When you're a child (or even a teenager), your mind is malleable, like a piece of clay. This is where the nature versus nurture argument often comes into play, because it's really those around us, those who help mold and form us, that make us who we are. Once we're jettisoned into the world as an adult, it's those formidable encounters, relationships, and even instances of hero worship that truly stand the test of time. As such, we want to take the time today to talk about the people who inspired us as kids. Colin (that's me!) takes a sentimental tact; Dagan a more pop-culture one. Together, let's cobble together a list that explains everything. You'll see.

Just started listening. Got through the newest raps! Had to go to work so I haven’t finished yet, but I’m glad someone said it. Breath of the Wild is bleh and so is the switch lol. Love you guys!

Marcus Brown

Yes Mortal Kombat is leagues above Street Fighter and I'm not sorry but I love ya guys.

Don't worry Dagan - I got your Right Stuff joke!! However to Colins point I am 35.....but watch that Buzz Aldrin video, it's out of this world

Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) is actually 5'6"-5'8". No one actually knows his real height but apparently he is more likely 5'6". Way to make me feel insecure since I'm also 5'6" lol.

Caleb Greer

“Caleb, I’m gonna ignore that anime stuff cause it’s too nerdy for me.” That’s fair 😂

Been pretty busy the last few weeks so haven’t been able to listen to much of knockback but by god it’s great to hear Dagan’s voice again ! Great show as usual guys

Anthony Bourdain's books are both awesome. Totally slipped my mind at the time of writing, but you're totally right. I actually read it after I turned 20 around when he released his second book, so it came a little later. Anyway, peace and love. Thanks for reading my comment. P.S.: You look nothing light Bourdain, but you got a little bit of the swagger I think.

Yeah, I remember reading Kitchen Confidential very rapidly maybe 10+ years ago, it was awesome.

What a great episode!! Got a little emotional when you guys talked about your dad since I could relate with a lot things said. Also shout out to the great Kobe Bryant. Something about watching him fired me up and inspired me in so many ways. First celebrity death that genuinely made me sad.

BOTW is overrated but don’t be hating on the Switch.

Shout out to B.A. as always. ❤️ We gotta hear Dana’s side of that knife story. 😅 Shout out to Jeter as well. You’d be hard pressed to find a real NYer who hates the guy.
