Nvidia's GeForce Now Leaks Huge Upcoming 2022 Games | Defining Duke Episode 37

In this week's Defining Duke, we are joined by none other than "The Mayor" Ben Smith who serves as Last Stand Media's associate producer. No, nothing happened to Sea Of Thieves! However, it appears there is a leak in a ship at sea known as GeForce Now. It is on this cloud based streaming service that recently we saw the likes of Resident Evil 4 Remake, Injustice 3, a new Lord Of The Rings game, Kingdom Hearts 4, and plenty more leak. Now, Nvidia is attempting to do damage control, but the boys have thoughts on leaks beyond familiar names. Within this are codenames for upcoming Xbox exclusives! In other news, Knights Of The Old Republic is leaving Xbox behind (for a limited time) and you know that Matty just couldn't help himself with this one. The discussion around whether Xbox has games is heavily influenced by the bias in games media. I'm not even saying its intentional. Most of them play on PS4/5 and Switch so they naturally hype up and discuss those games. Listen to games media talk about Xbox and you can see how out of touch they are with Xbox as a brand. No one talks about Ori but I bet $500 if those games came out on PlayStation as exclusives people would fucking lose their minds about those games. Yeah, they review well, but no one talks about them after a month, where games like Resogun, Journey, and others are God's gift to mankind. Xbox doesn't have nearly as many bangers but they have a lot of "good" games that seem like Xbox youtubers are the only people that talk about them. Death's Door and Psychonauts 2 are kinda the outliers imo but we'll see if those games get any recognition come award season

Love the show even though I'm fairly new to it. However, I have to point out that Aspyr could not have been Microsoft's Bluepoint, because Aspyr was purchased by Embracer. Now maybe MS should have purchased them before Embracer came in, but that's a whole new can of worms. Take care! Edit: Sorry have to chime in again. Need to point out that the reason Epic is appealing is because they lost, and they lost bad actually. Yes, the judge ruled that Apple cannot stop developers from using other payment methods, but they actually DO still owe Apple the 30% cut. Bottom line is Apple dominated here and virtually nothing changed.

More and more convince DD has a winning recipe with Matty and Cog. Ben is an awesome guest to have (I know he's already busy a lot, so I appreciate even more that he takes the time!) and he brings great insight.

Thanks for reading my question. I must have not communicated my concern clearly. I don’t care about her politics. My concern is they are bringing in someone with a history of antagonizing fans. This game is going to have changes in my opinion because Lucas film is changing all of the Star Wars lore. Any change is going to have some people get upset, and Star Wars fans are especially protective of this game and KOTR 2. So why bring in a writer with a history of attacking fans? I am hesitant to go all in because if they make changes we as a fan base don’t like, they have already brought in a staff member that is known for not taking the criticism and giving it consideration, but instead attacking the gamer/fan. It’s not completely on her, some people have been way out of line with things they have said to her. But she doesn’t handle fandoms well from what I’ve seen and seems more like an attack dog for anyone that gets upset when the game comes out. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, I just want the game to be great.
