The ball was on the freaking ground when that ref called the timeout. Why wouldn't you leave it up to the ref that actually has a view of the action. Geez

Derrick Maples

Every game in this series is on 1 day rest. I'm not sure who that is more of a detriment to but we gon' find out. The Dubs could have won this game and I feel a little more confident bout their chances if the series goes long. Lakers are the favorites now though. Good stuff as usual Alch!

I know alot of people killed Poole for that shot but I see how he could think that was the best option… Lebron was 2 feet away from the 3pt line with full attention on him. The closest warrior was draymond with even two defenders between him… steph and klay were covered. It’s a 50/50 shot that lakers would react to him driving.. overall I give him a 8/10 last night

AD is a first half scorer and an early series monster. He'll wear down, especially on this short rest schedule. But playing the double bigs to start and letting the Lakers Defense not cover the two shooters and rest and sag off is a waste of Loon and Drays minutes. They gotta stagger the bigs until closing.

Anonymous

I think we have to continue to attack the basket with a trailer behind the driver.. AD was too comfortable on defense and he’s always been known to have a low motor for a superstar. I feel we started to wear him down in that 4th which is why his scoring punch wasn’t that huge. Lakers aren’t killing us on offense nor are they a great transition team so we can risk a few turnovers and blocked shots if that mean we can make AD work. I honestly looked at his 30 and said “that’s it” because he had something like 22 at the half

james moore

Dray said that lebron story was fake

Chip Tingle

I’m also optimistic because: Wiggs will play better on both ends, likely attack paint far more Klay will shoot better Steph will use more high PnR getting AD in action for either more middies or wide open 3’s AD won’t be amazing every game Dray will defend AD more often Loon will likely play mostly non-AD minutes and shore up bench JK will get minutes and attack AD/paint, wear him down earlier, guard LBJ effectively, wear him down Team will foul less Team will shoot more middies almost always available ————— Props to better JP game, under better control, but gotta get to the line!

Let's go WARRIORS!!! #WeBelieve

It sucks, I want to be invested in this series and enjoy it but it all just feels fake. I can't get rid of the feeling nothing we do will matter because the league has already decided LeBron has to win it this year. Hope I'm wrong though

Yea that's how I've been feeling about season since after the trade deadline. I feel the Warriors ruined their chances to repeat not getting a big. This series is going to be boosted to make Lebron career look better by defeating the champs after a comeback year and beating the scoring record. Putting Lebron as the GOAT because they'll beat the Celtics in the finals and give the Lakers the Most Rings of all time lol. WWE That's what I see coming into fruition and I don't want to watch that cheese.

james moore

I believed it too lol But he left a comment saying it was cap "but thats his brotha 4sho tho! ".

Had Warriors in 6 but losing gm1 wasn't part of the plan 😂. On the bright side, I actually think the compact schedule might favour warriors this time. If you saw any of that Memphis series, you'll notice what the quick turnarounds did to LeBron. Second, our staff tend to make good adjustments the longer a series goes and the core players tend to play better too. Clean up some mistakes from gm1, accept the split and see what happens on the road. Tbh, if we keep getting some of the open 3's we got from their pNr drop coverage I think the whole 3>2 might result in some blowouts if we match it with better defensive effort

AK

Ye, this isn't far fetched, it's the same way I thought they'd let us get through the Kings to set-up this epic clash. Although, they made the guys sweat and wear themselves out before getting here. Anyways, we'll see what happens

Russ

Let's just run and pound AD as u said. Get AD in PNR with Steph and just make him work, he's made of glass. Wiggs as always is key, I put no faith in Poole, that may well be his best game for the series but I always say look past the scoring, everyone gets too fired up about how many points people get, "so and so needs to score 20, 25, 30" The national media just teaches people to think how many points people get is the big barometer, it's not.

Anyone else catch Kerr say that playing Dray and Loon together negates our spacing issues? Lol if he's being serious we're screwed. I'm not sure why we refuse to go against who we are and what has always been our biggest strength. We've always forced teams to play and matchup with us, not the other way around. Small ball has always been our bread and butter and it always will be, but regardless if Kerr refuses to bring Lebron and AD out of the paint, this series is wraps. My eyes are on Dray and if he will bow down to his King, so far he has. Dudes been a sellout, so we'll if things change. *Insert iggy bench video here*

Are the warriors fouling? Or are they just playing aggressive? Thought the whistle was supposed to be swallowed a little more the deeper you go into the playoffs? Not sure how thrilled I am moving forward when Steph Klay and Poole each hit 6 threes and we still lose… bc I don’t feel we will shoot that well again and I don’t think they’ll get those free throws again

Chip Tingle

Yep, we need that rarely sighted “I’m gonna posterize you” Wiggs aggression.

Hey, I was wrong about Sabonis. I always saw the team struggle against him in reg season even back in his Pacers days but seeing how we adjusted and made me him a non factor. I'm much more positive against AD. Same with you Alc, I don't trust him also. Just let JK in a few minutes and dunk on him. It doesn't matter if he makes the dunk. Just test him and make him jump around. He will get tired and eventually miss shots.

dray still has the mental advantage against AD. I think we should let dray man him.

I don‘t think that lebron is going to win the finals this year. First, he has to beat the warriors and the lakers won‘t get as many Foul calls in the following games than in game 1. the same happened with Sacramento - the refs and the warriors learned after game 1. AD will have bad games. Lebrons conditioning will get worse and worse with every game. And even if the Lakers win against the warriors, they have to beat the younger more willing nuggets in the west finals. And after that, they have to beat the heat in the finals(yea, not the Celtics). They will play more energetic and willingly than the Lakers. I do not see the Lakers winning the championship this year. And hopefully the warriors fight back and win game 3 or game 4 and win the series in 6.

Feeling the same after this game 1 as I did after the previous one against the Kings and last year against the Celtics. I think Golden State’s success will be in its subsequent adjustments. Poole having confidence in this series will be huge. And I know nobody wants to hear this lol but any updates on Iguodala? Could be an interesting wrinkle in this playoff run. Enjoy game 2 y’all.

My thing is as soon as steph got doubled why didn’t Steve or steph just call a timeout and get a better shot? It has to be better than a damn near 20 footer

Old people like to travel 😂

Lol yeah probably not realistic. But I do seem to remember the team putting his reevaluation around this time

Ejikeme Uzoigwe

He’s definitely active on the bench though. He’s usually doing a stand up routine or giving a TED talk anytime the camera goes to the bench.

Andreas Wiedemann

I`m a bit tired of thinking kuminga is the solution. I sure do want to see him going off, I always liked the guy. He has the biggest potential of the non core guys. But potential doesn`t score and it defends even worse. He should look at moody. If he had moodys attitude, he would probably average 20min. Thinking Kerr sucks or doesn`t like him doesn`t cut it. There is a reason. He did look bad when he played. Last time when he checked in in garbage time he got blown by so bad. He had his shots. I hope he gets another one, but in the playoffs you got to be ready no matter the role, nobody is entitled to play.

Neal X

By that argument Kerr shouldn't be playing Donte at all either, since he's not been good. We have no choice but to play a variety of people to spread the load, or by the end of the series the core is going to have Jell-O legs and won't hit shots (except for Threesus, I'll never doubt him again).

Andreas Wiedemann

I think Donte is a different story. He seems ready to play (to his abilities) when he gets on the floor. Kuminga on the other hand seems to need 5 min on the floor until he fully arrives (blowing his fists etc). Maybe they should prepare him better as alch said in one of his breakdowns. I agree that we have to spread the load, but guys can`t let the game slip away. On the other hand the tight schedule might also benefit us exept for game 1. I like Threesus..he really is..

Anonymous

Yoo alch why isn’t golden state a bigger destination for free agents players with bigger names I feel like ever since Durant every B-tier to superstar player doesn’t bat and eye at getting a chance to play with Steph Klay and draymond, but lebron is quick to recruit a top level talent to his team I feel like if we get a player of that status it just makes there life easier, why can’t we attract bigger names

Anonymous

lol! Mr. TEDx over there every game. I'd just love to see him get one more swipe down on Lebron before it's all finished

godeau

Warriors is the most stacked team in the entire league, and ppl still think they have a problem to solve. Yes, their problem is they have too many players and talents like JK who would have been averaging 16 shots per game in Houston cannot make the playoff roster. Yes, I take this problem all day long over LA who has to play fucking Dennis Schröder in their best lineup while AD plays 44 mins, or PHX who can't fucking fill the 4th and 5th spot in their playoff lineup.

godeau

As for JK, he is still developing. He made a lot of progress this regular season, and did contribute more than last year. The next step for him is to start to talk on defense, understands matchups and positioning. Dubs is the best defensive team and he has to understand the defensive positioning ( not even have to execute consistently in regular season, but you have to prove that you understand it like Moses did ). Based on that, we can talk about him cracking the playoff rotation. Otherwise, yes, he needs to be somewhere else for his own benefits. Most teams don't require defensive IQ, and they'd happy to play him big time and pay him big money to watch him run back and forth and dunk over ppl.
