Keeping Our Hopes Down | Sacred Symbols+ Episode 193

PlayStation announced a fresh State of Play -- its first in more than two months -- and it's apparently going to be focused on third-party games of nebulous size and stature, as well as some titles coming to PlayStation VR2. However, if previous State of Plays have taught us anything, it's best to keep our expectations very much in-check. PlayStation is transparent enough that we shouldn't expect first and second party fare (though who knows?!), and while there could be some third-party bangers, it's hard to guess what they might be. Final Fantasy XVI? Final Fantasy VII Remake: Part II? Final Fantasy IX Remake?! Probably wishful thinking. How about BioShock, or even Resident Evil 4 Remake? Let's not get too carried away. Or shall we...?

It's quick videos like this that made it easy for me to go from 5 to 10 dollars a month. Thanks for the dedication.

Before I watch this video, no matter what anyone says I can't keep my expectations. Like it's a sickness something

In further support of Dustin, PlayStation is indeed a confirmed partner for the SummerGameFest - they don't appear to have the animosity towards Geoff that they held for the ESA. Hope to see GoW or something exciting from them come June 9!

As long as Final Fantasy XVI is there, I'll be happy. I'm keeping my expectations very low, but there's something in my gut telling me that it will be there.

My crack pipe wish is for them to do a release date reveal trailer for Ragnarok at Summer Games Fest Live and then follow that up with a dedicated GOW State of Play later in June (for a Fall release, ideally September).

100% Agree, Capcom will be prevalent in this State of Play.

Colin, I don’t like this idea that Sony should sit back and not blow their load with content. Keep pounding the space with more and more games, because you know damn well PlayStation has banger after banger these upcoming years.
