We get a lot of questions, comments, concerns, thoughts, and ideas submitted to our show each week. So many, in fact, that we couldn't possibly use all of them -- or even most of them! -- meaning that some really great probes sadly go unanswered. Thankfully, Sacred Symbols+ allows us to navigate around that frustrating issue. Since our new Plus-sized supplement launched weeks ago, we've been keeping a tally of quality listener input we just couldn't fit into our normal run-of-show. The result is today's episode (as well as many more in the future) that explore unused fan-submitted inquiries on topics ranging from falling in and out of love with games and the unwritten future of enthusiast media to the noticeable dearth of titles about American history, the evolution of PlayStation Now, and much more.

Deadspace at night…alone 😨

Thank you for reading my question. Actually a game about the Bible would be great, I'd love to see a game about 1984 or some other dystopia. Btw, the name is real, technically.

For the record, Chris definitely said “2013”

Great episode! Chris talking about having 16 arms in a Civil War shooter reminded me of something: There are black powder guns in Fallout 76 that you have to load like Civil War guns. You can map guns to a weapon wheel so I found enough Black Powder rifles to fill the wheel and instead of reloading would just switch to the next in line. My DPS was off the charts.

Portal 2 should definitely be the next let's play

Loved the episode! Colin talking about his memories of playing video games late at night in high school really brought back some nostalgic memories for me. Growing up right next to the beach I always remember opening up the windows when it got cold enough to and hearing the ocean waves break as I gamed. I don’t know what it is about gaming in high school; but it holds the most nostalgia for me.

If you plan on checking out Man of Medan, you should try the co-op with the Erin!

Co-op but only Colin can direct the decisions they make

May not be the right place for it, but there's a Flash Sale on PSN right now. Colin's GOTY, Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark is one of the games in the sale. $22 for those interested!

I've walked away from gaming a handful of times. Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt came out while I was in college (USMC Vet using the G.I. Bill), and I knew I couldn't touch that game because I'd lose hours at a time. I needed to focus on school and work and there just wasn't a place for games during that time. But I got through school (Had a daughter along the way) and was eventually able to dive balls deep into one of the greatest games I've ever played. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, ya know?

You guys forgot about another Civil War game, “Civil War – A Nation Divided.” FPS, funded by History Channel and published by Activision Value on PS2 and Xbox 360. Different levels go through various famous battles with kind of historical backgrounds before and after—surprisingly pretty good haha. Got all 50 achievements on the 360! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_History_Channel:_Civil_War_–_A_Nation_Divided

When Colin said "Ok Google" it activated my Google assistant in my car.

Stroke is on you Sir Colin.

I hear you. I think it's important to get breaks from pretty much everything, at one point or another.

Proud to be one of the new supporters since Sacred Symbols+ launched It's only fair, I'd been freeloading since day one :)

Don’t sleep on Gears 5! Previews have been going extremely well so far and there have been some interesting changes made to the campaign and multiplayer options. Now, will it win GOTY? I’m not so sure, but I think it has a chance of being one of the main nominees (obviously we’ll see when it releases).

It was a pleasant surprise to discover Colin's Last Stand. It's the best video game podcast I know along Splitscreen and NVC. Kinda Funny died when Colin left, no disrespect to Greg or Tim but I don't feel passion in their work, specially in the last year. It seems like they are doing everything towards gaining more popularity, very commercial. I would like to know why Colin left.

With Gears 5 releasing and having Terminator skins it got me thinking that an actual Terminator game could be awesome. I was thinking that the Future War part of the game would be great if done in the same style of Titanfall/ Titanfall 2 and the other half of the game in the year 1984 would be great if it was like Alien Isolation having to escape the Terminator in a mall/nightclub and factory.

I’m late in this one, from what I remember waypoint was folded like twice. They launched as their own domain and couldn’t figure out how to grow traffic through seo, so they moved waypoint as a subdomain in five, and then they just moved it back to Vice gaming. Glixel was rollingstones attempt that failed so hard nobody remembers the attempt haha.

The Stroke was worth the 1$

I only started gaming at the ripe old age of 31 when I bought a PS4 with The Last of Us Remastered. For the first few years, I played anything and everything I could get my hands on. Now, at most I play 4 games a year and I usually play them obsessively to completion. I love the time I have between game releases. For this year it’s been Breath of the Wild (because I bought a Switch last Christmas), Days Gone, and Control. Those long break between games make me appreciate them a lot more.

2022-01-24 08:24:36 Hey guys, just listened to the latest SS+ and couldn’t help but notice something when you were going over this Fall/Holiday seasons releases. You completely forgot Nintendo, specifically 3 games I believe will be very heavy hitters, all exclusive to the Switch. Luigi’s Mansion 3, Zelda Link’s Awakening remastered and Pokémon Sword & Shield. I know you’re primarily a PlayStation-centric channel but given how huge of a Nintendo fan Colin used to be I just found it odd he neglected to mention those games. Anyway guys love the content and keep up the great work!

That Terminator game that came out like 10 years ago was so bad. It's definitely an IP that needs some love in a game.

Yes it is indeed and a damn fine one at that I might add 👍🏻
