A few observations from my side, they had like 3 games in 4 days. Steph and Klay looked gassed out there and that's why the mental lapses were happening. for Klay more so coz he is a very emotional guy and while he was mustering all his strength, Poole was just playing lost. Ty Jerome would have been a much better option during 4th instead of Poole. Dray loses his mojo and checks out the minute he has to play with Poole. All Poole has to commit one mistake and Dray starts thinking about his next Pod.

Let's go WARRIORS!

Wiggins isn’t coming back that much is clear. I don’t recognize this team, where is the pride? The fact that Brooks can talk shit to Steph and Klay and they both don’t click that extra gear to shut him up is frustrating. I agree somewhat with what you said about Donte but I also think he only does that because we have no big men so he’s always ready to help with rebounding or defending the paint.

I believe that Draymond has been purposefully not communicating as much and being the vocal leader this year because he wasn't offered the max contract from the FO. Draymond has given his heart to this team over the last ten years and does so much of the leading and emotional labor that comes with winning, and maybe he felt betrayed by not being compensated (not saying paying him would be the right thing to do though). This whole year, he's kinda had that energy of like 'if you're not paying me the max, then I'm not giving max draymond' energy. As for Poole, I've said this in a couple of the other vids but I think he wants a trade. His defense has really regressed from last year and I think he also feels betrayed by the coaching staff/organization for not giving draymond a real punishment after he clocked Poole in practice.

Also- my theory for why we can't win on the road is chemistry/vibes issues related to the punch and the fact that the core don't really seem to be homies with their other teammates. This may have to do with the fact that they've been seeing 5-6 of their teammates be replaced each year, year after year, and after awhile it might be easier to just emotionally detach a little bit from your teammates. Also, when you're on the road, you have to travel with the team so chemistry becomes a bigger issue especially when compared with playing at home and everyone just comes from their own home and has the crowd to give them energy. Something's going on there..

i don’t understand why there are people agreeing with the punch . this is not ufc. y’all don’t realize punching a person is a crime and people giving shit to lamb when that accusation is a he said she said ordeal. there are more details with lambs alleged stuff. also remember how there was conflict with kd and draymond years ago and eventually this year draymond started giving up on plays and now klay is doing that. very toxic and see the tone and example that sets.

Can you really use the old excuse though Alc? Only 3 guys are old, the rest are pretty young. They can always lower some of these 3 old guy's minutes until they start playing with energy, but that clearly isn't on the table.

Has anyone asked the question what if the situation wiggs is going through doesn’t meet the standard of this amount of time off? I had a co worker lose his dad, fly to India, and come back in 3 weeks and he isn’t paid 33 mil to do what he does. (I’m just making a statement, not trying to anything other that speculate bc as a fan I am allowed that right). I’ve heard rumors that maybe he just doesn’t fuck with the team after the vaccination. Probably not true since he signed a team friendly extension. And you’d also think that there’d be some sort of mentality to get back to your team! YOUR TEAM NEEDS YOU kind of mentality. Idk I feel like if this season goes downhill i don’t know how that locker room will be

Good point, although the key players in terms of pay and minutes are old. Salary-wise, the team is very top heavy. They have four huge salaries (five major commitments incl Poole). The bench has to be budget one way or another. Either vet minimums or young guys. There’s no other way. This isn’t ManCity. So we’ve got this top heavy roster with four all-star level salaries. But for most of the season we’ve only had one all star level performer at a time. Add that with a budget bench and you have a mid team. Salary-wise, this roster is simply not able to withstand having its top players out, injured or playing poorly. Again, it’s impossible to have the highest paid starters AND a stacked bench. To me, that’s the whole season right there. The only reason we’ve done as well as we have is because we’ve gotten way above their pay grade production out of DDV, Kuminga, Lamb, Looney & Ty Jerome.

By the way, re that last point. That’s why I was disappointed with Draymond calling the bench mentally weak (he said, ‘team’, but we know he wasn’t talking about himself or the vets. Guys like DDV, JK, Lamb & Jerome had been busting their ass all year playing against much higher paid competition. All of those guys have risen to the occasion and punched above their weight multiple times over the course of the season. I don’t know what the road problems are, but it seemed inaccurate and unfair to call the bench ‘mentally weak’

I don’t like for anybody to start some ish and not show up to back it up. Dray and Klay and Steph chirping at this young team full of players that Steve Kerr probably would not play on a championship team … dig… Got up for you … at they house. there also the problem that many fans have been pissy about coming to fruition … not going all in on JK AND MOODY … (Not Wise) the bench should have been built around those two… And they should have gotten the starts where players were missing. Might have created new chemistry and some young dawgs chomping at the bit to have equity with their vet team mates. JK responded. I saw Moody play last year he’s no chump… he would have responded the same. Fans had every right to grit their teeth over the 2-ways getting infront of their promising lottery picks … Kerr fuckin’ around with Moody’s head. And that’s some giant fuckery cause Moody got Dome’age.. pause. Long winded apologies… the irony that Kerr did not play the youngsters, traded on of them .. because they could not play on a championship squad could end up being in the damn lottery with Detroit who played Wise 25 Minutes a night improving his value. OKC getting in over us playing a teen lottery pick, and a rookie big taken after PBJ. Isn’t it ironic don’t you think….

Yeah normally someone acting all macho and getting in Steph's face ups his game. But here you could clearly see he just didnt care. 16 shots??? Poole and Kuminga were actually leading the comeback in this game, and then Kerr and the vets almost ensure that the comeback didnt happen and throw the rest of the game out. This game almost felt self sabotaged.

Andreas Wiedemann

Steph is a competitor as you said. His fire is burning. If he lets it go in game 72, he might just be collecting wood for game 1. He doesnt foreget and knows when it counts thats for sure🔥

DiegoH

I think that this team really is more of a seven game series squad. Definitely wanna stay out of the playing cus there is a good chance we just lose. Also any thoughts on Wise? Haven't been following but I hear he is decent.

athleticalchemy

solid takes Seb. Dray does seem to tank at times, although if he is opting out im not sure why, maybe he already has a deal lined up

Ryan Mitchell

F*ck - that was even more painful watching it the second time. Thanks Alch 🙏🏻

From what I can tell, the people in Detroit have been pleasantly surprised, for the most part. He has his flaws and is not the second-coming-if-not-for-Kerr that stans believed. But they’ve been impressed that he tries on defense and gets boards, even if it’s all in a frustratingly low-IQ manner. They are bigger on Duren but see Wiseman as a potential part of their future. The thing that frustrated me as a Warriors fan is not that we moved on from Wise, but rather that the team and a large portion of the fan base seemed to do everything in their power in their power to convince the league that he was the worst basketball player to ever con his way into the NBA. Although, to be fair, I think December was really the time to showcase him. Either he’d earn his way on to the floor or at least show the league what he can do. Kerr was giving him that rope, but once Wise got injured that messed everything up. By the time he was right, Steph was back and it was go time. There’s a world where Wise could’ve brought in something more substantial if he’d strung together a few more performances like the Christmas game v Memphis. Hell, we might’ve been able to get GP2 on the cheap in the summer anyways. Well…coulda shoulda woulda…
