PlayStation announced a fresh State of Play -- its first in more than two months -- and it's apparently going to be focused on third-party games of nebulous size and stature, as well as some titles coming to PlayStation VR2. However, if previous State of Plays have taught us anything, it's best to keep our expectations very much in-check. PlayStation is transparent enough that we shouldn't expect first and second party fare (though who knows?!), and while there could be some third-party bangers, it's hard to guess what they might be. Final Fantasy XVI? Final Fantasy VII Remake: Part II? Final Fantasy IX Remake?! Probably wishful thinking. How about BioShock, or even Resident Evil 4 Remake? Let's not get too carried away. Or shall we...?

Taking a screenshot of your ticket instead of praying your internet doesn't shit the bed. Life changing advice from Chris right there.

I find it weird when people get more excited about these things than when games are actually released. I am hoping they at least announce something that we can look forward to the second half of the year.

Y’all gotta stop the forspoken slander that game looks fucking awesome. I really don’t understand why people hate it so much the gameplay looks very good!

This thing is going to be 30 minutes. Some capcom and psvr2. Nothing from Sony first party.

We need a Forspoken spoilercast as soon as possible after launch so we can get more of Chris doing that amazing impression of Frey (The protagonist that I just had to Google the name of).

I don’t have high hopes but it seems dangerous to have a show this close to Xbox which it will definitely be compared to even if they are different and it not be at least good if not great.

Re: Alyx, the one thing that I’m sure Valve would love if Sony offered it to them, is PSVR driver support for PC/Linux. How open to this do you think Sony could be?

As far us ever having a third-party meteoric State of Play, Final Fantasy VII Remake was rerevealed after going dark when taken from CyberConnect2 and moved in house at a State of Play 👍

You can always just fight the tornado and get equipped with Air Shooter.
