The Mighty Ducks | KnockBack, Episode 263

Sports flicks are beloved the world over for their relatable characters, uplifting stories, and remarkable endings. Disney's 1992 live-action hockey movie The Mighty Ducks is certainly no exception, though -- more than 30 years later -- there are a few bits that may not have gotten through the goalie (pardon the pun). The reality is this: The Mighty Ducks is arguably the greatest hockey movie ever, and one of the greatest children's sports films of all-time. It's also a movie that happens to be very near-and-dear to one Colin Moriarty's heart, what with his love of hockey and all. He was a third grader just beginning his youth hockey career when The Mighty Ducks hit theaters, and needless to say, it was formative. Quack. Quack. Quack!

Hell yeah! Absolutely adore this movie.

The Disney Plus show was removed due to low viewership unfortunately. I enjoyed the show but it lacked the magic of the originals imo.

I hear you on the tight shoes. 5 years of distance in track and 4 years of CC, you’d tie those shoes so tight you’d break toes. Let’s just say my toes aren’t the prettiest

I loved this movie and the sequel so much when I was a kid.

I did a stooned rewatch of D2 with some friends recently and we were all laughing our asses off over how much of a dick and a sellout Bombay is.

This brought back SO many memories! Loved it! And of course, I love you both too! 😉❤️❤️

I loved the conversation about skate size because it’s so true. We do the same thing in aggressive inline skating. They even make special liners meant for downsizing.

Awesome job guys.

Great episode guys, also recently listened to the 3 part Breaking Bad series review you guys did and i really hope one for Better Call Saul is coming down the line. I think Colin would be in the camp that likes it more than BB, would be interesting to hear his thoughts.

I just got around to listening to this episode and Colin’s comments based on his own experiences with hockey makes this so much more entertaining and hilarious!
