Late last year, I went to San Francisco to record some episodes of CLS: Fireside Chats. You've heard all but two of them. This month's exclusive podcast is one of the two yet-unheard shows. It stars Mark Medina, an IGN editor who, when I Tweeted that I was looking for guests for the show, suggested himself. I loved that, so I accepted. We met literally five minutes before the show began, so I spent our time together getting to know him and his journey through life (he and his wife were full time foster parents before he went to IGN!), and how working in the gaming industry has changed everything. This talk is casual and laid back, and I think you're gonna love it (and probably become a Mark Medina fan when it's all over, just like I did).

Nice! Mark Medina is awesome! Love when he is on Unlocked and other ign podcasts, but it is not often enough. Great choice of guest!

Awesome! Really enjoyed listening. Mark kind of fan boying out being on the podcast despite working in he industry. Seems like a real sweetheart of a guy. He earned a fan!

Not getting that damn Jared podcast might be my undoing. This was a great episode tho!

He's a super nice dude, but IGN really does engender that kind of person. Lots of sweet people there.

Dude fuck this guy, I've never heard of him, and - I'm totally kidding. This episode was fantastic! You guys hit it off right away, there was no feeling out process at all. This is the dream for every podcast where you have a guest on you've never actually met. Mark, if you can see this too, as a CLS supporter I really hope to see you back. Great job, guys!

Some people don't understand my "no information, no questions" mentality going into podcasts, but I personally think it yields great podcasts far more often than not. Glad you liked it!

This was really interesting great job as always Colin!

It says a lot about both your personality and prowess as a podcaster that you can meet someone 5 minutes before recording and have such an interesting and organic conversation. Awesome work Colin and Mark!
