Hey CDC, Last week during your discussion of the new PS5 update, you mentioned the parody between digital and physical versions of games, specifically if you purchase or claim a digital version of a game that you have installed physically, you will no longer have to download the digital version separately. However, I also discovered that if someone has signed into your PS5 on their account, then you can launch any game you share digitally regardless of what version you have. For instance, I buy all my games physically and my friend buys all his digitally. Since he has signed into my PS5 before, I can now launch any game we share without my disc (which is basically every game I own). This is an absolute win for us physical copy Chads.

Yo, It’s 2028 and the PS5 generation is over. Which PlayStation studio created the most important new IP for PlayStation? Is it a live service game? Chris, this may be a good opportunity to manifest something dope. Much love

Hey guys, Last week’s coffee talk at the beginning of the show made me want to admit something. Forgive me Coffee Father Dustin, for I have sinned. I started drinking coffee about 5 years ago, and outside of the usual Dunkin’ or Starbucks order, almost every morning I have been consuming Maxwell House instant coffee. I know it’s garbage, but it’s what everyone in my family drinks and it’s what I am familiar with. How can I make up for the error of my ways? Hope all is well and keep up the great work.

Hey guys, With the rumors circulating around the ps5 pro and now the ps6 coming out, I can’t help but to not even be excited. Ps5 has been out for a few years and it doesn’t even feel like anything has been truly “next gen”. Aside from returnal, demon souls, and ratchet and clank, I can’t think of any other games I’ve played that were exclusive to PS5. Yes, games that are cross gen run, load, and look better. But is it even necessary for these beefed up systems when the one that is currently out isn’t being used to its full potential? Thanks for all you guys do.

Hey sacred sex symbols, Quick question, can I get a top 3 list of you're favorite characters from video games? It doesn't have to be in any specific order. I'd just like to know who you all connected with the most.

Hey CDC, A few months back Dustin mentioned the idea of a Bioshock remake. This idea was met with much apprehension from Colin. But, has the quality and critical acclaim of the Dead Space remake change your thinking at all? For context, Bioshock is my favorite game of all time. And while I don't think it NEEDS a remake, I wouldn't mind seeing Arcadia or Fort Frolic in an updated engine.

Mitch Orobko

Hey CDC!!! Quick question for the 3 of you. Now that its over, if you could choose one moment from TLOU part 1 game to be in the show what would've it been and WHY!? Love you guys, from Edmonton, Alberta.

Hi guys Just a question for Colin, how should you cook your eggs for a bacon, egg & cheese? And is it that fake American cheese or real cheese? Thanks from an English listener who doesn’t buy their sandwiches from random shops on street corners.

Greetings gentlemen, My best memories of gaming were the pure excitement of discovering something new. Anywhere from picking up my new PS3 and playing hundreds of hours of Warhawk and resistance, to getting my PS2 for Christmas and playing games like Area51 or Black. Over the last several years I'm lacking the excitement of that "something new" feeling. Seeing game trailers of awesome new ideas and playing hours upon hours of new IP shooters and massive multiplayer franchises has completely vanished for me. I personally feel like there's nothing new and fresh anymore that grabs my attention. Growing up with companies such as Sony and Microsoft announcing games for their consoles such as Gears of War, Halo, Resistance, Killzone, Warhawk, yes some better than others, but when they first arrived on our consoles they were so new, fresh and exciting. My question to you guys is, do you also feel a lack of excitement for new games? And have you found yourself, like me, being unphased by new IP for being so copycat and basic? I always write my questions or comments too long but I struggle to get my point across in so little words, sorry Colin. Thanks for all you do. Ben White.

Hey sacred crew. I've heard it mentioned on the show and seen it on a few social reels... what's the deal with Americans getting fast food then eating it in their car while parked in some random parking lot? Is there something going on inside Amercian restaurants that's driving patrons out? Let the rest of the world know about this strange new phenomenon.

Hello Men of Ill Repute, First time/long time here, formerly a filthy freeloader, but recently signed up at the five dollar tier. Sorry to make my first question a bit of a downer, but I would like your perspective on this, as I find that my taste in games and media generally aligns pretty well with the average of all of yours. I’m going through a divorce right now after six years of marriage. It’s amicable, no kids involved, and without going into all the details it’s probably about as smooth as the process could possibly be. That being said, this is definitely a new chapter in my life to say the least, and I’m already trying to find the best parts of my hobbies and interests, including gaming, to get me through this. Do any of you have any recommendations for games or media (or just life experience/advice) on the subject of starting a new chapter in life? It doesn’t have to be about with divorce/marriage specifically, I’m just looking for something to help me not be as down on myself and see the silver lining in this situation. Thanks and be well.

Hey guys, just curious if any of you saw that Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently priced at $79.99 on PSN? Just the standard edition. Just curious you all’s take. Thanks.

Hey guys,, Have you guys ever thought about a gamegive away? I remember that Colin at one time wanted to giveaway Hogwart's Legacy to a fan but changed his mind because he really didn't want to be that guy. Completely understandable. But what about a give away in general? Maybe something that you've evangelized on your show? A game like Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark from Colin, Dark Souls from Dustin or Destiny 2 content from Chris? Thanks guys keep up the good chicken (that's a joke BTW)!

The rogue

Good day. I just finished the last of us show. And my take is simple the show is better than the game. Do you agree? To elaborate a bit when I first played the game I thought it should be a movie, every thing that made the game brilliant works better on film and the game play was just added on. This is also why I think the adaptation had a better chance of success than something like halo which was really brilliant at the time for it's gameplay. Love the show... Yours too

PS VR 2 question. If Playstation wants this thing to be a success why the hell is only available for purchase through Sony directly. Why is it not available through Best Buy, Amazon, GameStop etcetera? This drives me insane as I have a good deal of gift cards to Best Buy and would like to purchase it there. I was able to purchase the original PS VR at Best Buy day one.

Dustin! With all your talk about One Piece lately, the people have to know. Luffy, Goku, and Saitama. Who's winning?

Hey lads, Does Neil Druckmann's involvement with The Last of Us television show mean he will step away from writing and directing games at Naughty Dog? If so, that is a damn shame. The game industry needs Druckmann more than the film and television industry. Thanks, Liam

Will_Gear

Hey guys, In an age where everyone feels the need to interrupt each other while speaking, to the extent that most have now normalized this horrendous way of communicating, I cannot express how much I appreciate the fact that you do not condone this method of communication on the show. You let each other speak, and you listen to each other. This makes all of LSMs shows actually listenable and immensely enjoyable and engaging. You’re setting a great example on how to properly podcast and communicate. Keep up the great work. Love you guys.

Levelupbrady

Hey guys, Have you ever played a game that runs horribly, but you can't stop playing because the gameplay is so good? For me the game Wild Hearts. I've been trying to get into Monster Hunter for years, but it just never clicked for me. Wild Hearts gameplay is so much run, but the game runs like shit. There is no reason I should still be playing it but yet I can't stop. Would love to hear from the crew, if there are any games like this you've played. Keep up the great work

Hello good sirs, Recently I noticed that more Sony first party games are on PlayStation plus for free trials. God is war Ragnarok, The Last of Us part 1,Uncharted collection. Are gonna see more first party games get trails going forward? Keep up the great work

So guys, I recently found out that my wife pronounces "bagel" as "bag-ol." Should I file or divorce now or just issue myself a Stand Down for even caring after not noticing for eight years?

What’s up, men? I’ve been listening to this trifecta, formerly known as a duo, for years now and I’ve decided to use my “First time, long time,” comment on something barely even worth mentioning. Much like someone losing their virginity to a mediocre hooker. This is concerning the most recent PS5 update that allowed a person to play the digital version of a physically installed game. As someone who loves a good sale on physical games, I picked up Deathloop on the cheap and didn’t play it immediately, but I did install it. Sometime later it was added as a PlayStation Plus game, and even though this was the case, I still had to insert the disc when I got around to playing it. I checked after the update and I am now able to start the game without the disc. I can now more successfully straddle the fence that separates physical and digital games.

Colin, something you said a couple episodes back touched me deep inside (OH!) My grandfather always kept a spare container of gasoline in the garage, where grass clippings were often beneath it as that had been where the lawnmowers were placed. I'll never forget that smell, I fucking love it, and your discussion on smells you loved as a kid was on point. Throw that together with the industrial strength, king sized sharpie markers and I tell you what little 8 old year me was set for the day. My comment this week is a simple request, don't let up on the rambling segments that open each episode. Keep up the show as is and the discussion of all things that connect me back to my youth.

Hi Sacred Symbol Team, With slower new cycles such as now, do you find it harder or easier to discuss topics that are against the typical mundane stuff that so many other podcasts fall for? Just like when ESPN and other sport sites seem to just repeat themselves in the echo chamber until real news arrive. I find time and time again this podcast tends to at least present different topics or even sometimes better news reports than others. One topic that could be fun is gaming bro wars, while both sides do have their nuts die hards, I find time and time xbox bros just go a step too far. It does seem they try to at any point break any exclusive down to trash or happy when sales go down. As a owner of all 3 consoles (yes, even the stinky switch, OLED baby) it makes me eye roll to no end. When will we ever see an end to bro wars? Thanks for all you do, keep killing it.

Hey CDC, I wanted to write in regarding a couple of topics regularly covered in the show. First off, PlayStation Plus Premium. I’m someone who plays games on and off and have missed quite a few games from the last decade plus. The middle tier of Playstation plus is an amazing value for players like me. There are so many great games that I just haven’t had the time to play, and am now making my way through them. This is one of my favorite things Playstation has done. It’s a great middle ground to Game-pass. It has a lot of great games that are still newer, but not day one. Secondly (on phone can’t format this how I want), remakes (e.g. Deadspace, Demons Souls, Last of Us Part One). I absolutely love these newer remakes. They are getting me into series I’m not sure I would have started if not for a fresh take on them. I want as many remakes as developers are willing to do. I would kill for remakes of the earlier Uncharted Games, Bloodborne and whatever else they want to do.

Hey CDC I wanted to say Chris was awesome on ILP and no I wasn’t Derrick undercover just curious if anybody reckons they could beat a gorilla on steroids. My question for all of you is what is the most unluckiest name to have? With all these Timmy’s dying I think had to be the unluckiest name. Also if Colin and king could ever do a comedy debate. Colin being the PlayStation guy and King the Xbox guy which would be a must watch for me. I think it will show people to not take console wars so seriously. Keep enjoying life as much as you guys can.

Jayce Tamulevich

Hey Gang, There has been a lot of talk about attention, focus, and technology lately on Constellation and I just recently realized how badly it is affecting me as well. Multiple times during a session of Legend of Dragoon, I got FaceBook or Instagram notifications, got distracted, and had to use the rewind feature to go back and reread whole cutscenes. Notifications are now turned off for all social media apps. Are there things you guys are doing to help refocus your mind?

Hey Sacred Crew As a thought exercise: what genre of game could you see fading out of existence in the next decade? Or, what genre would you like to see fade into the ether to leave behind only legacy games? Thanks for all you do to make my daily drive to work entertaining.

If the best part of waking up is Folgers in my cup, I don’t think I want to wake up anymore.

Robbie Cooper

Hey Guys, Just wanted to say you made me laugh so hard when I heard Scooby Doo beating Gandolf to death that I ended up pooping myself a little. Just glad I was at home and it was only the turtle sticking it’s head out a little. I’ll be ok but now I have to be careful where I listen to the show in fear of it happening again. Thanks!!

Greetings SS, Colin often asks “what does it mean to be an Xbox gamer“ as one I thought I would provide answers. As boring as it sounds, I think the big thing Xbox does better than anyone else is ease of access. This doesnt mean just the benefits of having the Game Pass library but also how you access those games. Obviously there is the PC angle that allows Xbox to share their exclusives and the lower price point of the Series S but also their cloud streaming is fast becoming the dominant service. As someone that has used it consistently I can say it has come along leaps and bounds in the past year alone, I can see it becoming the main platform for Xbox in the future. If people dont have a Gaming PC or Xbox and want to play Starfield when it releases, you can sign up for GamePass and stream it. This is something no one else is offering. Keep up the great work, Gabe

Hello Last Stand Nation. I have to weigh in on the regional names of mcdonalds. Here in southern ontario canada we often call mcdonalds "rotten ronnies" no explanation needed. That is all. As you were. -Mike

Hey Power Bottom Boys, I expected objectively wrong coffee takes from the coastal elitists but you, Dustin; a Yinzer, I am disappointed in. Your steel mill working forefathers roll in their shallow, unmarked graves every time you butt chug a soy caramel macchiato made by a barista with a MA in Gender Studies. Is this slander of Folgers LSM's first shot in the culture war against the working class? What blasphemy must we be subjected to next? Bush Light isn't a great beer? Ranch doesn't go on everything? Casey's Breakfast Pizza isn't the trailer park's gift to society? This isn't a "stand down" but a "check yo self."

Eric Cibak

Hey CDC, shout out to Dustin… I wanted to make you aware that I am quite taken with the name “Sneaky Ron’s” and recently made the executive decision to adopt this for my household! I have told my three children that they are to be promptly grounded if they utter the word McDonalds around me (kidding of course… mostly..)… they have gladly take this up and will promptly call each other out if they slip up! Just want to let you know that your new moniker is gaining traction… just not sure how I feel about Chippers… thank you gents for all that you do!!!

Hey Colin, How did you celebrate the holy 311 day? What is your favorite album and song? I gotta go with Evolver due to the nostalgia around when I bought it, and I love stealing happy hours. Remember, the fish who keeps on swimming is the first to chill upstream. Take it easy!

Tyler Lederer

Hello CDC and hope all is well,

Joban

Hey Sacred Sluts, What would you consider the bane of the video game industry today? I'm guessing Colin would say subscription services like GamePass and it seems like people may be souring on battle pass systems, but I'm curious to know what you all think is bad news bears. Personally, I think games-as-a-service is the lowest common denominator of gaming and needs to stop. The obsession with getting gamers to play your game forever is leading to addictive gameplay mechanics trumping QUALITY gameplay mechanics. Just my personal opinion, but I'd love your thoughts. Thanks and keep romancing that barnyard bird, Josh
