What do you think about damian jones injury? Will he improve or be out of the league after his current contract? How will it affect their center rotation? they only have looney and bell for center until boogie gets back

athleticalchemy

We have been complaining to see Bell! Hopefully his ankle was a tweak. But I think We will see Jerebko there when push comes to shove.

Anonymous

Jerebko best offseason acquisition since Iguodala, who says no? ;) (j/k I didn't forget KD)

athleticalchemy

well there is that guy KD... but nah I feel you! Lets see how Alfonzo does the rest of the way too

Kahlil Baker

How do you think the lineups will change with DJ out?

Anonymous

I hope when dj comes back he doesn't let the injury make him even more timid, don't want a McCaw 2.0 on our hands

Anonymous

First Klay three you showed was after the 24 sec, Steph late with the pass. So it is correct he had 1 for the game

Alchemy being Alchemy, Zaza is "not only a goon squad client, he's the good squad president." That's perfect. **$50 for anybody who can name what commercial Alchemy is referring to**

Some of these offensive fouls on Steph you did not comment on (including one you showcased)

athleticalchemy

Ok! That was another Steph hesitant play... those will forever be bad calls there is gray area

Anonymous

Boogie's pregnant girlfriend from Detroit. Ha, Alch you're on fire tonight.

Anonymous

Great video Alchemy. It was one of those "I got it" "No, you got it" games where the guys were not on the same page. Is Curry a shooter? or a play-maker? Just a lot of question marks. It happens when a guy comes back from injury being away.

December is gonna be a crazy month for the Warriors. Lineup changes. Return of Boogie.

I wasn't mad at the game, we just lost... Steph struggled a bit, imo more with turnovers and overall comfortability but still dropped 27 and hit some big time buckets for us... I liked the the way the offense looked with our PG back and I am anticipating a win in our next matchup against the Hawks...

This is my real personal take: The most the Warriors EVER got exposed was protecting the three point line against the Rockets. Smart scouts studied that achilles against the Warriors, and now teams all over the league are putting up 3 pointers at a high volume, especially against the Warriors. Why the Warriors are shooting less 3 pointers per game is the $50,000 pyramid mystery.

Anonymous

Oh yes I thought those were 6 points that Steph should have gotten, which would have resulted in a momentum change. We probably still would have lost though.

I guess my previous comment got temporarily deleted as I was replying. @Zaza4President no I am not over thinking anything, these are obvious problems unrelated to the lineup problems. These have to do with decision making. Alch you are 100% right this was a bad juju game. Not sure why, maybe they were both being extra physical. That KDxDJ interaction was nice to see. The best games I've seen from KD and Steph are when they have that deadly calmness to them. That 38 game injury return against the Grizzlies is still one of Steph's best games, with an effortless 106% TS. Like you said, we like to think Steph always has this deadly calm confidence but he doesn't, it fluctuates like any other human being.

The Blake change of pivot feet at 2:40....sigh....obvious travels used to be called in the NBA now not so much but it also acts as a sad commentary on NBA fundamental.

I thought our big men were pretty bad again this game..I really don't get why they could not just keep Javale. Looking at how he's playing right now at Lakers.. Was he asking too much money? I doubt it..

There were some big passes in the first half to Klay and JJ from Steph that bricked out. Think some of those open shots go in and the whole makeup of the game would've been different. But it was the first game back. Interested how much of Dray's long rest is tied to them seeing what this current squad looks like without him. Curry seems to work best working mostly at the two off the ball and having Dray back at the end of the road trip we will probably see Curry's numbers boost up again. Be great to see KD handle the point forward position with more flexibility. Seems like he makes his mind up with the shot way before hand. If we willing to drive and kick more be an interesting attack with his premium shooters.

Bailey

I just watched the game this morning. I read that their plan was Steph would not play the entire 3rd quarter. BUT that's when he caught rhythm............. So when Kerr pulled him after he hit 2 threes and 2 steals, I was like noooooooo And having him start the 4th quarter without another shooter? I don't get it. Yeah he was great on defense tho. I can't help thinking when Steph put up those solid numbers in the past, he was coming back from injury to a "different" team. I miss Zaza. He's a great screen setter.

athleticalchemy

You nailed it with KD his mind is made up early a lot of the time. But that is also why he goes on crazy tears. Same could be said about Klay. I think we see JJ 3's go up here as he is more comfortable and steps gravity. I also wonder about the Dray thing, They just aren't really disclosing a lot about it.

athleticalchemy

Did you catch JB in the beginning of the telecast talk about how glad he is Mike Brown is along side Kerr? Just the tone of it...Kinda suggesting like time to make some tweaks.

athleticalchemy

I think he and Kerr were tired of each other. He felt Kerr didn’t give him enough opportunities. Kerr obviously doesn’t like low iq players.

HAD TO MAKE A NEW ACCOUNT BUT IM FINALLY BACK...FUUUUCK

During the game I kept saying that Steph played really good defense. He got some nice steals, he hounded Detroit players off-ball, and it just felt like he put a lot of effort and energy on that side. And I know you said he got to the rim well, but I still think he should penetrate to the rim more in the future, especially when he isn't shooting well. Or at least shoot some long twos. Also, I think that Steph's minutes threw him off too. Like Kerr would pull him in and out of the game at random moments, and I know he wasn't necessarily playing well, or maybe he wasn't in game shape but I still think that threw him off. Looking forward to seeing what Bell can do with the extra minutes he's going to get with Jones' absence.

What you think about dj possibly being out the whole season with a torn shoulder

athleticalchemy

Very tough break for him at this point in his career. As for the Warriors they will be fine.... might even stumble into something that is ore effective.

athleticalchemy

Hell yeah! Thank you for the support and welcome!

Let's keep it real. We miss Draymond bad. The offense does not work without Draymond. The offense doesn't work bc the defense doesn't work. No early offense. No transition 3's. No Draymond pushing the pace and running the break and finding open shooters. No Draymond as the screener in high PnR to find shooters and cutters after he gets the ball. When Draymond is the ball handler and playmaker, the floor is spread bc you have Curry, KD, and Klay moving freely. Don't have that anymore. The floor is not spread right now. The floor is clogged up. Draymond is the key to everything we do.

Anonymous

For sure Draymond's fast pacing is crucial to the Warriors but the team was shooting poorly even when we were playing with Dray. In fact, it was shooting worse. When Dray is not pressuring transition offense, he is actually a liability in spacing because he cannot shoot. But I place most of the blame on Klay and KD for having poor awareness of spacing and settling for too many midrange shots, as well as the veterans being a total offensive liability. It's difficult to place Livingston and two other non shooters on the floor at the same time. The team's bad offense is being masked by pure talent.

hahah Langston Galloway....extra from OZ. Now that is a call back right there
