Today I'm joined by a special guest, the great Keith Allen Dennis, to continue our discussion about Ryōichi Sasakawa, the world's richest fascist. In this episode, we cover the Liberal Democratic Party, the Three Amigos (Kodama, Sasakawa, and Kishi), the 1955 system, and Sasakawa's ultranationalist ties. We cover Sasakawa's life from the 1950s on through into the 1990s.

This includes his interactions with the Moonies and other cults like waterology, recovering looted war gold, open-air brothels, karate, and the repair of Sasakawa's reputation, such as it is. We go over the "plata o plomo" approach to Sasakawa's reputation laundering, including the long list of casualties of Sasakawa's critics, and ask the question "how much money do you have to give to become a good person?" Finally, Keith Allen Dennis leaves us with a good old fashioned ghost story.

Bruh. That whole miscarried water baby ceremony thing? I guess the moonies later took over that racket?https://twitter.com/Renrobot1/status/1546009824869105666

idk man I am thinking about this pod we recorded JFG seeing as how one big dude we were talking about, namely Nobosuke Kishi who was so instrumental in cementing the unification church - LDP relationship later has his own grandson Shinzo Abe take the title of longest serving leader of Japan, only to be cut down by a disgruntled guy who lost his mom to the cult. I'm sorry: this is fucking karma at it's most glorious. https://shingetsunewsagency.com/2022/07/10/the-crime-that-killed-shinzo-abe/
