Today I'm joined by a special guest, the great Keith Allen Dennis, to discuss Ryōichi Sasakawa, the world's richest fascist. In this episode, we cover Sasakawa's early life through into the 1950s and 1960s, but largely focus on his pre-war and wartime activities. Along the way, we discuss Sasakawa's interest in aviation, his legitimate and illegitimate business ventures, his entry into the world of organized crime, and the general ultranationalist milieu. Along the way, Dennis tells us about Moral Rearmament as well as the Moonie connections. Part 2 will cover more of Sasakawa's life from the 1950s on through the rest of his life.
