MVP Curry!!!!!

The Alchemy curse is real!!!!

Amazing game from Steph, but PLEASE STOP HELPING off of shooters!!!! It's killing me, nice call out Alc.

Anonymous

If dubs finish top 6 seed and steph continues this hot streak for the rest of the season you gotta give the mvp to him. Fuck being in the convo we trying to win that bih

james moore

I almost lost my voice screaming for steph during this game lmao

Anonymous

I have a feeling steph might steal the mvpfrom embiid and jokic. If we can get to 6th seed and steph continues his hot streak and above all do what he just did to embiid vs jokic on friday. He needs to outplay the guys ahead of him in mvp voting on national tv. He already did it to embid and jokic but another dominantion of jokic will be the nail in the coffin

Anonymous

The best of both worlds, Steph on an "other world" run of games and Alch to add context to what we just witnessed, we are a lucky group here. A time to remember.

Anonymous

Alc, do you think embid shot is suspect because of his over reliance on his left leg when he shoots? Looney seemed to just put him off balance every time he went for a shot. Also is looney like one of those fire hydrant guards but in centre form?

Thomas Ogas

Thank you, Alch, for pointing out Draymond's BBIQ in the late 4th with regards to how we were running P&R vs Embiid, so when they switched Embiid's defensive assignment, Draymond just picked Looney's guy and Steph was still wide AF open. We all notice the things Draymond doesn't do (like take or make shots) but we often miss the smart off-ball things he does do to help unlock Steph.

Anonymous

Well, Steph could potentially continue this hot streak and the Warriors could end up with 40 wins due to their schedule. Unfortunately Jokic's team has a too much separation to ignore what Jokic is doing, and that is ok. I would rather Jokic win it so we can start to apply pressure on the FO, the main culprit for why Steph doesn't have his 3rd MVP, but more importantly why the Warriors seem to have alot of indecision all across the organization.

Ezra Abbey

draymonds should live at the free throw line and on the elbows and take those open jumpers in pick n roll action, he seems to be able to shoot those pretty well and itll keep the defense on their toes.

MQ

i think Steph helps off the strong side bc he's (prematurely) positioning for a rebound so he can quickly push the other end

Anonymous

If steph beats jokic on friday and has another 50 piece he the mvp fasho

We all knew that this is how the dubs should've played all season. perhaps kerr was trying to preserve Curry and see what the others could do for next year. The eye test has showed us what the stats have been saying all along that Wiseman and oubre were detrimental to the Chef. It begs the question about Wiseman's future on the team. The system is not made for Wiseman and he's not good enough offensively to take shots away from Steph. Finally this is the team we thought we were getting at the beginning of the season.

Anonymous

Aren't Loony and Draymond setting illegal screens? And I had to look for a second. I saw S. Curry and D. Green and Embiid on the same team.

Anonymous

Draymond definitely treat D.Lee like a kid he don’t care about that man feelings at all😂

Anonymous

Nothing really to add, great breakdown as always. I just thought they shouldve gone under the screen on Maxey, he didnt play much, but everytime he came off the screen, he was putting the D in scramble mode with one guy trailing him, havent seen him hit too many threes, and like u mentioned his float game is nasty.

Anonymous

Loon is Dirk in his Prime without the shot, stiff hips and high IQ (Defensively of course lmao)

Anonymous

Looney was struggling against Embiid until the 4th quarter, I also question Joel's clutch gene as he simply gives up a lot of possessions after a double team and we did a great job blocking off his passing lanes. To me it also seems like a stamina issue, like he'd rather Steph shoot an uncontested 3 rather than guard him close and take the energy to challenge Steph's drive. To be fair, game would have looked pretty different with Tobias there for extra spacing.

Anonymous

Thanks Alc. now that the Chauvin verdict is given, I will allow myself to be entertained

Anonymous

Bro I didn’t even notice draymond yelling at d.lee thanks alch

Anonymous

Holy shit holy shit. Thank You Steph for making the NBA fun again. With Steph balling like this, and Wiseman out, the decision to go for broke to make the playoffs is suddenly a no-brainer. It's freeing everyone up to just play. Even Kerr actually coached for a change! The FO should be trying like hell to find another front court piece who could move the needle even a little bit closer. A veteran Harrison Barnes type who can figure out the system quickly. I doubt they can reach the 6 spot, but even the 7 or 8 is better than 9 or 10 if they win the first game. The point is to appreciate and maximize all Steph is giving them now.

Anonymous

The 76ers are my favorite team in the East so I find myself watching them a lot...I think the hitch with Joel isn’t that he’s not clutch, but rather what the end of game situations are. He too easily gets pulled into trying to match others instead of doing his own thing. All the credit to Looney is this one tho, great defense by him & the team in general. Another fire one Alch appreciate it ✌🏽

Anonymous

Callie looks like doc with a wig on😂😂😂😂

Anonymous

Of the 10 3s Steph made, 1 came from off ball movement, 2 from iso pull-ups, and the rest from PnRs. The Sixers defense did itself no favors, but I'm just glad that the team was able to mix it up and not stick to the motion offense no matter what. Another thing worth noting is how high they set picks for Steph. Those were some 2016 picks. I don't know why they went away from this since then, but it feels good now that they brought it back.

Strong Foru

Alch, ESPN doesn't have anyone half as good as you!

Anonymous

Roger from Doug! Lmao Alch!

Major Powers

I mean this shit is just ridiculous. If Steph stays hot, the roleplayers roleplay, the defensive effort stays high, they can legitimately threaten a lot of teams in the playoffs, break some overconfident fan bases hearts.

Abhi Kelkar

Weird detail I noticed, why does Baze's jersey not have the Rakuten logo in the intro?

I'm here for the entertainment. Steph reminding everyone that there isn't a more fun player to watch when he is cooking. There is an outside chance he can snag the MVP but based on the team record it seems highly unlikely. The MVP award has never been awarded to the literal MVP of the league. It's a narrative and politically (in Bball context) driven award. At this point it's Jokers to lose. I do think cooler heads should prevail. Let's not pretend like you could expect this sort of play from Curry for more than a stretch of games. Different coaching and roster decisions could have got us a better record no question but in no way or shape is this a sustainable strategy over the course of an entire season even with someone as talented as the Chef. Hey I would love for teams to come looking for Loons in the off season if we can get a decent return for him that would be great. This season high performance from him doesn't change my position as nice as it was to see. This run of god level play is fun as hell to watch though in the back of my mind it tells me that the Front Office is likely going to be lulled into thinking that they don't need to make the moves they really should.

Anonymous

I think after watching this game I realized the true value of having players that played with Steph for 5+ years. It's hard to watch Draymond sometimes, but he's so invaluable with his two-man game especially now with teams focusing so hard on Steph. I realize it was a team effort, but there's no arguing he can't play the 5 still. You don't mess with the Chef's ingredients. Can't trade Draymond unless Curry signs off on it.

Russ

I'll give some solid credit to Draymond for this game. And Looney too who has really been playing well of late. Their screens r what Steph is feasting on right now. With Wiseman doing his fake set up, spin, and run every time I watched, Steph get doubled to death. With Loon and Dray setting great pics, its straight up MVP God mode. If we get or develop a big going forward just give me a guy who can set a screen and play D like Dray and Loon have been these last couple games. Spare us the selfish bigs who can't or won't play D or set picks because they think they are KD or Garnett like shooters, even if they could come close to those guys it doesn't fit. I'm thirsty as hell for Steph to get the MVP, u know Joe is too.

Anonymous

Man o man. Say some of these teams in the west get chipped up in the playoffs. I'd be terrified as a high seed team seein Steph in round one.

Major Powers

We're probably gonna try to get Iggy back on a vet min for his age 38 season, and I'm all for it.

Anonymous

Only if we HAD Klay...

Anonymous

He does yell at him. Dray is a bully and if dlee doesnt stand up to him it will continue. However, dray cant do anything to dlee if he stands up for himself

Anonymous

Joel needs steph curry beside him. Ben simmons and joel are same thing and tobias isnt good enough. Its gonna be a very painful exit for them in the playoffs. See how steph punked joel last night..

Anonymous

Stop listening to those twitter guys who want to punt kerr. The prroblem is mostly bob myers.we have a bad roster

Anonymous

You hit it spot on. Joel's body is built for 90s early 2000s basketball. His clutch gene is off because he's out of gas by the 4th quarter. Make no mistake big men almost always need a 1A/2 that can play on the perimeter. it's hard to play thru the paint in crunch time unless you have elite shooting and off ball movement. the Sixers were stagnant down the stretch standing in place watching making it easy for us to load up on Joel

Anonymous

The warriors are like a hardwood biblical scene where we get to witness his holiness wardell jesus christ curry play basketball and then feel the lord's disappointment when his 12 or howevermany disciples cant fully embody his teachings.

Freddie D

In the Philly game, Steph passed Bradley Beal for the lead for the scoring title. The very next game, we play Washington. Coincidence? I think not!

athleticalchemy

Right might as well take full advantage of the range and gravity. ATL kills with Trae and the double high drags

As we finish off these last 14 games I think the prevailing question will be do we want to face the jazz or the suns, and a part of me knows how good Utah is but there’s a level of familiarity there and perhaps a mental edge due to past events. Whereas Phoenix has a lot of good pieces to round out their monster big 3, there’s a reason they’re nipping at the heels of Utah. The unfamiliarity of D book and ayton coupled with cp3s familiarity with steph’s game is worrisome for me in a first round series. Probably getting bounced either way, but which would give us the best chance?

Jansen E

How lucky are we that Steph is on our team doing this right now. Is this how Bulls fans felt back in Jordan days? Granted.... He's not winning two threepeats. But watching a GOAT in their prime. Unreal.

Jansen E

Unrelated note: the DPE is gonna expire on Monday. What a fucking waste that was. We could've used it for someone... ANYONE to help Steph and give him SOME hope of not having to break his back taking this G-league team to the playoffs. But nope. It's gonna go unused and at best, we win the play-in game and have a first round exit. Sigh.

Jansen E

I gotta give it up to Kevon. If he had just the SMALLEST offensive game to score like 12-15 pts, he could be a walking double double. But he balled out last night. I just wish he would do it more. And Draymond ate Embiid's lunch somehow. Nice to see him look like his old self. Maybe this can really fuel them against the Wizards. Not a rivalry game at all, but it's the closest thing we have to a must-win. We are all still salty from that loss and it needs to be avenged. Hoping for another 50 from Steph.

Anonymous

Steph is the GOAT in terms of entertainment value in his prime. Is there someone more fun to watch? Excited to see him try to play some crazy hero ball in the post-season.

Jerry Heverly

The highlights miss a bunch of spastic plays from Embid. The double team -- but especially Looney -- made him look ordinary. If you were judging MVP candidates from this game it would be a mockery. Steph is the reincarnation of MJ; Embid looked like Joe Barry Carroll (obscure Warriors reference). I'm having a demonic vision of Steph going 1 for 13 on three's vs. Washington while Beal scores 55. (But JTA will score 35 in a Warrior's victory). I wish they would use Payton to throttle the opponent's big scorer (Westbrook?). He turned around the Boston game in just this kind of scenario.

Anonymous

bring on utah. we beat them already and rudy will get exposed like Embiid in the 1-5 pnr

Natto Santo

Draymond should really practice that mid-range jumper, it doesn't need to be pretty , as long as it drops through the hood. See Russel Westbrook does not have a good jumper but he practice that bank shot on the left side, now it becomes lethal.

Branden Edwards

Man if Steph carries this team to the 6th seed just name the MVP after him

Nathan Glanzer

Glad I caught this game. I was going to skip it but put it on at Half Time and glad I did. Very fun to watch. Almost a blessing that Seth did well early because it lead to him bricking some shots he probably wouldn't normally take that helped Warriors get some separation.

Anonymous

A genuine question Alch and anyone else who cares. I know a lot of teams prioritise getting back on transition D over trying to go after offensive rebounds. It's it worth more teams the warriors included leaning the other way? Given how prolific the 3 ball is and the generally high level of shots that can come from the perimeter when you do smash the O boards because the defence is all out of wack at that point.

Connor H

I never get tired of the shots at danny “horse-whisperer” green

One of the best Alchemy videos hands down. I had to come back and rewatch
