Alright, I’m gonna need someone to fight me on this Halliburton take. This needs to be the last time I get ticked off by Haliburton propaganda, bc it’s getting ridiculous! Here’s the truth. He’s is AIGHT!! He’s good. He can play. My problem is every other NBA fan sees “dynamic play maker, game changer, no weaknesses”. The dudes got plenty of weaknesses. All y’all are watching is a dude playing unsuspecting defenses in the regular season. You mean to tell me in the playoffs this dude with an ok first step, weak frame, and the jump shot of a 5th grader is gonna lead a contending team. Remember what it’s like playing in the playoffs. It’s not always about what you can do, it’s about can we force you to do something you can’t do. I like Haliburton. I think he’s a plus starter on a playoff team. But not a 1, a 2, and I’d hope not a 3 if he were on my team. I don’t see how his game is gonna evolve much more with his set of skills. Here’s a better take for you. He’s not the best Tyrese from his draft. That would be Tyrese Maxey. I’d have a harder time taking him out of a playoff game assuming they’re both 3rd or 4th options. Plus I trust his defense more.

Thanks for speaking on GP2! Really interesting to hear your perspective on coaching kids. One story about my favorite coach growing up: one Saturday the gym we practiced at was closed for some reason. He was a musician as his main job, and ran a recording studio. So since we didn't have a court to play on, he went into his car, and pulled out about 20 different percussion instruments (some I had NEVER seen before). He pulled one out, started a rhythm, and then handed the instrument to a player. Then he added a new instrument with a complimentary rhythm, and gave that one to a different player... continued this until we were each playing one and combining into one extremely complex rhythmic pattern. He then tried to throw us off by dribbling a basketball in a different rhythm in front of us, yelling/clapping in our faces, etc. So he took what could have been a cancelled practice and used it as an opportunity to teach us about focus, connection, and teamwork. It was almost like meditation. That hour and a half practice went by like it was 15 minutes, and we absolutely dominated the best team in the league the next day. Without a doubt my favorite team that I ever played on.

I assume with Wisemen and how the front office has spoke about him, they are fully invested--but with their lack of transparency and really how all front offices operate: There is a world where they bring Wiseman only against favorable match ups and moments to revitalize the stock for the off-season. They saw how the league valued him at the deadline with the lack of calls and offers that included his name. And if this hypothetical situation is in the cards, it might be why they want him to just have a single run of games before the playoffs. Young players success come in waves and audiences tends to only remember what happened last. They may be hoping to get 15-20 games of good highlights at the end of the season. It's unlikely he will be used heavily in the playoffs if at all. It is also possible that both are true, that they Hope to be committed, and have this asset building agenda as a backup plan if he simply doesn't fit the system

I completely agree with the Steve Kerr take, the warriors get more system baskets outside of the pick and roll more than most other teams in the NBA. It gives very easy baskets and open looks when we are playing well. That makes our brand of basketball easy and more attractive to watch. Steve Kerr has to get credit for that, plus his out of bounds and after timeout plays are elite.

Denver wins - what else needs to happen until we find a serviceable Big? that game would not have been so close if we had another decent body to throw at the Joker. Find some dude in Europe, Africa, Australia, China, find someone Bob!!! Curry going to sleep again on the last play... Does the Joker have the prettiest set shot in the NBA?
