YITLOF: Ch: 35) Test! Part 4 (Patreon)

Sakura was running through the forest silently. Her hand reaching out here and there. It would not be noticeable in what she was doing if one did not look closely because her hand was moving at an incredible speed. And if one were to really pay attention to how she was running they would notice that she was running in a circle.

On the other side of the forest many Naruto were hiding making reports with the earpieces that Yuki had brought with her just for today's test. It made it easier for them to communicate. She had taken everyone's ability into account when making plans for how to win against Kakashi.  She knew this test was geared towards the other two so she had to plan appropriately.

“Kakashi spotted to the south.” Naruto whispered into his mic while staying out of sight.

“Hinata, get ready to push him towards Sakura. Naruto’s clone is already hiding and waiting.” Yuki ordered as she made her way to her position.

“On it!” Hinata answered as she dashed through the treetops. She soon spotted Kakashi leaning against a tree. “Crap! Yuki, it’s a clone!”

“That’s fine. Search for any chakra signs in the area. He may be using it as a ploy.” Yuki answered calmly. She knew Kakashi was not a jonin for nothing so he would not go down easily.

Hinata scanned the area until she spotted a source of chakra in the ground. “He is underground.”

“Heh… did he really think he could hide from your eyes?” Yuki chuckled. “Go ahead and show him what it means to hide underground against the new improved Hinata.”

“Finally!” Hinata’s eyes lit up as she jumped up into the air and did a flip. Her right hand became covered in a deep red flame with lighting arcing mixed into the acrs of flame. She pulled her fist back as she took a nose dive towards the ground. “Take this!”

Hinata’s fist slammed into the ground causing the ground cave in at the impact point before slowly cracking and after a few seconds the entire ground exploded in flames causing the shocked beyond belief Kakashi to jump out of the ground in a hurry trying to escape the flames. “Are you trying to kill me!?”

“Yes!” Hinata answered with a bright smile, making Kakashi, who was now running for his life, to almost trip and fall. He wanted to know who yells out an answer about killing someone with such a happy expression and voice!

As explosions rang out in the forest Hiruzen was watching the display from afar. “Oh? To think Kakashi would need to flee from Hinata.”

Next to him was another man, who looked very similar to Hinata, only his face was very gloomy. “To think she would become so powerful….”

“Hiashi. You can not take back your words.” Hiruzen reminded him. He would not allow Hiashi to try to force Hinata back. Just the thought of what would happen made Hiruzen sweat. He had been watching Yuki and Hinata over the years  and knew that if anyone dared to touch Hinata or anyone close to Yuki she would retaliate without a second thought.

“I know. I would not and know I could not do such a thing. I have no right to force her to do anything. And I have no right to even be considered a father either. But even so I am happy to know she has grown up to be a fine shinobi.” Hiashi knew he could not overstep his bounds. Not with Yuki protecting her.

“Mmm… But I think I should order some medical ninja’s here to heal Kakashi….” The explosions were getting louder and louder as the forest itself seemed to be undergoing a change.

Hinata had a big smile on her face as she laughed and punched the ground once again causing trees and the surrounding ground to explode all over the place. “Why do you run!?”

Kakashi wanted to cry. How was he supposed to answer!? Should he tell her that he was afraid of his body exploding from being hit by her punch!? No! He could not do that his pride wouldn’t let him! All he could do right now was run! Run! Run! And run some more!

What no one noticed as a figure running alongside the two. Quietly watching the situation and analyzing what to do next. While at the same time the same figure sat in the treetops looking down at the spot that the next phase of the operation was about to take place in. “Judging by the speed Kakashi is running at, he should be here in about a minute.” This figure was none other than Yuki who swayed her legs back and forth while pressing the device in her ear. “Naruto, Sakura, two minutes until mission start. From here on out it is up to you two to grab a bell. Hinata and I will do what we can to cover you.”

“Yes!” Both Sakura and Naruto answered at the same time.

Just as Yuki had predicted two minutes later, Kakashi came running out of the forest with a pale face out into the opening. At the same time Yuki finally stood up. Cold air began to emit out of her body as she jumped down onto the ground in front of Kakashi. She smiled as she stood there. The ground under her feet, starting to freeze. “Kakashi Sensei, why are you running?”

Seeing the young girl standing there with a smile on her face, made Kakashi want to cry. He was regretting becoming these two girls Jonin! He was starting to think he should just let them pass….
