Bad Habits, Moral Compass, Patriotism, Our Hold Neighborhoods | Constellation, Episode 27

Let us gather once more for an all-new episode of Constellation, Last Stand's conversational podcast. This week, the Brothers Moriarty are joined by Punching Up co-host Gene Park and Defining Duke co-host Lord Cognito. Based on a tangent occurring just last week on this very show, Cog wants to talk about our interpretation of the so-called moral compass, and how we conduct ourselves when it comes down to honor and honesty. Meanwhile, Gene is curious about the neighborhoods we grew up in, from the Bronx to Long Island to Guam. Dagan got unceremoniously cut-off last week, and so went with his original topic from that show: Bad habits. What are some of our less savory rituals and instincts? Finally, on the back of the Fourth of July, Colin wants to talk about patriotism. How's everyone feeling about America these days? Does the crew share his feelings that there's very little to be proud of about our country right now? Get your plan for $15 a month at https://www.mintmobile.com/con

I like to think of the Cog/Sarah Bond situation as that Sarah actually really wanted a picture with the great Lord Cognito, and was humbled by his very presence. Is that an incorrect assumption? XD

You NEVER take painkillers of any sort when drinking. So glad Gene spoke up about the dangers of mixing those two substances. It's also a really bad idea to mix cocaine with alcohol. It creates this compound in the liver called cocaethylene that is incredibly toxic and horrible for your heart and liver.

I was at Jon Stewarts Rally to Restore Sanity! It was pretty rad

PRETENTIEUX

The Hegelian dialectic was described in so many ways on this episode with no mention or indication of any knowledge of the method itself. Problem > Reaction > Solution wherein the problem is caused on purpose in order to bring about the solution which is really just what you wanted all along. Easy example: After 911 there was a strong reaction of insecurity. People were willing to give up their individual security for perceived group security. This happened again with the vaccine recently. It's happened over and over again. Once these solutions are implemented IT NEVER GOES BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS.
