OMGGGGGG 2;40 minutes in "the ToRrnAadOo MoOvvEe" i am fucking dead lmao

Anonymous

I like the nuanced take. ASB much needed

Anonymous

Terrible loss going into the All Star Break. I almost hope that none of the Warriors would go and just refocus for the playoffs.

Elvis

Damn, this loss hurt a lot. Idk why LOL

Anonymous

Yeaa I get it kerr sparing some players feelings but I guess at times I feel every player on this knows that they have to sacrifice for them to reach the ultimate goal but oh well. LMAOO besides has anyone seen “about last night” I know if you’ve seen this alch would have some crazy jokes, but i get curry is a grown man but it’s so funny seeing him and Ayesha like this it’s cool thoe

Anonymous

I just don't understand why he feels the need to rename the move...

Anonymous

how many times has Steph messed up that coverage? I feel like it's been at least 4 times in the last month where someone would hit a big 3 over him in the exact same way

Natto Santo

I am not mad we lost this game, Denver is my second favorite team now because of Joker. Steph's mid range is nice. and OTTO is the MAN in the 4th. I like GP2 to stake up with other team when they have bigs. Because of how good OPJ and GP2 are, in the closing lineup we may play them instead of Wiggs or Klay or even Curry. When Green is back, Loon should be out for the closing lineup.

One thing I dislike about Klay's game is when he isos from the perimeter. In my opinion, he's out of pocket with those isos. I much prefer Klay Isoing near the paint for a post up when he has a size advantage. I hope they can iron this out by the time the playoffs roll around

Anonymous

Alc, if Kuminga grew three more inches in the off season would you feel comfortable with him playing center?

Major Powers

AHAHA YOUR KELENNA IMPRESSION IS FUCKING HILARIOUS

Paul Hanson

Terrible loss but it leaves things clear: Looney by himself is not enough. The season hinges 75% on Draymond and his health and ability to be that 2017 Draymond. I hear Myers say the Dubs have 5-6 centers-I laugh. Really? All stretch 5s? I know that the reason they say this is-no big on the market is really going to be able to pick up the system and make an impact while also affecting the vibe of the team dynamic when player X is let go. The big 3 haven't played together since the last decade. It's all about health really-and a little adjustment and bye to Steph's ego on some of these ridiculous game winning defensive efforts. He almost blew the Lakers game too. Ah well.

athleticalchemy

He needs more weight to really be a center. Ayton.. maybe AD… JJJ Holmes those guys fine. They aren’t leverage back to the basket guys. But Nurk, Val, Adam’s obviously Jok.. Zu. As my kids like to say… ain’t no way!

I dont get it. When the warriors are up by 7 with a 1:20 to play and they have the ball, particularly with the way Steph is shooting this season from 3, why are we jacking up 3s. "Cause thats what we do." Why is Klay throwing up 3s, when he hasnt gotten into his rhythm yet, "cause thats what we do". The odds are always going to be better getting a layup , and when you are up by 7, you preserve, you dont hit the home run. ... but thats what we do. Feel like the Warriors are stuck in a reality that doesnt exist presently. Kind of like grampa saying, "we dont let "those" people in the house, cause thats the way its done". In my mind, if we expect grandpa to change with his ridged mind, we can certainly expect a young warriors team to adapt. And Kerr is supposed to be a top 15 coach, but he has Curry in defending the last play instead of GPII. Im probably a shitty coach, but what was that Kerr? And the administration for the warriors is suppose to be great. But we were and are getting eatin alive by bigs, even average bigs. Considering that Curry is off this year and Klay is just getting his sea legs and Dray has an injury that is very suspect and Mr Wise is going to have to learn basketball in a month, we still decided not to get a big. What ... ?!! Time to get a life ...

Kind of okay with this loss, mainly BECAUSE it hurt so much. Keep the players nice and pissed off while they rest, let the anger from this L fester under the surface and come back physically and mentally invigorated. We've seen what a lack of regular-season adversity can end with in 2016... these vets and youngsters are getting multiple reminders that no single game can be taken for granted. Keep it rolling, get BDD/Wise back, and keep the ultimate goal in mind.

Jansen E

Is it against the rules to opt out of the ASG? Like say thanks for the votes and youre glad youre an all star, but Wiggins and Curry should just take the whole week off and do something unbasketball related. The whole team and coaching staff needs to do it except Wiseman. Everyone just needs to go and reset their energy bars and focus because thats now the 5th or 6th game where we've blown a double digit lead.

I was at this game and had a great view of Klay’s shot attempts in second half. Like I noticed almost every shot he took was off balanced. Joker killed us all night and when he was too deep in paint, it was automatic for him. Warriors desperately need a big as Looney really can’t be the only reliable center since Beli will get cooked every time.

Anonymous

Yeah, he's cost us 2 games in the last 10 seconds, and if LeBron could shoot FTs it might be 3 games. I don't think he's beyond improving though. We just have to remember in the playoffs, if he gets the coverage correct, to give him props for learning.

Major Powers

We even looked off during the 9 game win streak. Lots of not pretty wins. No Dray, Klay hunting his shot too much (remember the game he had all those dimes and we blew Dallas out of the gym?), Steph playing lazy in the dog days, Wiggs seemingly disengaging too often, his defense looks softer suddenly, questionable Kerr rotations, and there's more. If we're actually gonna beat anyone good in the playoffs we need to see a very disciplined and inspired turnaround after the ASB.

Major Powers

Hell no for Wiggs, it's his first selection AND he's a starter? He's super excited about it. And I'm sure Steph wants to be there for his boy. These guys care about the ASG, it's a big deal to get to go to the elite club and hang out with everyone.

Ezra Abbey

teams can now go to hack-a-loon hack-a-dray & hack-a-wiggs, we have a lot of suspect free throw starters on this team...

Chip Tingle

Good stuff, Alch. So many impactful if’s need to line up for real title contention level: Dray’s health and level…without him, we’re cooked. Wise the new Javale? Especially against Joker, AD, JJ, Ayton… Andre’s health, serviceable for decent minutes at point of bench unit, freeing up JP…(or Dragic?) Whole team’s D trending upward rather than what we’re seeing now Doable, big challenges ahead are gonna be fun to watch!

Anonymous

That last possession wasn't on Curry, when you double a post player at least 1 guy should be hedging over 2 shooters, definitely closer to Morris than Rivers. Wiggins looked like he was dreaming all game.

Anonymous

That high BBALL IQ low BBALL discipline with Steph sparked the bulb for me. Although simplified, it explains everything for me in regards to your strength being your weakness

Anonymous

Early in the season they bought themselves a good cushion between them and the 3 seed and have clearly been coasting through the dog days while simultaneously in damage control mode for over a month. They've officially used up their vacation days. With Dray returning to bring some tangible structure back to the team and the grizz hot on their tails, this team will lose no more than 5 games post all star. No doubt in my mind the best is yet to come.

John Z

Just tired of the terrible habits we have. If Wiggs n Steph are lacking the focus and energy, take them out. We have bodies at those positions. Spo and Nurse hold all of their players accountable. So value your possessions like we're suppose to. They say pride is for the foolish man.

Anonymous

Tough loss, but honestly if Steph/Klay (mainly Steph) can't get his three point shooting back to an elite level, this team has a much lower ceiling and won't go far into the playoffs. 3 point shooting is what made Steph truly special and unique. Right now he's Memphis Mike Conley, a good player but meh overall.

Anonymous

I've been saying this and got called a troll. This team lacks mental focus and has bad habits, and terrible shot selection. It starts with Steph and Kerr. Steph is playing loose with an arrogance to him and Kerr isn't putting him in check. He's literally cost us like 3 games with his laziness and lack of focus.

athleticalchemy

Klay’s legs aren’t strong enough for some of these on the move shots. It’s one thing moving straight down hill, but turning corners and shit nah.. not yet

Qiushi Hu

I'm not gonna give them too much crap before the all-star break

Gsw4L

JTA, JK, GP2, JW...all below average ft %

Thats a fucking great point to weigh basketball iq against basketball discipline. But to echo the sentiment, warriors need their system to be more flexible with favoring discipline over pecking-order based decisions. Basically how alch said kerr is too much of a player's coach and steph is too undisciplined, but is anyone in the warriors org saying that or just alch? Thinking of the season as a war of attrition, basketball has to be considered a paramilitary activity. Warriors need to confront this more directly imo. Leadership is anything but easy but there's got to be enough smart people in the room already to figure this shit out

Kahlil Baker

One thing lately I think Klay is jacking up way too many shots trying to force things. Wiggins has been by far more efficient and he’s not getting the shots because Klay is shooting or doing a 10-15 dribble iso. Wiggins or Curry should have the ball more and Klay should continue to play off the ball.

Anonymous

Thanks for everything you do! Enjoy the break!! We appreciate you!

It's really crazy at how effective Draymond is at boxing out centers. The night day difference before and after Drays injury is astounding. We fine and out rebounding almost everyone all year then boom dray gets hurt and we are getting murdered on the boards. Drays ability to box out and defend much larger players is the catalyst to our small ball

Anonymous

Wasn't happy about Wiggins' effort this game

Andreas Wiedemann

ASG thoughts: I like KDs idea of picking the players directly on the court like you do in a pickup game. Dunk contest: I m tired of nobody wantig to compete. It should be an honour. I think we need the best dunkers in the game, like ja. So there shouldn`t be a choice, there should be a jury (fan) voting who gets in. Jordan vs wilkins, we need more of that instead of nobody vs whoisthis.

Yehudah Raphaelsohn

He's far more impactful than Memphis Conley. He still demands an insane amount of respect from defenders and constant double teams. He's leading the league in +/- for a reason.

Anonymous

I have consistently lauded Kerr for being a player's coach but his decisions in this game make no sense to me. Leaving Looney in to get fouled was risky but what is the upside? If he makes his free throws I doubt that would discourage other teams from trying it. They just look at the numbers. And leaving Steph in (and Payton out) was dumb. Steph is the one player who isn't going to suffer ego damage if he sits in that situation.

Anonymous

Could the game knockout be low-key lit for the All-Star Weekend? Each team submits one player?

Anonymous

Also, who is your top three current players you like to see in the dunk contest? For me, I got: Ja Morant, Miles Bridges, Ant Man, and Speacial K as a honorable mention

Anonymous

The moment I saw they weren’t subbing Steph out I knew it was over

Anonymous

Dragic move to Nets makes no sense to me, is this in case the team deals with injuries?
