A few weeks ago, we launched The Sacred League here on Sacred Symbols+, but in reality, it's only half of a larger initiative I (Colin) have. You see, my intent is simple: To create repeatable, trackable content over months and years (in the spirit of some of the sports podcasts I listen to), so that we can follow trends, make fun bets, and compete with each other and the audience alike. To that end, I developed The Sacred Sales Saga. What is it? Well, this + subseries will come out each month, and will track the PSN sales charts as shared on the official, Sony-run PlayStation Blog. This data comes in the form of tables that I've folded down into more readable, interesting tables, tracking overall placement, trends, and more. The game, therefore, revolves around harnessing all of this minute information into something definitive. Each month, we'll craft our own Top 20 PlayStation 5 games downloaded lists, and then score it all the following month based on the real thing. At that point, we'll introduce our next predictions, and so on and so forth. Trust me when I say there's a lot of fun to be had here, and I hope you'll join us for this ride, one that -- like The Sacred League -- will never go to free feeds, and is exclusive to Last Stand's Patreon.

Glad people in the comments are digging this, but I unfortunately have zero interest in a guessing game of the PSN charts each month. Would’ve much preferred a deep dive on game discussion similar to spoilercasts but for older titles. Industry interviews, cross duke episodes, mailbag are to me, so much more interesting. The game as it were, sounds fun for the community especially seeing it on paper/visualized but it really doesnt work in podcast form for me. Keeping track of peoples lists in audio form is tiresome and repetitive. Would be interested in seeing a poll on whether the larger audience enjoy these or not.

Not a bad idea. Hopefully get the listeners involved sooner rather than later.

So whenever comes the month where TLOU Part 1 falls off the list… are we going to say the game…. Uncharted?

As someone who hasn't cared about sports in years and doesn't care to much about sales numbers I gotta say this is a great idea. I can't wait to see how you do the fan interaction side of this and seems like a fun idea to see how our favorite games are doing on playstation and see how bad the fans are at predictions

Really enjoy this idea. As a long time fantasy sports coach, I’m super excited for this! Keep up the great content, CDC!

My only suggestion is to shorten the season. I think it’s likely to get stale by June. I think it would be more exciting if you did first to win three months. Otherwise there is a strong possibility that someone takes a large lead and then people aren’t inclined to listen

Tonys_Always_Write

This is actually a great idea, because if there was an off-season it would also give people time to miss it.

Just want to say exceptional job anticipating unspoken needs with this contest. I appreciate your opinions, but I also want to hear the reality. Keep balancing fact with opinion and talking about it.

I’m happy for everyone that is excited for this, and I’m sure it’ll be a lot of fun for a lot of people. This just doesn’t sound interesting to listen to or watch, in my opinion. Just posting to represent a variety of feedback in the Patreon. Respect, cheers, and enjoy!

I'll keep an open mind on this one, but it already feels like it's going to be a bit too dry and stats based compared to other content to keep me entertained. Still, it's only one ep a month. As long as you don't start dedicating an episode a week to HBOs last of us like you've threatened, lol.

Very much looking forward to this

Could there be tabs on the document with each of the lads' list for the month? This way, listeners won't have to write down or keep track of what each of the hosts says and they can visually compare how things line up.

I'm loving this new show. I love hearing the sales numbers/top 20 each month. Glad it's back and in a new fun way.
