A quick one for Colin. Do you plan to redue your psn friends list?

What's up dudes, Wanted to give you a game to try if you were interested. Going to give you a few NPCs from a game and see if you can guess the Playstation game from that. Ariel, Nupraptor, William the Just Hint: The beginning of the vampire legacy. 3. Alex Balder, Nicole Horne, Mona Sax Hint: Pills heal the pain. 4. Waka, Sakuya, Issun Hint: Master your brush attacks. 5. Quale, Beatrix, Zorn and Thorn Hint: A return to the medieval fantasy form. 1. Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins (2000) 2. Chris, I wanted to say after watching Snark Tank, we don't need to subject Colin to the evolved car crash surviving Ethan Ralph. Please.

What up CDC, longtime firstime and all that jazz. After hearing the enthusiasm with which you speak about the roller coaster ride that is the Chris Chan docu-series, I've set aside my hesitations and started this 50 hour series. One of the first comments on the first video is 'Chris's prom date being his mom is the ultimate Chekhov's gun'. What have I gotten myself into? Will I one day wish for the sweet embrace of oblivion to set free my consciousness from the information it has been burdened with? Is this series a thought virus that I will feel compelled to spread to the blissfully ignorant so that I may take solace in knowing I alone do not bear this cross?

Hey guys! With the recent state of AAA gaming and the consistent release of broken, buggy, and performance hindering games, I found myself asking how these releases benefit the publisher/developer? Doesn't the added distrust weaken future sales and prompt people to wait until a game is confirmed to run at a reasonable state? Or are gamers so quick to forgive in an industry that constantly takes advantage of them? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Greetings Sacred Studs, I have a question primarily directed towards Colin, although I'd appreciate the input of all three of you. Recently, I began working on a video game prototype after completing some preliminary pre-production and design work. I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on how you and LillyMo Games determine which game ideas to fully develop and which ones to keep in a pre-production or prototype state. With numerous game concepts, it's challenging to decide which ones warrant full attention and effort. I've chosen to create multiple prototypes and evaluate which ones have the most potential and appeal to an audience. Thank you for the wonderful content, and keep up the great work. Stay sexy, my friends!

What up my slick ass baby CDC boys! Just wanted to follow up once more from my question on lawn clippings from the other week. Thanks to Colin, I plan on letting my clippings help improve my overall grass health by just chillin and not being thrown away. However, I do have one other question regarding clippings left from edging. What the fuck do I do with all the left over grass after I have swept up? It’s hard to get it all up so I end up blowing it back into my lawn resulting in not the pristine look I’m going after. I see savages blow it back into the street like assholes and don’t want to be that guy. What do y’all suggest? Thanks again, your loving CoryDustin.

Hey boys, This might be better for the upcoming sales saga episode of plus but I wanted to give a shout out to Dredge for hitting number 17 on April’s top downloads. It was a fun little indie game and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys any kind of fishing side-games within video games. Keep up the fantastic work, I appreciate all that you guys do!

Good morning gentlemen, I write to you a tale of sadness and misfortune. About a month and a half ago I was playing God of War Ragnarok. I put in 36 hrs and reached just about the end of the story, but not yet. Then, MLB The Show came out, so I dropped God of War for a spell. I come back to play God of War only to find out that all I had left was a 20-30 minute cutscene to roll the first credit scene. I was apoplectic. So my question, have you guys ever stopped playing a game right before you finished it, and why? Take care and remember to cuddle the chicken sometimes too

Hola Colin, You are DEAD wrong about Amored Core being more accesible than Elden Ring. I have been a die hard Fromsoft fan from Echo Night, Kuon to Soulsborne. Not only is AC several orders of magnitude harder than souls games including Sekiro, its drastically more complicated with a metric shit ton of stats based customizations and combinations to learn, physics based movements and a steep combat learning curve Even something as mundane as jumping or doing a 180 or 360 degree turn takes skill. I shit you not when I say you spend well over 70% of your time in these games in customization menus only to go on a mision and get one shotted. Armored core 6 will break new fromsoft fans. This ain't no Zone Of The Enders. Cheers!

Now then fellas. Just a cheeky bit of trivia for you. My mum is really into looking up our family history and the most notable thing she has found is that we are related to Angela Morley. Most notable for composing the music for the Watership Down movie, and for being the first openly transgender ocscar nominee. The reason I bring this up is that she has worked on 2 things relevant to this specific show. She is credited as having composed or arranged music for the Seinfeld episode 'Anyone For Cha Cha Cha' As well as having done "additional orchestration/composing for Kingdom Hearts. Thought you might like to know. Love you

Hey CDC, why is pixel art so rare nowadays? I know Colin says that’s it’s very hard and expensive to do right, but I’m not buying it. It doesn’t seem that long ago that we got fantastic pixelated games before and all throughout the DS lifespan. Although it’s not the best quality, if an indie game like Chained Echoes can have good looking pixel art, I don’t understand why a big company like Capcom can’t make Mega Man 12 or Street Fighter 6 the right way. Thanks boys. And let’s add Colins shrink wrapped copy of Metal Gear Survive to Sacred Symbols lore. It’s important.

Hey CDC, Me and my fiancée have our wedding in October, and we're currently discussing when is the best time to do the speeches? In my opinion, the speeches should be after the main meal, but my partner prefers the speeches before. Colin, I know you have the big day coming up, so what have you and Micah decided? Big love from England, fellas!

Caleb Greer

Hey y'all, This is primarily a question for Colin, but everyone is welcome to answer. Do you think the Trophy (and Achievement) economies are fundamentally broken, and if so, how would you fix them?

Jason Hjartarson

Greetings CDC, What video game genres are in your video game hell?

Anonymous

Hello Sacred Fuckers, What video game character would you guys say that you identify with most? This would be a character that you feel you can relate to. For example, I’d say I relate to adult link in Ocarina of Time. I am 22 and am finishing up my first year of a real adult job (teaching) and can relate to being thrown into a scary, unknown, and often bleak adult world. Stay well, Cameron

Vonoran

Hello there LSM, Colin, you’re debate with Jaffe was enlightening from beginning to end. I especially enjoyed the idea of subscription services allowing devs to kill bloat and create shorter, tighter games. From a consumer standpoint, can subscription services act as a low bearer replacement for renting video games similar to what consumers had with video stores like blockbuster back in the day? As a kid, I couldn’t afford to buy games day one; however, I could rent a new game for $5 for the weekend. With GamePass, third party drops allow for that try before you buy approach such as with Scarlet Nexus or Outriders.

Hey Sacred dudes What's your biggest gaming turn off? Which genre or mechanic in a game makes it easy for you to give it a pass? For me it has to be rogue likes. I've tried so many in recent years(Dead Cells, Hades, Returnal etc.)and I can't enjoy myself when I have to basically start from scratch after every death. Thanks as always fellas!

Hey CDC, I was on a 4 day cruise this week, and on some down time I was catching up on some content I’ve missed. While this isn’t a “crazy/wild place” Sacred has penetrated, but I was wondering: would you ever do a Last Stand Cruise?

Drew Sleezer

Hey friends, Writing in as a follow up to last week’s SS+ regarding the PlayStation crossover fighter where Chris flippantly requested that he would like a Wipeout vehicle as a fighter. As the resident fighting game historian, I regret to inform you that Sega has beaten you to the punch. In 1996 on the Saturn, Sega released their own crossover fighter, Fighters Megamix, where you could fight as, not kidding, a car from Daytona USA. If you’d like to look it up, it is as ridiculous, cursed, and hilarious as you’d expect it.

Hello Sacred Crew, I know this isn't a Sony topic but since Dustin and Chris my play it, figure I ask anyway. What is the vibe check for Tears of the Kingdom? Recent showings made it look more engaging to me and excited to dive in on Friday. Have a great day and be nice to that chicken.

Anonymous

Hey guys, On an old episode the topic of strange places or situations in which sacred symbols has been played came up. I just wanted to let you know that at least 1 of your listeners out there has been listening to sacred symbols while doing brain surgery on small rodents in the basement of a pharmaceutical company. Cheers

Robert

Howdy, I wanted to follow up on last week's comment made by Dustin in respect to Breath of the Wild being "Revolutionary", Dustin, with all due respect, what the fuck are you talking about describing this game as revolutionary? Nintendo managed to find tremendous success with a Zelda game which has no dungeons and weapons made out of paper, if it wasn't for the branding this game would be another dime a dozen open world action game.

G'day Sacred Legends, I'm wondering how to make this question relate to Sony and the podcast while I type. I want to say thankyou to the team for introducing me to the wonderful world of Chris Chan. I'm up to episode 37 and all i can say is wow. Chris chans story is a fascinating one which highlights the extent human beings will go to for amusement and social credit amongst peers at the demise of another human being, even if said human being doesn't fully comprehend what's happening around them. But he drove head first into, and now is 3 quarters woman. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on this glorious tale to the point t where I think it's deserved of its own episode, hell even its own podcast series since the story is still on going. Have a good day crew. Oh yea playstation topic.... How about that Bloodbourne rumour from old mate Jaffe? Ooroo!

Ember's Arcade

Hey, gentlemen. I wanted to ask about something a bit dreary this week, so bear with me. I've recently sworn off wearing headphones while gaming after an intense flare-up of tinnitus. It's been affecting my focus, my ability to sleep, and my overall mood. I've been treating it via neuroplasticity, which has helped tremendously, as well as some massages that ease the constant ringing. I wanted to know if it affects any of the three of you? If it does, then how have you managed to cope with it? Thanks, guys! All the best.

Do you think it’s important for PlayStation to have their showcase before Xbox has theirs? Does it matter for PlayStation? I’d argue that it doesn’t affect Sony very much at all but that placing it before Xbox only puts more pressure on Microsoft. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Anonymous

Top of the morning, bottom of the afternoon CDC, It's an on-going debate of late, the merits for/against the sustainability of Game Pass, and the differences between Sony and Microsoft's approach to their subscription reward services. PlayStation Stars is a bit half-hearted right now, and I use the PlayStation Extra tier, but I'm surprised that Microsoft Rewards Program is rarely mentioned by any of you guys. This might blow Colin's mind in particular: I haven't actually paid for Game Pass in almost 18 months. I earn enough Microsoft Rewards points (12,000 needed) that I then redeem for 1 month of GP. Monthly auto redeem decreases the points needed to only 10,500 for GP. Oh and btw, this is for Dustin: I picked up Elden Ring on sale a few months back on the Xbox digital store. The game was reduced in rrp for the first time to half-price, AND with outstanding stacked MS Rewards points that I redeemed for Xbox store vouchers, I picked up Elden Ring for £0. Yes, zero bones, clams, Benjamins, etc. Cheers guys, and keep up with the great work! - Kinger PS. This is for Chris. Hot take I know, but Curb is actually better than Seinfeld.

Hey sacred boys, Just wanted to take the time to say thank you for helping me get through my quarter life crisis as I graduate college on Saturday. I’ve been a patron for about a year and it’s gotten me through some tough times. The insight you guys provide on games and the world have really shaped my ideologies in a positive way and will definitely marinate in my brain for a while. P.S: Loved seeing easy allies make an appearance, but let’s get some HUBER HYPE!

Born-Blind

Hey ya'll I'm sure this has been asked before but what are the chances of us getting a couch co-op mode in Habroxia 2? I must admit I haven't spent much time with the game but the idea of having some sort of second player sounds enticing. There are some interesting ways of implementing a second player in these sorts of side scrolling shooters. Often times the secondary player is more of a support character. Some of the games that really nail this are absolutely perfect for training up younger gamers. Thanks for all you guys do! I'm going to go play some Habroxia 2 now!

On the throwing away of grass clippings… don’t you people have a yard debris container? In Oregon, we place our clippings, along with any gardening stuff, into a green garbage can that gets picked up every week.

Hey guys, Long time listener, first time caller. With rumors circulating on twitter of the EU green lighting the ABK deal, would it be a conceivable strategy, if the US follows suit, for Xbox just to remove that library of games from the UK and forge ahead without them on board? Is it even possible for it to go down that way?I know this is a question thats probably more suited for the Dukes, but would like your opinion on it. Thanks guys. By the way, loving the Sacred Sales Saga.

Hi everybody! The talking about reviews last week made me nostalgic for the review systems from some publications of yore, such as GamePro reviews consisting of a couple paragraphs at most and an individual number assigned to different facets of a game (sound, control, graphics, fun factor, chalkenge), and the EGM system of review by committee of 4 (later 3) each giving it their own paragraph and score. I view the broader industryhaving made the move to very lengthy, single person, single number score reviews has been bad for game reviewing. In my opinion if Last Stand for instance was more into systematically reviewing games and a new Mortal Kombat game came out, I'd rather read or hear 300 words and a number score from say Vince and two other Last Stand personalities, including someone who isn't generally a fan of the fighting game genre as sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised by games I generally am not a fan of the genre they would be considered a part of, as well as say a concise 100 words or so on how the game runs than 2000 words from just Vince or just Chris or just whoever alone. If a review is too long (obviously subjective), I'm just not going to bother reading/watching it (though I find hours long deep-dive reviews done a while after release to be really interesting so some hypocrisy there probably). I know Colin has touched on it in the past, but I'm curious for a more in-depth opinion on how you guys would change game reviewing?

Hello everyone. This is a long one (oohhh). I have a question regarding the discussions within the gaming community, such as those that take place in podcasts and forums. Colin has previously expressed his admiration for Inside the NFL, stating that he wishes video games could have similar in-depth conversations. My question is: Do you think the gaming community as a whole is mature enough to handle that level of discussion? Allow me to elaborate. Sports, in particular, tend to evoke intense emotions in people, often leading to anger, yelling, and even tears when their favorite player or team performs poorly. This sometimes results in fans engaging in foolish behavior, such as writing derogatory comments on social media or posting videos with offensive content aimed at teams or players. Sports shows, although not always as crude, can also be highly critical and almost insulting toward players and teams. Where I believe the general discourse falters in the gaming community is when it focuses on the worst examples of behavior and uses them to promote a particular social cause. Two recent examples of this are the controversies surrounding Hogwarts Legacy and the criticism of the voice actress for Ada Wong. I'm not suggesting that mean or abusive behavior should be endorsed, but rather that the audience should acknowledge that some of it is unavoidable and that there will always be individuals who act foolishly. I find it hard to imagine a serious sports show dedicating even a short segment to discussing how people were unkind to LeBron James on Twitter or used racial slurs against him. They simply do what, in my opinion, any emotionally mature person should do and ignore it. Apologies for the lengthy message, but it seems to me that the gaming industry will always struggle to be taken seriously and mature if we cannot move beyond being offended by everything that is potentially offensive. Looking forward to hearing your feedback! In the meantime, don't forget to laugh and grow fat!

Hey boys, How's it hangin'? Greetings from piss soaked Limerick, Ireland. My question today is for the wonderful wet weeb Dustin. After listening to the fantastic Kingdom Hearts retrospective my nostalgia pussy became quite soggy at the thought of returning to the franchise which I fell off many years ago, I own the ps4 collection and was wondering in your expert opinion what way I should approach the games, Should I play every entry including remixes ect. or is there a far more straightforward golden path to trim the fat, any suggestions would be hugely appreciated. Thanks as always guys and p.s. Colin congratulations on a phenomenal SS+ episode with Jaffe, It was entertaining and educational as hell, Well done gents.

Hey guys, what’s your opinion on going to concerts by yourself? I just saw Finch alone on Tuesday and will be seeing Haken alone tomorrow. Is this weird? I only ask cuz a friend of mine convinced me to go see clutch with him next week in Huntington (that’s right I’m from LI) cuz he wouldn’t go alone, even though I don’t really listen to them. And then I was talking to another friend just the other day that told me “I’ll never forget when Sum41 played crazy donkey in Farmingdale and I couldn’t get anyone to go w/ me. Should have just gone alone but I don’t think I had you as an inspiration in my life yet.” In fact, right before the concert I was enjoying a flight at a brewery and told the bartender where I was going and that I was alone and she said “good for you, you never see that nowadays!” What gives? P.S. Dustin if you’re getting distracted by people singing, the bands’ not playing loud enough!

Hey boys, After listening to the Sacred Symbols+ episode about a hypothetical PlayStation All Stars 2, I just had one question. Which character deserves a full new PS5 game: Pepsi Man, Blasto, or Mort the Chicken?

Dion Collier

This question probably only applies to Colin but have you got a solution for following video guides in VR? I am in the process of cleaning up collectibles in Call of the Mountain but it is incredibly annoying taking on and off the headset in between shooting warning beacons. I wonder if you have any solutions.

Daniel Schiffer

Hi CDC. If there was a statute of limitations on game spoilers what would it be? Do remakes like Dead Space reset the clock? Does a partial remake like FF7 reset it for the whole game or only what it covers? Love your work and all you do superstars.

Hey there blumpkin lovers! Very curious as to all 3 of your guys thoughts on whether or not another console competitor could come to market and survive. With all the people that grew up with games and new generations getting born into, is there enough demand that there could be a third thriving ecosystem? And if so, who could you see doing it? I personally could see a few; Apple, Samsung, even someone like Netflix with all the offerings they've been showing on mobile could be viable. Am I crazy thinking another could survive? Do we want this? PS- I'm debating on subscribing to Apple Arcade for that Hades-like TMNT game......

Good day gentlemen. This isn’t a correction but simply a reminder for Colin. He mentioned that he likes using remote play but would welcome a separate device like the one Sony has been making according to leaks. It seems that Colin has forgotten about his PS vita which can also be used in remote play. Alternatively, I use an iPad pro with the dualsense so there are other options already. What do you think a new dedicated streaming device could offer that we don’t already have?

Hey CDC, hope your week has been well! :) I recently finished my playthrough of The Last of Us: Part 1. As much as I have loved that game from the day it came out, it genuinely surprised me to realize that I personally preferred the ways that the characters were explored in different ways in the HBO show. (That's not to say that the first game isn't a classic and still one of my favorites of all time.) Considering the amount of video game movies and TV coming out soon, what game or character would you guys pick to explore further in a similar way the The Last of Us did on HBO? Take care, and thanks to all in front and behind scenes for fostering the best community in gaming. :)

Hose A Contra Razz

Hey Guys, last weeks talk about Phil talking about Starfield being a 11 out of 10 and people still won't buy an Xbox, don't you think he said it because of the FCT lawsuit, this helps their case. All the stories coming out of this quote actually helps Microsoft in acquiring Activision, I think it was planned.

Good day CDC, Greetings from sunny Perth, Australia. I am in the middle of a replay of Uncharted Golden Abyss and am astounded how great the graphics hold up on a 11 year old handheld. The 11 year leap in graphical technology from 2001, to 2012 is drastic with the evolution of HD screens and textures. Show this VITA to a chimp playing PS2 and their socks would be blown. My question to you is where do you expect graphics and fidelity to be in the next 10/11 years? Would they be life like? Still in the uncanny valley? Or have we reached a valley of graphical fidelity and awaiting the next big advancement in technology to reach the peak?

Hey guys - Humanity releases the day this hits free feeds. To celebrate, let's here your best Dad Joke response to the setup "I'm looking forward to trying Humanity."

Good day guys - I have noticed on the last couple of shows that Colin likes to come right into an episode pretty lit off the old bong or vape pen. It got me thinking, what PlayStation news event would it take for all of you to record a reaction podcast either heavily stoned, intoxicated....or both!? Have a great rest of the show boys!

Anonymous

Good day CDC gents. My question is for Colin. Colin, last week you were talking about creating rules for AI and robotics. Can’t we just use Isaac Asimov's "Three Laws of Robotics"? 1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law. Thanks again for your time.

Hey CDC, How of you guys handled the lack of storage on the PS5? Do you just delete/install as needed, do you use an external or have you added internal storage? Also if you have installed internal what SSD did you use and what size? Thanks and remember to be respectful of the chicken……

Quantum Radish

Hey sacred dudes!! It’s been a year and eight months since the last PlayStation showcase, what are your “pie in the sky” predictions for the rumored showcase in May/June? Personally I’d love to see some Knights of the Old Republic Remake gameplay as it was revealed at the last showcase, but I’d love to hear your predictions (be it a Matter reveal for Chris, a Kingdom Hearts 4 deep dive for Dustin, or some Judas gameplay for Colin). I hope you go crazy with the speculation on this one! Love the show and keep up the great work!

NeO JD

Mortal Kombat 12 has officially been teased. Are you guys interested in this at all? Personally, I’ve really liked their story mode since they rebooted it.

Hello! So how is it that “Lady in a Leotard With Gun” is on sale every other week and none of your games do? (It does have some interesting art work)

Anonymous

Hi Sacred Crew, Who are some of your favorite artists in the industry? I recently preordered Yoshitaka Amano’s Final Fantasy art books and I would love to buy more books and art prints from other artists I admire such as Yoji Shinkawa, the artist behind the metal gear series. Also, do you own any art books from any artists you admire or books on specific games they’ve worked on? Have a wonderful day, peace

Daniel Wilson

Hi there sweet summer children, I know this is a PlayStation podcast, but i just have to hear what your take on the future of multi plat games or anything else you may see affected by the possibility of pro consoles. I was a believer in the series s as an entryway into next gen, until i relised that if pro consoles for both Xbox and PS are released, Xbox would be working with 3 machines. There are already games that are delayed due to the series S and some have mentioned that its holding them back. I feel like this will be a hug topic of discussion in the future and judgement day will come for the little guy. Peace and love

Hey Guys, With the recent surprise success of Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection hitting over one million units sold in two weeks. And the unveiling Mega Man's 35th anniversary art. What do you think is next for Mega Man? I'd assume a new game is in the works coming sooner than later but curious your take? Also, any chance Capcom revives the canceled FPS Mega Man X reboot, Maverick Hunter?

The Central Long Islander

What’s good gents, first time long time. I just wanted to chime in on the gamepass convo, and what I believe you’re overlooking Colin. As a father of two, gamepass is awesome and the concept is great. Just imagine us as young kids with this vast amount of games at our disposal at any given time. The only unfortunate part of it, is that Microsoft can’t get its damn ducks in a row to feed the service properly from a first party stand point. Thanks for all that you guys do!

Kyle-San

Yooooo, Those of you who are homeowners, my neighbor that is in closest proximity has decided to adopt an outdoor wild raccoon. When I helpfully posted some statistics about diseases they carry, it was automatically escalated and now our neighborly relationship is basically over. What do you think about this? Cute and cuddly or a disaster in the making?

Hey Sacred Crew, This week I felt delirious as I processed the horrid repetitive "O" sounds in Npixel's "Chrono Odyssey," and it left me wondering: What do you boys think is the worst video game title in recent memory? Interested in hearing your thoughts and thanks for your time.

Anonymous

Howdy gents, I have been with sacred symbols since it’s inception and I must say, I have never been more appalled during an episode as I was during last week’s. How in the every loving hell are you optimistic about Twisted Metal’s production value? I checked to make sure my eyes aren’t broken, and that poster legitimately looks like someone made a fan poster in Microsoft paint for a fantasy casting of Anthony Mackie in Fast and Furious: Return to the Thunderdome. Look, I’m not saying “did I move that with my freaking mind?!” is fantastic dialogue but it was delivered a hell of lot more convincingly than Mackie dancing to “you steal my sunshine”. I have no authority to issue a stand down, but I must strongly encourage you all check-yo-selves. Have a fantastic weekend, Michael

Hey Sacred Crew, Long time listener and first time write in. I felt the need to share this story. My co worker told me today he was thinking about naming his soon to be son Jericho Robert. While I thought in my head that’s a pretty cool name, my immediate response channeled Chris’s Red Dead Voice and straight up responded to “welllll that’s a mighty fine name boy” He laughed and we went on. What made it great is he got it, playing Red Dead himself, whilst my other coworkers did not. Thank you for all your hard work and endless entertainment. It keeps me sane on my daily commute.

Hey Sacred Mates, The May PS Plus Extra lineup has been announced and it's another great month. After listening to Colin and David Jaffe discuss the pros and cons of streaming services on Sacred Symbols + this week it got me thinking - is it possible PlayStation have stumbled upon the superior streaming model over Microsoft? Keeping major 1st party games off the service at launch helps ensure the ever-increasing development costs can be recouped, while also allowing developers the time and resources to release a polished final product when its ready (not just when the streaming service needs to be fed with content). At the same time, PS Plus Extra can ensure a constant stream of subscribers keep the money coming in, with the promise of smaller (and cheaper to make) games at launch, and AAA games coming a bit further down the track. Of course there are improvements to be made (such as the dire Classics offerings), but it may just be the case that Sony have established the best model to springboard from. Keen to hear your thoughts, and keep rooting that chicken (as we Australians would say).

Andy

Hey CDC, A quick PSA. As most of us or at least a good chunk of us dislike the bulkiness of the dual sense controller and hate that we don’t have the option to use a ps4 controller, here is a work around to do so…..Remote play! The remote play app can be installed to your phone and/or tablet, after installing it you will then have to pair it with your ps5 console, the 5G channel is what you will want to pick, and make sure the ps5 and device is on the same 5G network, then you will need to pair your ps4 controller up to your cell or tablet by putting the controller in Bluetooth mode (hold down the ps button on the controller along with the share button). Once that’s all done and you are connected to the ps5 then you are good to use the ps4 controller on ALL ps5 games. You are all welcome, no more hand cramps! Also, no rumble either but hey it’s a sacrifice we can all make. Thanks again and hopefully this PSA gets read on the podcast!

Greetings gentleman, First time writing in here and my reason is simply in support of the Dualsense Edge controller. I know Dustin has been considering getting himself one of these bad boys and I highly recommend it. Just like him and many others, the normal Dualsense would hurt my hands after some time but for me I attributed this to the grips, which ironically have an edge to them at the bottom. But, the Dualsense Edge's grips are rounded(and possibly slightly longer), the Edge also has a nice heft to it thus making it feel so good in the hands. I've been primarily a PC gamer but the Dualsense Edge is making me prefer the PS5 lately. I did splurge earlier this year as I also picked up a Sony Inzone H9 headset along with the Edge and let me tell you, it is the most comfortable headset I have ever worn. The mic quality is a little weak though. Anyways, that's my 2 cents on the Edge controller. Adios, amigos!

Hey guys, do you think Sony will ever acquire a japanese 1st party studio? Or is it all about western games for Sony? Right now Sony has 19 1st party studios (RIP PixelOpus). 10 studios in North America, 7 studios in Europe and only 2 in Japan. One is the Gran Turismo factory Polyphony Digital and the other one is the small Asobi Team for some experimental AA VR/niche games. Japan is well known for creating some of the best and most innovative games. Capcom is doing better than ever. Square-Enix is doing well with Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and some AA RPGs. Nintendo dominates the whole country. Meanwhile Sony keeps buying studios in the US and Europe. There are still studios like Level-5, Camelot and Media Vision out there. From Software is another one if Sony is ready to pay Kadokawa some Bungie-money to get them. Even a publisher like Square-Enix could be a good option, now that they got rid of their western studios. 2 years ago Hermen Hulst said: "Japan and Asia remain extremely important for PlayStation Studios and SIE." But you won't have any success in Japan and Asia if you don't make great games for them. Games that can be successful in the west too. Like Monster Hunter or Final Fantasy. Could Japan be the next target for Sony's PlayStation Studios? Or is it all about Deviation Games and Arrowhead Game Studios?

Howdy boys, Are timed exclusives a win win for everyone? The system that gets them first gets to boast about it, the developers get extra money and to focus on one system. Then a year later focus on other one. I understand one side has to be patient but honestly I feel like it would be worth it in the end. Cheers and keep up the good work.

Hi Guys, Sony just announced that they are adding Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart to PS+ Extra. I have had this game on my wishlist for years, waiting for it to hit my $20 sweet spot (I have a massive backlog), but the game never dropped below $29 on PSN. I’m not complaining that it has been added to the service, but I question the logic here. Why not drop the price lower first to get more sales before finally adding it to the service once you’ve milked it dry? They have done this with multiple titles (Returnal, Demon’s Souls, Forbidden West, etc). All games that I gladly would’ve bought for $20 when the time came. I can’t help but think that they are training me to just wait for it to be “free”. Thanks for the great podcast and please tell Dustin to enjoy a Primantis sandwich for me next time he’s dahntahn.

Hey Boys, My question is primarily for Chris and Dustin. Bungie recently announced a 20% price increase to their season pass. No reason was given for the price hike and you have to spend more silver than its worth in order to buy it. What do you boys make about all this? As always keep up the great work.

Hi CDC, hope you are all doing great. This question is for Colin, but I'd love to hear everyone else's takes. Colin, what is your problem with Final Fantasy 10? You've often spoken about this game as if it's the worst thing since bread stopped coming sliced, but you've never gone into detail about what you dislike. Is it the combat? the story and characters? the more linear design? What is it that makes you so hate one of the best Final Fantasy games? Thanks for the great content and don't forget to summon that chicken.

Anonymous

Hi all, With rumors percolating about a potential upcoming PlayStation showcase, do you have any predictions for new titles that could be announced? I think they will reveal a Resistance game for PSVR2. I don’t have any evidence for this, I just feel it in my plumbs.

Jared

Ciao a tutti! Colin, what is the one thing you miss the most about reviewing games? Thanks for the great content, arrivederci!

Hey CDC, First time writing in. The podcast you done with Jaffe, Colin you briefly spoke about game completion rates and I have my own problem/theory. For an example I absolutely love Witcher 3 and spent 100s of hours but I have never completed it, I have this weird thing that I adore the world and everything about it but feel if I complete this game it's done and it's over so I just don't complete it, I've done this with multiple games the most recent one being hogwarts legacy. I just don't want it to over. I wonder if anyone else feels this way? Do any of you experience this? Thanks for the great content. AJ The Turtle 🐢

Hey guys, Well well well. It seems that A Plague Tale Requiem is able to achieve 60fps on PS5 with enough time and optimization. This is great news, as it removes it from the list of PS5 games that don't currently have a 60fps mode. The other games on the list are: Anno 1800 Gotham Knights Hello Neighbor 2 (currently at 37-48fps) Industria Maquette Matrix Awakens Demo (understandable since it's a visual tech demo and not a full game) The Medium The Quarry Trek to Yomi (currently at 40-55fps, although the PS4 version played on a PS5 is locked at 60fps, but at a much lower resolution) There probably are other games, but these are the ones we have data on. Do you think these games will ever be updated to include a 60fps mode, or will they remain as the performance black sheep of this generation? Let me know your thoughts! Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you all in London later this year - if I can find affordable plane tickets, that is!

Jose Vera

Hola CDC, Question submission: KOTOR Remake has to be mentioned at this next showcase right? It was one of my most anticipated games of the generation and now with the radio silence, I have no faith the game will ever come out. With that being said, do any of you have a list of announced projects that make you cry at night knowing they will never see the light of day? Much love for the team, keep killing it, however if possible shorten up those wild and sometimes funny intro convos. Or just go for broke and make a 6 hour podcast already. Be safe and stay cool during these hot summer nights down in the south. (Spoken in Colin’s possible problematic southern gentlemen) - Jose

Greetings Mr. Vandelay, H.E Pennypecker, and Kel Varnsen I came across what I found to be an astonishingly bad top 100 list of the greatest video games of all time, compiled by so called experts and industry voices through GQ magazine. To the surprise of nobody at this point, Breath of the Wild somehow came in at #1. While thinking over the 100+ list you made with the guys at Kinda Funny Colin, I was thinking a top 100 list by the sacred family could make for a good sacred symbols plus idea. Give it a thought, love the show, and I hope all goes well with that defamation case involving that other chicken. 30 years ago seems just like yesterday doesn't it?

Hey fellas, I know you have been talking a ton of Xbox lately on your Playstation podcasts, but I need your reactions to these post-sex lines from the ESRB rating for Starfield: “Talk about seeing stars, whew… that was amazing." “I’m all for getting a little wild, but next time let’s try it without the jetpacks” "Life is a sexually transmitted disease that’s a hundred percent fatal”

What’s good fellas, I’ve been recently thinking about what my last game ever to play would be if I was to leave this world today. A depressing thought I know but would you be happy with the last game you played being the last game you play? Mine is currently Deathloop so I’m hoping I can get a better game in before I go the way of all flesh. Many thanks for the great shows and hope to see you guys in the UK sometime soon!

Hi gents, any thoughts on the humble mushroom? It doesn’t demand attention, but it pairs perfectly with such disparate things as pizza, eggs, and burgers. Oh also I have a long business flight tomorrow and will be enjoying the Jaffe conversation. Thank you for your work.

Adam Barnes

What’s up boys, Colin, in the past few months you’ve introduced this tongue clicking kind of noise while you’re thinking or procrastinating. Stop it. It’s obnoxious. Love you, thanks.

TRAGICTACTICS

Last week you mentioned PS5 Pro and how more power is always better, but is it? This whole gen so far seems like every game is horribly optimized. If the devs can't optimize properly then they can't even get the extra power out of the console. It seems like 1st party are the only ones who understand the console fully.

Dion Collier

I want you to close your eyes and forget everything you know about your experience with PlayStation. Now, if somebody were to explain to you a story that you could play (without describing gameplay); which first party IP sounds the best on paper? For me, I think Horizon sounds like the best idea but in reality I think it's one of the weakest PlayStation triple A titles.

"Salutations, esteemed gentlemen of Sacred Symbols! While this question is primarily directed at Colin, I'd be delighted to hear the insights of Chris and Dustin as well. Colin, your unwavering confidence in Sony's future has piqued my curiosity. Hence, I pose this query: Why does Sony's games-as-a-service strategy reign supreme over Microsoft's Game Pass subscription? Dare we differentiate the artistry of paying a mere $20 every 2-3 months for a tantalizing new battle pass, where each of Sony's forthcoming titles lavishly unveils seasonal content? How does this approach, which tantalizingly feeds us content in measured doses, prove superior to the purportedly shallow "all-you-can-eat buffet" offered by Game Pass? Keep up the remarkable work, gentlemen! Your podcast traverses oceans and reaches all the way to Ireland, where I eagerly await your wisdom. Cheers, Brian

Hey Colin. As a former IGN journalist (the real meaning of the word, these days - it's rare to come across any actual journalism), what do you make of this quote? Sums up why IGN and similar websites are on the ropes. Total superiority complex on display. Hello chaps. I just wanted to put out there how much I’m enjoying Jedi Survivor right now. I haven’t enjoyed a game like this since I can’t remember when, maybe ff7 remake. It really feels like Star Wars does Uncharted with some cool combat thrown in. I understand it has some technical issues but fortunately for me (as Dustin rightly says) my eyes/brain can’t see enough of what the issues are for it to be bothersome. I know Colin has really fallen out with Star Wars. I have been feeling that way too truth be told, but this game has struck something in me and I really want to know if any of you are going to give it a try. There’s absolutely a great game there for me. Many thanks Antony

Hey Colossal Colin, Christ Reincarnated Chris and 'Skidmarks' Dustin, Boys, can we take a minute to appreciate another #ColinWasRight moment. With the start of this gen, there's been a lot of goodwill towards Microsoft and many, including myself, were rooting for them with the Activision deal. I recall Colin being the only pundit who questioned why anyone would want them to acquire Activision when they can't even manage their own studios. This now seems to a prevailing opinion within the industry following the cluster fuck release of Redfall, as many have realised that Xbox may seem like the nice guys, and talk the talk, yet Sony are the ones who quietly walk the walk. Thank you Colin for your continued pioneering insight. Smooches

Hello CDC, first time writing in. Have any of you ever had stick drift? I have been suffering with stick drift on both my controllers for around 6 months, it started small an has gotten worse. I placed an order for some sticks to solder them myself, I haven't been successful. I then decided to buy the Dualsense Edge for the replaceable sticks. Do you think Sony will fix this problem for good or include replaceable sticks in the base controller for perhaps the next console, thoughts? Keep up the amazing work 👍

Dear Sacred Seers, This is directed at Dustin. I can no longer stand idly by while Dustin continues to butcher the English language on a daily basis. Multiple times during every episode Dustin attempts to say "particularly", but he leaves out some consonants and at least one vowel. What comes out sounds like "particuly" which isn't even a word. Dustin, you can use: especially, exceptionally, notably, principally, specially or a slew of other synonyms; just please stop butchering "particularly". Thank you and good day...I said good day!

Tom SquareEye

Hey Sacred Symbolians, I wanted to ask If you ever set yourself challenges in gaming? I personally am working my way through my goal of platinuming every mainline (single player) Final Fantasy game and am having an absolute blast doing it. was just curious if you ever did anything similar, I get the impression Dustin may do from time to time but I cant recall why. Have a good'n lads.

Kurt Lewin

Hi Sacred Gents. Are there are any bits of game design you think have fallen unfairly by the wayside? Or ways that a strong reaction from players has had an exaggerated impact on the industry? P.S. RE the GQ top 100 list. The person who put that list together at GQ is called Sam White and I believe he is a fan of Colin or certainly was when I was last on Twitter as I seem to remember him RT Colin's tweets and followed him, so I thought he could potentially be a good guest for an SS+ episode to talk about the list.

cryin' sacreds, i guess this one is more for colin, but after the chris chan doc was mentioned a few weeks ago i started watching it as well. since this is very topical for me at the moment, please keep up a "review in progress" as you make your way through :) we want to know all the takes, good or bad. it's also very on brand for the podcast as majority of his early youtube videos were apparently recorded on ps3 with the eye-toy, and then when she got a ps4 using share factory. 😳 so that's all from me, just keep the reviews coming :) -keith

Hey CDC. It was surreal hearing you all talk about the Gran Turismo movie trailer on the show. It is a movie based on a story very close to me - I lived it, I was there. I actually owe my career as a motorsport journalist almost entirely to the character being played by Orlando Bloom (who looks nothing like Bloom in real life I may add!!). He gave me my first break in the industry, at the time that the GT Academy programme was taking off. If you ever need any background info on what the hell is going on in the movie, feel free to drop me a line any time! Though it looks to be a massively exaggerated and dramatised version of Jann Mardenborough's story, I really hope it inspires more people to take a look at the area of motorsport it is centred around and fall in love with it. Thanks for all that you do. Stephen.

Hi there Sacred Crew. Greetings from rainy England. About a month ago, after taking my PS5 to the girlfriends’ house to play Hogwarts Legacy, I discovered that my PS5 was not working. After closer inspection, to my dismay and disappointment, I realised that my HDMI port had broken. After looking online, I soon discovered that this appears to be a common issue with the PS5, with many consumers raising their grievances about the sensitivity of the HDMI port. Sony have given me a quote to repair the port which will cost of £240 (+ VAT), which will definitely hurt the bank balance. Is this an issue that any of you have heard about? As a larger topic, can you all speak on your experiences around the life and health of your previous consoles and if you have experienced any similar catastrophes?

Wesali1996

Hey all I hope you're all well. I've gone from not knowing who Chris Chan is to being on part 27 of the documentary. It's truly a bizarre experience, I go through laughing, cringing, second hand embarrassment, and sadness with every episode. Looking forward to hearing what Colin thinks if he's still been watching. Thanks for all the podcasts I love the content! Wesley

Been listening to you Colin since 2012 and the entire 11 years since I was 14 you have talked about FF6 well I played it and I’m sorry I never did. Hey CDC, With the upcoming arrival of a Playstation handheld streaming device, which games out of the current PS5 lineup do you think will benefit most from being played in this new formfactor and do you think Playstation will look to make adjustments to their upcoming releases to allow games to better serve the new hardware. i.e. certain accessibility options that are catered towards the handheld experience Or will we see the handheld relegated to an indie machine, like the Switch has been for so many?

Hey CDC, Have you guys seen any of the latest integration of AI into video games? Dialogue wheels might become instantly antiquated as we move hastily into a future where talking to NPC might mean having totally unscripted banter with them using your headset. I saw a few examples recently that highlighted the possibilities of AI in the very near future. One game I saw employed ChatGPT into a detective game, where you were given autonomy to ask open ended questions to a variety of witnesses, in order to advance your goal. Could LA Noire have been made too early? What if Mass Effect was totally unscripted? Could the annoyingly repetitve NPC chatter, such as in Hogwarts Legacy, be completely replaced with generative voices? This is just scratching the surface of what transformations video gaming AI might undergo. If you've ever seen the movie 'Her', it kind of reminds me of the video game scene in that. I'm curious to hear your thoughts about the potential of this moving forward and some implementations you would like to see. Thanks for the hours of entertainment. -Daniel P

Hey Sacred Gents, What are the little things about JRPGs that define their genre? What about the aesthetic, menus, sound effects, world design, quest design, etc., speak scream JRPG to you? Sure, there the big defining features like turn-based combat and anime-style characters, but I want to know what finer details y'all think make this genre what it is. Like Vincent Vega said about Europe, "It's the little differences " Thanks, Tony Rigatoni

Hey CDC, I hate to drag the digital vs physical debate up again but there’s one aspect I haven’t heard so far and that’s the rental side of gaming. In the UK, there is still a company that offers this service and, as someone who wants to play all the latest titles, this enables me to play what I want for a fraction of the cost. While I agree that physical gaming is not likely to be sustainable in the longer term, this service, for me, means I can play what I want on a lower income. Taking PS Plus out of the equation, could you see a future where we have the ability to rent the latest titles digitally as a compromise for the winding down of physical game production? Keep up the amazing work and thanks for all that you do.

Hello CDC, God of War Ragnorok gets lots of criticism for its pacing which begs the question, what’s the best pacing you’ve seen in a video game? I’d personally say Death Stranding has some of the best pacing I’ve seen as it constantly introduces new mechanics and plot threads just before you get bored of the last. Also, Neil Blomkamp has history with PlayStation in the movie Chappie where they use the power of 10 PS4s linked together to make a super computer that simulates a human brain. This isn’t a joke. Have fun with this knowledge

Hello Sacred Crew!, greetings from Ecuador. I've been thinking quite a bit about the 10 games as a service in development from PlayStation. What uncommon genres or themes would you like to see PlayStation take on with these games? Speaking from personal preference, I think a MOBA or even a weird take on a sports game would be amazing. The latest Sacred Symbols+ specially got me thinking about this since we ended up with pretty much a full MOBA roster with that ammount of characters. Thank you for the great content.

Hey sacred Cerberus, I’m in a bit of a retro renaissance with buying up older games for NES on through PS3, was just wandering what are some classics that haven’t found their way to current gen digital stores or streaming services that you hold near and dear or recommend. I can’t fathom spending it now but will eventually pick up Rule of Rose, Chrono Trigger and Mega Man Legends 2. Have a great server slam weekend!

Hey CDC, Today I want to jab at the assertion that TLOU Part 1 did not need a sequel while Part 2 demands one. From my point of view, the original game was a borderline cliffhanger, while the last shot of part 2 was quite final. Depressing but final. I don't want to explain too much in the question, but I’m interested in hearing more about how we differ on this.

Alright sacred fellers, with Zelda reviews dropping this morning and clocking a whopping 97 on opencritic is it safe to say that the Zelda franchise is the highest QUALITY franchise of all time? Remember, no cluckin.

Dear LSM community. Im writing in regarding Colin dropping ass on sacred symbols a few weeks ago. While he gets 10's across the board for timing, sound and style, i listened for 2 weeks and no one brought up the fact that not long after the bomb, Colin had to leave because his dog was barking. Theres not a snowballs chance in hell i am falling for that one. The dog was barking because he smelt poo. Colin, you let one through the goalie. Im a guy who has shit in his pants many times in the name of comedic farts. We know our own. Theres no way you made it out without at least a dusting in your undies. Dont be ashamed. There are many of us and we are to be feared. That is all. -Mike

Do you think the Agile movement in software development is responsible for unfinished and buggy games? The whole premise of agile is " iterative development" which by definition means it won't be done when it's first released. This process can work with software like a web app, but not for most games.

Jack Fining

Interesting topic. I would argue that the drawback of agile development in a software business like video games is that "iterative development" allows flexibility for a development team to work and adjust over time, while the business sides enforce deadlines and spend money and media attention to counteract the flexibility the developers need. I wouldn't associate agile development with say the roadmap for a live-service game or the premise that the end product shouldn't be complete, I think it's a mismatch of what developers need vs. what shareholders are willing to give. I love when stuff is shadow dropped or announced a couple months removed from a projected release date because there were little to no outside pressures forcing an unfinished product to come out "on time".

Good day Colin, Chris and the other one, In response to the listener asking for video game music recommendations for a Australian walkabout (I think that’s what it’s called, idk I’m not European) I have a suggestion: country tracks from Civilization. The composers of Civ 6 created unique music tracks for each nation in game. Not only that, the tracks get more and more complex (more instruments, more sophisticated composition) as you progress through the eras. Really gives a sense of progress as you listen. Of course, special shout-out to the Ancient era American theme. Really makes you feel the exaggerated swagger of manifesting your destiny.

Good Day Fellas. Regarding the rumored Q-lite, if it’s real, I’m in day one much like Colin. I do have a Backbone which in general has been great, but I continue to be surprised that no one ever mentions one specific setback of that particular device: it is 100% incompatible with your phone if it has a case on it. The extra steps of removing the case, then replacing the case when you are done with the backbone is onerous and, by itself, worth having a dedicated device in its place. Are you guys so cavalier with your phones that you don’t have cases on them, or do you just not find the process of undressing and redressing your phone with each use that inconvenient?

Hey Sacred Crew, I had never payed any attention to trophies before listening to the show, but after hearing all of this trophy talk from Colin, I decided to take a crack at earning my first real platinum trophy. I had already earned one platinum, Job simulator, but didn't cosider it an accomplishment because of how little effort it required. I am happy to report that I have successfully platinumed Resident Evil 4 after about 50 hours and 7 playthroughs. I am interested in pursuing more, but I'm worried that focusing on trophies will distract me from just relaxing and playing the game. My question to you is: what's the best way to go about obtaining more trophies while still playing the game in a natural way? Side note: do I get a promotion in the gamer battalion for my accomplishments? Thanks

Hello Colin and crew, If I were to study video games, how would I do so? What are the books to read and the games to take note of?

Dear Sacred Crew, I wanted to ask your thoughts on the new Legend of Zelda game, Tears of the Kingdom, and its performance on the Nintendo Switch. Despite being an older console, from what I've gathered from the internet, the game's performance seems to be great. Do you think this is a testament to the quality of the game's development? I also wanted to get your opinion on why Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, seems to struggle with getting his teams to produce games of similar quality to Nintendo. Do you think it's a matter of company culture, resources, or talent? And do you think that Microsoft and Xbox can learn from Nintendo's success in the gaming industry? Also, on an unrelated note, have any of you ever had the urge to fuck a chicken? Thank you for your time. Sincerely, ChatGPT

Hey CDC, Colin’s been talking about how Nintendo is becoming a multimedia company rather than a games company lately. Don’t you think Sony is getting close to that descriptor too? The only thing they’re really missing in comparison to Nintendo is the theme park. Thanks for your time!

Hello again Symbolic ones, I recently picked up Star Wars: Jedi Battle Scars on audiobook; it is a short novel that tells an intermediate story between Fallen Order and Survivor. I’m curious to see how the events are discussed in the game, but it was an interesting way to explain some of the changes to the characters and character arcs that are hinted at in the trailers for Survivor. Have you read any videogame novel adaptations or side stories? What game side stories would you like to see told in novel form? I would be interested in a novel about Ted Faro’s actions prior to Horizon Zero Dawn, or a novel to fill in the story gap between the prologue and main story of The Last of Us. Thank you as always for the hours of entertainment, and please perpetuate the powerful poultry penetration. PS. In the Playstation All Stars 2 discussion, you guys all forgot Lara Croft as a Playstation Icon.

Hello CDC, is PlayStation playing chess with the Activision/Blizzard fiasco? While Xbox is tied up with trying to get this deal through, what stops PlayStation from shopping around freely and setting up partnerships with developers? Perception is reality at times. Xbox looks like a very disorganized company, possibly scaring developers from wanting to even consider being under the Xbox umbrella. Seems like a win to me for PlayStation. Thoughts?

Gents, A lot of talk about negativity in the games community - and I'm not saying it's unfounded - but bright spots remain. Surprisingly, the sub reddit community based on my favorite game "Outer Wilds" is incredibly welcoming and chill. I've even posted trophy achievements and things to positive replies and fun feedback. It really goes to show you that the media and people outside of the atmosphere really drive a lot of that ugly shit. Stay frosty and press X to "JASON!!"

Hello chaps Does Sacred Symbols have (another) blind spot? You discussed WRPGs on the last episode and no one mentioned the upcoming Baldur’s Gate III; one of the best known franchises, shepherded by a Studio with a proven track record, and which has been in early access for a while -presumably being polished into a rare gem- and pertinent to your show: coming out on day 1 on Ps5 and not on Xbox. As far as I understand it no exclusivity deals are involved, and it’s exclusively down to the fact the ps5 can run the game split screen for couch Co-op whereas the Xbox machine cannot. Despite having fewer teraflops, was it simply a smart move by Sony to construct a nimbler machine, or did they just get lucky?

PapaFlow

Hello CDC, Do we ever think Playstation will level up their storefront game to something like steam. It made sense to me in 2013 to see a lack of functionality but here we are 10 years later with no reliable review system, a real algorithm to show me what I might enjoy, a customizable wishlist, the ability to gift games to friends, a thriving early access system that is bound by the review system etc, etc. All things that have existed on steam for quite some time. If the rumors are true Sony didn't even add their current wishlist system until right before launch of the ps5 due to the negative press that they didn't have one. Everything about their storefront seems like an afterthought and so inadequate. Why is this? Ignorance? Design philosophy? Do they not like making money? Cheers

Otrant

I really think Chris would like Chrono Trigger. HowLongToBeat says it's only 23 hours for the main objectives, 43 for a completionist run. It has no random encounters. If you don't want to fight an enemy you can usually avoid them. It has artwork by Akira Toriyama and the game embodies the same whimsically adventurous spirit as Dragon Ball, only more thematically mature. It's made by the creators of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, utilizing their combined talents to create something awe inspiring. The combat is fast and the music is God-tier.

Hey CDC, My opinion is Playstation games push the limits and are so well produced because they are solely designed around 1 architecture. I understand the business model on porting to PC but my fear is instead of porting after the release, they will start to factor it in during production and negatively impact the potential of their games (even if just marginally) What are your thoughts?

Hey Sacred Crew! You guys joked about a Spider-Man game set in Tokyo. Well that could actually be a possibility if handled correctly. In a Spider-Man comic book arc a few years ago Peter Parker owns an international business and had to go to Tokyo. He ends up getting caught in chaos that calls for him to save the day. AInsomniac could easily write that in to keep the series fresh after a trilogy. How many sequels do you guys see Sony and insomniac dishing out in the future? Hopefully not to a degree to where Sony has their own version of the MCU (MPSU). Thanks for all you guys do and stay safe out there!

Anton Kaye

Hey Sacred Studs, Just got done listening to Jaffe and Colin's Plus episode on Gamepass, and I have to say, I left understanding David's PoV pretty well. A subscription model might actually be great, Microsoft just sucks at it. PS Plus extra is killing GP, in my opinion. Any thoughts? Love you guys!

Dear Sacred Butts. I always see people wearing shirts adorned with branding from popular bands such as Rolling Stones, Nirvana and AC/DC (never 311, sorry Colin!). Apart from the excellent LSM merch what games related branding or logos do you consider iconic or could be recognizable out in the wild on such paraphernalia or what do you think would be quite tasteful? Keep that chicken moist
