One thing's for certain: Gran Turismo 7 will be one of PS4's and PS5's most-important exclusive releases of 2022. For PlayStation 5 in particular, GT7 may become one of its most important games, full-stop. After all, this is a 25-year-old franchise that sells many millions of copies with each iteration, and that's why we think it's vital to give it more breathing room on Sacred Symbols+. To help us explore Gran Turismo 7's many possibilities, the staying power of Gran Turismo Sport, the expensive world of racing peripherals, and the crowded field of quality GT competitors, I (Colin!) have invited talented Gran Turismo YouTuber Z28Gaming to the show. Put on your seatbelts, kids. We have digital racing simulations to discuss.

So delighted to see the GT content!

One of the things I always liked about GT as someone who mainly plays Forza is that GT has better car details, like they just look better. Forza has this problem of updating car models late or not at all, that’s why some cars would only open the doors and not the hood or trunk, that’s because it’s a old model that’s not updated, GT just has that attention to detail.

I've never been into racing games at all, but Forza made me into a fan of that franchise. I've never played a GT game, I wonder if it could hook me like Forza.

James McGivern

Man, even when it's not something I'm super into, hearing someone talk so passionately and intelligently about a subject they love is almost always engaging.

Tick Dickler

This is awesome! I don’t care about racing, but now I kinda get it. More than that, I’m of the belief that the gaming industry needs more conversations highlighting specific subgroups and their passions. We’re all getting to Balkanized. Gaming should be unrestricted fun, where no gates are kept. Sounds sappy, but I think stuff like this helps the community.

Another great show, really enjoy these occasional racing episodes. Keep them coming. I'm a big F1 fan and my go to racing game is the excellent F1 2021 right now, but in terms of other sims Gran Turismo has been a favourite of mine. I don't have a PlayStation right now but when I eventually get one, GT7 will be one of my first purchases.

Great conversation. I’ve been a racing fan ever since Mario Kart 64 and the early days of MX VS ATV. I’m glad you guys will be able to experience GranTurismo will the fancy new triggers the PS5 has. Advice for the Sacred Symbols crew to help get up to speed a bit with the game, DO THE LICENSE TESTS!! They break down little nuances of getting good. I think you’ll get swept up into the world of sim racing. It’s great community that is more mainstream than most would understand.

You know, after the last episode about GT7 I thought you would have done better to just talk with me. This was better. This guy has the passion and knowledge required to judge whether or not the next iteration makes the cut. The last guy seemed nervous and left so many things unsaid. I trust what this gentleman has to say about GT7, and I offer my, no our, thanks to Last Stand Media for not stopping until you got it right.

Dave Alvarez

I’m hoping that GT7 is compatible with my racing wheel 🤞🏻

Ian Andrews

Great episode would love to hear what old mate thinks about how GT7 and Gran Turismo in general compares to Forza and how Forza was a biannual game until recently.

Nathan Smith

Excellent discussion. Appreciate the insight from you both. Z28Gaming offered a fresh perspective and has gained a new fan in me! ✌
