Musab imran

Hey unc would you rather have Beli or Dwight?

TGonz510

Don't want to blame those 4-5 plays mid to late in the 3rd quarter on the refs deciding the game. But it for sure seemed to dip their energy and effort after that.

Hey Alch. Sorry to hear things didn't work out with the Hezi. Just wanted to let you know that I always look forward to listening to it on my lunch break, and I will listen to your podcast wherever you go with it next.

Anonymous

Alch, I’m glad to hear the podcast isn’t going anywhere! Maybe this rebranding could be a blessing in disguise

Anonymous

Hell yah bro go independent on the POD, let us know ASAP! I do agree, when I was watching I felt like Belly lost us that game, dude has been playing awful. LOVE Kuminga getting after it and Killa getting more and more comfortable. Hopefully, Drey won't be out for too long, but maybe it will allow for Kuminga to get more mins and become undeniable in the rotation. Happy MLK day!

Anonymous

Where ever your Hezi ends up, I'm there.

John Pettus

Let us know about the new pod, Alch.

Anonymous

Yes.....we need your podcast in some shape of form. We need our fix 😉 Seems like Belly is in some sort of slump. All he had to do is shoot the 3 and do some play making. Not drive. I didn't see so much in the breakdown, how did JK defend Ant-Man?

Matt Hanna

sad to hear about the Hezi, it has been my fav sports podcast as of the last year and half. Excited to see what you do on your own podcast. I look forward to it every day that they come out.

Branden Edwards

I'm going wherever The Hezi ends up. One of my favorite sports pods

CP3 is my most hated player in the league followed by harden, but no one disgusts me more than KAT. Dude is a career loser with a grossly obvious facade of a tough guy, gets bitched around by guards and bigs alike, has never given a single shit about defense, bails out on any player going to the rim, sounds like a complete poser on his podcast, is disliked by his former teammates, etc. He really is a pussy kat

Anonymous

And that ref situation... it's a learning curve. To don't let your head/spirit down when they call shaky stuff.

SAOpp

Alch. I’ll pay up for your podcast and I think most of your Patreons will too. Best b-ball content anywhere.

SAOpp

Seems that most teams fold up after a 5 minute stretch where it feels like you’re playing 5 against 8. Hard to avoid that, especially on the road with your leaders back home in the bay.

Russ

Man Belli has dropped off. It looks like he's feeling the pressure now. I don't think he's ever been asked to play this much at the 5. But that doesn't matter he is way in his head right now. I'd bet that the last 15 times he's put the ball down and drove 10 of them have been instant turnovers. Kuminga does something I've not really seen before since maybe Dominic Wilkins who wasn't as strong, he gets to spots and elevates and then ends up dunking when your eye says wait, I thought that was a layup or short floater. He will humiliate dudes going forward, more so than Antman who will fly like a bird but Kuminga will just put people into the basket or the first row on slams. Just so fun to watch, so hope he keeps accumulating minutes.

but do you get a chance to notice your listeners in Hezi? i visited the basketball.net website once, the webpage is not up to standard, you deserve better.

Looking forward to that new Hezi alch!! Lots of support!

Anonymous

Love the Hezi while you’ve been doing it and am definitely happy to hear that you’ll be moving it to Patreon

Anonymous

The might as well sit Steph these next 3 games. They’re going against lower competition in DET, IND, and HOU. It would give Steph more time to heal and maybe it would freshen him up to get his flow back together.

Anonymous

Warriors have definitely lost their defense along the way…the offense comes and goes…it’s rough…maybe it’s a regression (scouting report) or injuries but i think they need to shake things up…i would cut down the rotations to 9 players like last year…Get a more compact group and identity….

We're with you wherever you go with your podcast Unc Alch! Always looking forwad to your content.

Honestly where ever you want to take it I’ll tune in religiously you can count on that. That being said I like having it on Spotify for convenience sake but as long as you keep it up I’ll be listening wherever you post it. I appreciate all you do Alch.

So this Draymond thing is not good news at all. This is what I look at all day. Its hard to say, I'm not looking at his CAT's, checking the tightness in the spine, or nerve conduction studies and the like, but if you have a lumbar disc that is causing symptomology or affecting function in the low back, this tends to be a precursor to sciatica or chronic low back pain. When the disc is degenerated enough to cause effects in the calf, what it means is that the sciatic nerve is getting pressured enough from the decreased joint space in the lumbar spine, to radiate symptoms down the leg; just like when we pop our funny bone and get symptoms down our arm to the wrist. IF ! the disc is affected, (like the reports suggest), this is not something that most medics and PTs know how to rectify other than surgery. The reports could be from a mistaken diagnosis. Maybe Dray has muscle spasm in the low back and this is causing a referral of pain to the calf. Fixing the muscle spasm will remove the calf symptoms. But the fact the medics are saying his calf pain is from a disc is, in my professional opinion, a very negative consequence for the warriors chances to make a run at the title. We can see how important his presence is for the team. I mentioned this in my last post. We dont have a coherent team without Draymond. He is the distributor on offense and the foundation on defense. He can tough this out and this could be a "minor" disc thing, but minor and disc rarely go together.

shot from klay definitely looks more on balance

Mike Peterson

I'm confused, coach. I realize that Beli is a slow-footed perimeter defender, but knowing that, when he's defending that drive from the wing, why wouldn't he funnel his guy to the help in the mid? That gives him a chance to recover or at least to recover to help the helper. Right? What am I missing?

Anonymous

Alch, I tried to listen to the other podcasts on bballgods.net. Compared to your work, that shit was unlistenable. I roll with you wherever your podcast lands

Dan Doerge

Alch is Our Boy. We will keep on rolling w The Hezi wherever!

Anonymous

Alch, what's your take on Dray, do we need a backup big? what's your take on Wiseman, have they started 3x3 or is that not real?

Anonymous

Alch do you think that the warriors are so good at development that they're able to redeem busts or are they just good at spotting talent to develop

creuset

this is probably just me, but when i try to ask google to play "the hezi"--even if i spell it out--it does not bring up your awesome podcast. usually it'll play me a certain song. if you have to change the name when you rebirth the pod, i would not be sad for it to be slightly easier to call up (Bballchemy or Sports Alchemy?) on alexa/google assistant. i know there are workarounds if it stays the hezi--which is, after all, a good name

Natto Santo

Love your pod. But you should find a good junior partner, someone who will ask you questions on the behalf of regular fans, and inspire you to speak dynamically. Then you will be the wisdom guy and speak out your take on teams and on all the details of the basketball moves.

Jerry Heverly

I'm beginning to see your point about Belly. But it's worth looking at the numbers to see if they reveal something that your eyes don't see. Who had the worst +/- in the game? Belly? No, he was fourth worst. Kuminga was lowest at =30; Damion Lee and Iguodola were almost as low Only Looney and Porter had positives. I'm a big JTA fan but passing up those open shots........frustrating.

We keep whiffing on these foreign white dudes... varejao, casspi, jarebko, bender, smiley, mannion, and now bjelica. Zaza was a rare hit, but even a broke clock...

Major Powers

Call the new pod 'KD's Burner'

creuset

good junior partner is good. i also like that he cites comments/questions from patreon. we could definitely add more smart debate/questions for his podcast. i think the dialogue from commenters here is better than most other places

Anonymous

Hey Alch, would you mind me posting a 30 second clip from this video of you talking about the problems with Bjelica on Reddit? r/warriors has been defending this scrub for months and it’s getting ridiculous. I can add a link to your socials in the comments

Anonymous

I'd like you to name the new pod "The Reload", but you should probably name it something more google-able.

Anonymous

The worst call was taking away that Klay 3 at halftime despite the fact he hit the shot and they played 10 seconds of basketball afterwards. You can't retroactively make a call like that because everything that happened after the play is contingent on the call not being made. If the call is made when it happened then likely the players move down the court differently, there are different match-ups or switches and maybe there's a different look at the end of the half. Make the call when it happens or before the next play starts

Anonymous

Alch, bring the podcast back. Love hearing your takes on the hezi

Anonymous

Alch what do you think happened with Belli's play? He seems to look more and more lost out there as the season goes on. You think hes lost confidence cause of the spotlight and all the good shooters we have , or does he need to hit the weights and get some more shots up lol

Anonymous

I like having the pod on spotify so I can listen to it easily in the car or at the gym!

Paul Hanson

Man-Basketball Gods is losing a real one with you gone. Oh well-glad the Hezi is still around. Like many Dubs fans-what happened to Beli? Is it mental? It sure looks like it although he physically looks like he goes to the same gym as Luka Doncic

Anonymous

Oh well I was never able to navigate BasketballGod's website anyway, glad you are doing this independently now. Does that also mean it won't be on apple podcast in the future? As for Beli I think he is trying too hard to do many things, he wants to do everything at once and showcase his skills but his body can't sustain that play style. Once he settles down and be a shooter (and if the shot is not there just pass the ball instead of driving) he will look a lot better. Defense is the big problem, I don't see him finishing the season with us if he keeps giving up so many easy shots

Ryan Mitchell

Always been a fan of their backup center Naz Reid - would love to have him on our squad!
