This past weekend, something unreal happened: A nefarious digital actor scraped and released a ton of material -- stolen directly from developer Rockstar -- showing an in-development Grand Theft Auto VI. Obviously, this is a very big deal. Indeed, this is one of the largest breaches a games company has ever experienced in the history of our industry, and it's one that has wide-ranging consequences for a host of different parties. In this impromptu episode of +, we sat down to discuss what happened, comb through many of your inquiries, and figure out where Rockstar and Take Two go from here. One thing's for certain, though: You definitely don't want to be that hacker right now.

I thought some people were overdramatic, people were offering condolences like the entire staff got laid off. If I was Rockstar I’d find a way to work this leak into the reveal, they are kings when it comes to satire.

Colin, thank you for calling out the victim blaming. My apartment got burgled way back in the day, had all forms of ID stolen, checks, money, PS4, all game, etc. I accidentally forgot to lock my apartment one day when I left to work. Both the police woman and building manager's first words were like, "well you should have locked your door." Firstly, no shit. Secondly, NO the criminal shouldn't have robbed me. Such a weird mentality we have toward theft. Lol, sorry for the rant. Your statements just hit home.

I don't think it's too unreasonable for people to expect something that looks like the last of us but open world. The last of us is on last gen hardware and we expect this to be current gen/PC only. Think of any linear PS3 game and Max Payne 3, Last of Us 1, etc I'd say Red Dead looks better than any of them. That being said, the game looks good so far.

Thanks for not spoiling anything on ME3 in your video review. I remember watching that one.

Sacred Symbols acknowledging the booty. What a glorious day. 😄 Side note: damn Col, it must suck knowing the plot of a new BioShock before playing it.

Red Dead is impressive, but the 'production per square inch' on TLoU2 is far higher, and it wouldn't be doable in an open world.

Great episode, thanks for getting it up so quick. If it really is 2019 work, perhaps Slack was used in Rockstar as a temp solution as the pandemic hit before moving to something more bespoke.

Everyone loves a fat ass. Thanks for the discussion guys, I enjoyed it!

Its 2 year old footage of a game with another 3 years in the oven, and it already looks better than saints row lmao

I really appreciate what you said about wanting to have an adversarial relationship with developers/PR types. During my time as a full time sports reporter I'd always take pride in upsetting coaches/SIDs lol

You guys are right, representation in media is not only positive for minorities, but it widens potential audience and is more artistically interesting. Give us more thicc latinas
