Cavs transition defense in last year's final was dreadful and Love, Lebron, Korner, JR, Irving were main culprits. Both Korver and Love are extremely slow and with those two it's not about want to it's about can't. Cavs have to slow it and limit possessions for the Warriors and hope slowing the pace drives the Warriors to more turnovers that's the only formula sans injuries.

Yeah too me they have to go big. you put your non defending shooters out there and it will be a quick death.

You don't think Jeff Green will guard KD?

Klay is in much better shape than Rocco.....

Anonymous

Well it certainly can't be the 3 amigos

Lebron wanted TT and that guys contract is an absolute anchor around the neck of that franchise....that's on Lebron 's judgement.

Hey, don't pick on Rocco, that's his genetic bulldog shape.....

Damn Uncle Alc, I was feeling a little nostalgic and went and checked out some older vids from you, and you really have stepped up, growing & evolving the whole time. In my mind you've always been the same just cause I watch all your stuff all the time (like how you don't notice how much taller your kid is getting cause you see them every day), but when you jump back a year and a half you can hear and see the growth. (Don't ever delete that old shit tho, gotta keep it it's like a scientific document). I just wanted to remark on how fucking good you have gotten and good you already were back then. Can't wait to see the future.

The Cavs are gonna try something. Like a zone defense or some shit. Something crazy. Not saying it's going to work, but this feels me to-at least on paper-the grand mismatch everyone else sees. Which means the Cavs know that too. So I expect them to put Curry and every pick and roll, yes, but since they'll need something so much more, I'm simply expecting them to try something so much more.

Warriors in 5 (and they drop one, just because)

Offense must run through Steph and steph gotta be better than KD to win, we need "I want a finals MVP" mode steph or "this is my fucking house" steph to push through 40+ pt Bron

athleticalchemy

I hear you...He has been playing GM since he left for Miami. But I don't hold much stock in draft position. Otherwise the Magic & Suns should have plenty of help.

athleticalchemy

makes sense...I think they will be hard pressed to match the physicality Houston brought. The Dubs should feel relatively comfortable.

If you look on YouTube for Tim Leglers analysis form last year's finals, he goes thru lots of video examples of just how bad the Cavs were in transition defense, specifically Love, James. JR, Korver and you can through Thompson in as well since he's always well under the basket pursuing every shot on offense. The video shows example after example when the Warriors take possession and the Cavs must transition to D they are in position to do it but then the Warriors hit the gas and simply run past them....nothing has changed in that the shooters for the Cavs can't play transition defense and the new more athletic players can't shoot. The Warriors will kill the Cavs with their own version of Showtime.

You right about Steph, he got GREAT mileage this season with all that injury-rest. Now that he's got that confidence in his handle again, the stage is set for a Curry Finals MVP performance...

Alc we gonna do a pre game with you tonight?

Just play GSW bball. It's as simple as that. What messed us up against Houston is that we tried to become something we're not. We need to play our brand of bball and do what we do best.
