Agree, play Kuminga! JFC.

Anonymous

Loved seeing Giannis and kuminga embrace after the game. African connection plus kuminga being baby Giannis (fingers crossed that ages better than baby KD 😂).

Major Powers

But if you trade Wise for anyone real you gotta trade Wiggins for the $$$. And losing Wiggins is pretty much a downgrade across the board the way he's been playing. I think we're stuck with our lineup.

Erin Laskey

Y'all said they should trade Draymond last season, and now it's Wiseman. C'mon guys, no chance

Anonymous

Maybe they should try starting Poole and bringing Klay off the bench. This won't do anything for their size issue but at least Poole can try to get going early.

athleticalchemy

I’m not saying trade him just to trade him. But if you can get a legit center back.. I think you got to do it

Russ

Agree to trade Wiseman for the right center, otherwise kiss this window goodbye. He will be good in a couple years but in a playoff series this year with any of the good teams bigs?? Sorry I'm hating to admit it but that's almost surely a hard no. And Klay is really drifting, I think he will see it and correct it but it's very different right now. Finally I so agree with moving King Kuminga up the depth chart, just for the entertainment if not for development.

Anonymous

They did play Kuminga. In the first half he was terrible, but he played minutes in the third and the entire fourth.

Anonymous

Did Kuminga bang one of the assistant coach's wives? The #7 draft pick only plays in garbage time? If they are going to make a trade for Sabonis or Turner, they should avoid including Poole cause he is there third and sometimes second best scorer this year. Even a couple of times Poole was the best scoring option.

Anonymous

This team is going nowhere if Steph is playing like this. The entire Offense is built around him. The other players are supposed to feed off him and capitalize off him. He's probably the worst superstar in the league right now, 33% fg in January lol.

Anonymous

I think you gotta give Klay 10 games before you start talking about changing shit. We knew reintegration was gonna be heavy and Poole needs to adapt to the 6th man role.

Anonymous

I’d love to get a true big through a trade but I honestly think the FO is too proud to make one especially with their prized #2 pick as the main bait

Branden Edwards

Any trade for a starting-caliber center with size without giving up Draymond or Wiggins for the money to work has to include Wiseman and either Poole, Moody, or Kuminga. Kuminga is off the table, and I think Poole is too. So Wiseman and Moody would be the trade

Anonymous

Could we even get a vet center for wiseman right now? Everyone else seems more spooked about him than we do.

Anonymous

I'd like to see Steph give the ball up at half court and remain there, see if he can draw an additional defender and let them play 4-3. If it works it could begin to free him up a bit. When Klay logs more minutes it will help.

Anonymous

I wish I had a more heads up take on this game, but I couldn't. I was just curled on a couch with a blanket over my head. This game hurt my soul. The team does not look good right now, and it doesn't help that we have so much trouble getting to the free throw line when shots aren't falling (don't get me started on how refs are officiating Steph)

Anonymous

This one was hard to watch... Mad props to you for sticking through these stinkers, Alc! Your sagely insight is always appreciated!

Major Powers

Kerr notoriously plays vets over rooks when he can. Kuminga looks so good though I think he's gonna force the issue

Anonymous

I honestly came away from this game with a different perspective. They are intentionally putting players in new positions. Running pick and roll with Otto and seeing if he can make the reads, or having Wiggins initiate for Steph/Klay off-ball action. An example is the small push in the 3rd qtr when they had Klay Running inverted PnR and pulling up off Steph's screen. I think figuring out what you're really working with and solidifying roles and rotations is a higher priority than 1 win at this point. Downside is the unfamiliarity causing the players to "think" instead of read and react by instinct which looks sloppy, but required for growth

Anonymous

Moving Wise is probably not going to happen because time is not on our side. To be a viable trade piece for Val or Turner, the teams are going to have to be convinced he is healthy. I don't think we can get there in a month. Nevertheless, we could use another big. I think someone mentioned Theis the other day. A guy like that would really help us, even if Wise can come back and be decent. I hate thinking we are relying on Wise and Looney as our muscle.

Anonymous

It is what it is. And, while it's not an excuse, I think fatigue is finally settling in. Looking back at their schedule the past month, they've traveled a lot over the past month with only a few 1-2 game homestands before going back out on the road. That upcoming 7 game homestand can't come soon enough.

Anonymous

To be fair he just had his knee scoped to clean up the area and reduce swelling. Doesn't sound like a serious structural issue if he's back on track for contact a month later

Anonymous

Great breakdown again. So it seems that it's not plug and play for Klay. Seems like the team was clicking better before. But he'll be alright. Too bad it coinsides with Steph slump.

Magic have 3 centers with contracts of different size (Robin Lopez, Mo Bamba, Wendell Carter) any one of which I would be intrigued by. Lopez is cheap and on a 1 year so maybe we could get away with trading Belly and a 2nd for him just to get a legitimate center who provides some things different from Loon. Sad part is we ll know how this ends. Warriors aint doing shit. This whole conversation is an excercise in futility

Natto Santo

No one on the roster is truly reliable in offense now. Look at AI, Bjli, JTA, Green, Cheese, Loon, they score like 0 to 3 pts per game. Only Wiggins and OPJ are rather stable but they can only give you 15 pts a night. Klay, Poole and Steph got to get over 20 a night for us to have a chance to win. But Steph and Poole are scoring like under 15 now. SO we need Kuminga, he can score 15 easily with playing time. No more Bjli and JTA, we need to get Cousins or some big in the mkt.

LMAO at the euro impersonation

Anonymous

That section on Klay not giving a fuck had me smiling wide. 😆

Anonymous

Klays landing is as weird as Stephs right now, both have that asymmetrical stick one leg out landing with more jump than necessary. They don't shoot this way in practice so why do we see this every season in their slumps? It's just kind boggling to me. They aren't getting enough arc on their shots compared to their usual.

athleticalchemy

Yeah it doesn’t necessarily have to be a big move.. but we need another Crntrr other than the hope Wise

Anonymous

0-4 BITCHH

Anonymous

I'll feel a lot better when Draymond is back and the Chef starts to cook again. It's painful to see a loss like that with Steph looking so off his game. I do hope we fix the size issue and do it by getting someone who is mobile.

Anonymous

hey that shooting slump has something to do with the curry marriage rumors

Anonymous

we keep waiting for Chef to cook again, but it's been a month and a half now.

Connor H

I wouldn’t hit the panic button on wise yet. He just had a knee scope not a full blown surgery surgery. We have no idea what the reason for it is but it could be as minor as them checking to make sure everything’s healing right. Just some context. I hear you on the known commodity bit but damn yesterday on Reddit someone linked his rookie highlights and dude can legit be a baller with some play time

Anonymous

Wiseman, Turner, Kuminga, Poole, Klay, Wiggs, trade, the list goes on...none of this matters if Steph keeps playing like a worse version of Westbrook and I'm being nice right now

Connor H

Like I legitimately forgot how much potential this kid would show https://youtu.be/fTKIKHMFKaU

Anonymous

I do feel the frustration with Beli sometimes. But believe it or not, I actually think our offense would look even worse with him off the court. Him as a stretch big does help to balance out these lineups of so many hesitant shooters who don’t score without being set up.

Anonymous

Unc jinxed with the 4-0 😂, but clearly were not sweeping this road games without draymond. And also Idk but for me tuscano, Lee and bjalica needs to go, so frustrating to watch.

Ken Bradford

Karma for rightfully calling them the ugliest team

Anonymous

Jesus, its like the warriors took some bad acid ...

John Z

Been the same issues for Kerr since 16 WCF. Dude is too entrenched in his own system to realize and adapt some of the simplest tactics to alleviate some of his team's issues. He may be a decent quartermaster, but he is way too rigid in his decision making and tactics. BE DYNAMIC KERR. Appreciate the breakdown as always.

Anonymous

Alch I swear Kevin Harlan stole your “Otto. porter. Jr” line 😂 it was the same cadence and everything

Anonymous

Yo Alc what do you think about the chances of the Warriors getting Cousins?

Anonymous

Can those 3 be packaged in a trade? I have no idea how NBA trades work

Keith Reynolds Jr.

Man Curry has looked very bad and that has spread throughout the team. His energy and effort to me is very off. I do not like how he is relaxed in these situations.
