of them engage in gamer content. I find the numbers very believable. The numbers could be very slightly off however. I agree that

I'm catching up on this episode, a bit late, and just had to jump in on the PS+ topic. I already discussed it with my colleague on our podcast, and we just about agree with what, especially Colin's arguments were, BUT I have to say that you guys are wrong about the "marketing 101". Imagine if they linked the announcement to an especially great month, with a giant value proposition, this would force PlayStation to only do this or better in next months, as the value proposition that came with the announcement is the baseline now (mentally for customers). Yes, some will jump off because of the low value THIS month, but PlayStation is then set for success as they can only do better and probably will - what should win over lost customers, who will say "huh, they actually are trying and giving more". That's how it works (^^.)

When Colin said Animus, I had to google it to be sure it was a real word. As I found the definition, and nodded to myself, Chris said "I forgot that animus was a word outside Assassin's Creed" and I blew up laughing. It's fun to feel like I'm on the same wavelength as you guys. Perhaps I listen too frequently 😅
